Counter-Strike Global Offensive's classic map dust2 is getting overhauled. In this video, we compare the old Dust2 with the new one and show the frame rate with fraps. Counter-Strike is set to maximum graphics and played in 4K UHD.

Candyland new map feels bit weird to me cause im used to old dust 2.but still new map is better cause old had bad graphics and new is much better imo

I don't play this, but I like that the second edition looks genuinely lived in, versus the first, which looks like an interpretation of what a middle eastern city "probably" looks like as interpreted as a person who's never ever been there before.

the new dust 2 must be like crysis 3 and ac syndicate they all lag with the newest top of the line cpus well atleast for ac syndicate an i5 7600k won't save you
I know I have an old asf i5 and 1050ti and can run this shit at like 200fps. just play it on low settings if you want frames, it still looks better than a bethesda game.

Los Medinas it will be optimized, also your not going to see a 40-60fps drop like in the video. The higher you go the easier the frames fluctuate or drop. Harder to reach 300 in 4k than 60-200 in 4k as well. Stress the 4k
you would get a better performance by just askin random people in communities for old not used hardware

Tell him to use hialgo boost. Went from 100fps to 140 on old Dust2 for me

I honestly prefer the old one. Everything is much more clear, easy to see, and you get better fps.
I like the new one better tho,the lighting is more brighter and its more detailed🤔🤔🤔
Old Dust two looked like a warzone, with nice tile textures and palace was an actual palace but I guess Valve didn't think it was dusty enough

Alexov Gaming half life 3 script got leaked a couple weeks ago and modders are using it to make a mod. There's too much hype around it though, it's just gonna be a disappointment. They don't need to make games anymore, steam has been a huge income for them. If they made a new game which they said they are then it would be for fun.

Even though I never played cs i still like the old de_dust 2 more it just seems a little more iconic
1:34 the goose text graffiti turned into graffiti of a real goose in the newer version
It looks so much better. The dull yellow tone of the old map was really dated, but the new one is just so pretty.

Considering it’s a competitive game, it’s more important that the layout of the map makes it easier to play tactical. Whether it’s depressing or not doesn’t really matter imo. Old map was better, with better layout and certain angles etc. Also the flat floor was a massive advantage to players who BHop. The slightly uneven ground on new dust makes it difficult to bhop, not that it’s really important, but it’s worth to mention.
Also I guess the yellow tone was because of all the dust on the map... Which they removed... Which takes away the whole point of the map’s name...

I personaly like the old dust 2 more. Don't tell me "blinded by nostalgia" but I personally like the old 2 burning cars at Long, I personally like the dome (mosque) like structures in B site, I personally like the more dense feel of the map. I don't like how they changed the outside of the map (the inaccessible parts used to look better IMO, especially from CT to Long Cars or from T to B site. I also very much so dislike the orangeish tone they used in the new buildings. I do agree that the more lively feel of the new dust 2 with the doors and windows around look better but, The simplicity was a different feel.

I just started playing CSGO last year, but I was able to play it one time with the old texture because my friend let me use his account. I always wondered if dust 2 was always like this. because it looked different from that one time i played. I didn't know until recently that they changed the map, but even when i did, i didn't know the difference of the look was this big. I thought it was like the 2018 mirage update where it actually looks and feels about the same with some adjustments on some models like the stairs from t spawn to b aps etc. Personally, I like the old version more. It feels more like a warzone. The new one, to be honest it feels more like source dust 2, i know it doesn't look the same but it gives off the same vibe. I find it boring though.
Old dust 2 had way more character than now.

A $200-300 PC build could easily run this map, or upgrading an old office PC with a cheap GT 1030 for like $70 would fix anyone's fps problems. Seriously, this isn't a big deal.
ImmortalAmpharos csgo is cpu sensitive tho.

I like the old dust 2, burnt out cars and a humvee add to the immersion of fighting terrorists
The sad thing is that CS:GO is still broken, I have 80-120 fps when I should have 300+ FPS

I don't like the way bomb site b and tunnels look like. Too much sand, stone textures and too narrow/tall tunnels. I really like the clean new Long and T spawn.
