Glad to see your back, after seeing your inspiring Bolens videos years ago - Creek romping and through the woods, I began to see if there were any nearby me, Found one Bolens 1054, I sent my Son over to take a look, and Guy who we bought it from was asking what we were going to do with it - keep it original , we picked it up. A 1054 with a Wisconsin motor, and plow in the front, what a machine! we use it for light snow plowing and hauling the lawn trailer around. or just tool around the backyard thru the gears. Also loved the old field driving classics - Monte Carlo around the field, and how to 4x4 a full size Chevy extended cab thru the woods. have a Happy New year!
Sorry for the late reply :) that's really great. Yeah, a 1054 is just a 1050 with a different paint job, and, basically the best bolens ever made in my opinion. The high/lo in the trans, not belt style like the 600/800/850/900, and the Wisconsin tr10d (first year) tra10d for the last 3 years of the 1050, and the 1054, really perfect engine for the 650 pound beast. I've never rebuilt a Wisconsin, and I'm a little ashamed of that :) haha, hopefully I will freshen up one soon. Rings, valve seat grinding, all that fun stuff. I've got a lot of machines that need it.
I've been searching for your channel for 6 months. I remembered you commented on one of my old videos, and I was able to track it down from there. Wanted to say thank you for uploading the old creek videos of your Willys. At the time I was in early high school, and those videos made me fall in love with the Jeep. Years later I have a collection of them and make some videos myself. My favorite videos were the one where the Jeep was left in the creek and the clutch seized onto the flywheel, and another where someone was riding in the rear on a glorified van seat while you drifted around in the mud. If I remember correctly you bought the Jeep from an uncle. Thanks for all the work and entertainment you provided.
Hey man! Sorry it took a while to reply. I appreciate it so much :) most of the time, don't know if the story and motivation behind what I do comes through I'm the videos. But you clearly understood with the Willy's. :) And I'm so happy you've got some to mess around with and appreciate! I love almost all old machines, but man... The jeeps really are something special. Haha, I mean, to the point where they became their own sub group of vehicle type. In my old shop on the ceiling I had pictures of probably 15 or more different companies versions of a "jeep" some were direct clones like the Mitsubishi. Which had a turbo diesel 5 speed at one point... Lucky bastards :) there was even a French one, that probably sucked, haha. Saw it in an old black and white movie, and screenshot'd it, printed it out. But yeah, pretty amazing vehicle, changed the world, in it's own small and large ways.
You probably wouldn’t remember this but a long time ago I asked you about a good 3 wheeler to get started with. To make a long story short, I have a 82 185s and 82 250r now :) thank you for showing me how cool these old trikes are
I’ve always been amazed at engines like that. Even more fun is to go to an engine show and watch something like a hit and miss engine do it’s thing. The rpm’s are so slow, some of the readers can’t even register them.
Wow I remember years ago seeing this in one or two videos you had, great to see it's still around working and it's great to see another video from ya! I've been a bolens fan for almost 10 years because of the videos you shared of them going through just about anything like little tanks haha! Cheers man glad your doing well
Awesome man! haha yeah, I only have grown to respect bolens more over the years. Definitely miss the old days when people had them sitting for years in their yards, and would just give them away.
ah man. Hope that works out ok for you. Yeah, these are great machines. I feel like when i see them for sale around here, they are usually about 1500 with a deck. and that seems pretty reasonanle. Usually in way better condition then this one.
So Iooked it up, because the standard cub and cub loBoy trans is a 3 speed, tractor data says the 800 is a 3 speed, so I'm guessing the standard cub trans. Also says there was a creeper option. So basically low range for all the gears Pretty cool. Like a Bolens sort of :)
@@tommartyn Yes, I hit the wrong key, it is a 3 speed, I also have a 1977 Massey Ferguson 1200, 12 hp, 4 speed with deck and snowblower. I'd like to find a Bolens and a Allis-Chalmers, hard to find one priced right around here.
holy s*** tom why did you delete all your old vids that was history i have been subbed for a long time and loved all the old vids with the guys just came back after not seeing to much activity
Hey man, sorry, my grandmother died, and I just haven't had the time to reply to comments and all, so I took the videos down. But hopefully I can get them back up soon. I'm really glad you enjoyed them enough to leave this comment though, thank you. :)
It does look super ancient. I bet it was made out of some older trailer. There is definitely a lot of home made action going on on it. Probably used parts from a really old trailer. Solid steel wheels, with square nuts for everything... Haha, pretty old.
Been a long time since I seen this channel, used to watch your creek romping videos and shenanigans all the time, hope you’re well, did you ever get everything rebuilt from the fire? And how’s your buddy down in Virginia?
Hey man! Lost a lot from the fire, but have things back enough to work on things and all. Mike down in Virginia is pretty good. Probably a bit bored, but still happier then living in a very congested area. Hope you're doing well too sir. :)
Hey Tom, hope you’re doing okay. Can you please re list some ATC videos?? I miss them a ton, I find myself getting more bikes and wanting to watch your vids on them. For example I just picked up a cherry 85 200s it’s in great shape. I know you feel like you can’t keep up with all the comments, don’t stress about it! Cheers bud
Hey man, it has been resting for a few years. Really need to figure out something with the motor mounts. The fan was hitting the radiator fan shield a lot.

Yeah, I'll try to make some again soon.
Hi, Katherine Hepburn. You are lucky to be friends with that man, no one like him in the world.
Great to see a video from you again, the Cub Low Boys are really nice tractors. Wish I could find one in any condition. Glad you are doing ok yet ;-)
Thanks man :) Yeah, they are great little tractors. I dig just listening to it idle.

Awesome man. Yeah, rings a bell. Cool both your trikes are 82's. Hope you do some nice wheelies on the beasts :)
@@tommartyn I think I put up a short video of me 12’o clockin the 250r. Still working on the 185!

hahah, thats great. Yeah, i've actually only been to one show, and pretty sure there was a big tractor with a hit and miss engine. really cool
Glad to see the Lo-Boy runnin' again. I've yet to get my Cub runnin' again, but hopefully here soon.

Tom goo seeing ya post again, super cool old rig! Im looking for something like that at my Ar property back in Fl at the moment sorting my kid out.

I like the cub lo-boy, I hope to find one someday to sit beside my cub 800. It's good to see you, I miss the tractor videos.
Thanks! Yeah, I've really been enjoying working on them again. does the 800 still use the Cub trans?
@@tommartyn As far as I know It does, It's a 1975, 3 speed, 8 hp no headlights, Quiet line with deck and plow

Hey Tom hope you are doing good.I think I'm speaking for alot of people when I say that the vids are missed big time
Thanks man. It means a lot. I really hope I can start making videos again soon. :)
Hey Tom, used to watch your videos years ago, just wanted to say thanks for the entertainment.
Awesome man! Thanks!!
That tractor is running like a Swiss watch👌
Yeah, it's pretty happy at the moment :)
I really like that Lo-Boy, very cool tractor. The trailer is very cool too. Thanks for posting the video
Thanks! Yeah, the trailer looks pretty good with it.
Your vids are back up! Glad to see it. Been through a few of em today. Good times, fueled by gasoline!
Happy Thanksgiving man.
Donut Dan
Thanks man :) yeah some are back up :) wish it was all. Happy.... Well, valentine's day is the closest. So hope you have a good one of those! :)
@@tommartyn Man time flies Eh?
Man that thing has been through the ringer, can’t kill those low boys haha
haha, definitely, some great machines.
Hey the Lo Boy has an intake now! Nice going!
Haha, yeah man. For a few years now. Actually filtering the air going in. Pretty modern stuff :)
@@tommartyn Can't get it too modern though, next thing you know it will have a gauge that tells you how much fuel is in it. Wild!
Ticks over like a clock! Awesome to see another video man :)
Thank you sir! :) Yeah, runs pretty good. :)
Low boys just asking for a turbo.
Haha, it would probably appreciate the efficiency. It really needs a get or two extra between 2 and 3.
Always a pleasure to hear from you! Is the 74 celica still out there? Would love to own it ;)

Man I'm really sorry to hear that. I lost mine two years ago it's rough take all the time you need and keep being awesome bud.🤘
Reminds me of that I think Russian tractor that idles at 0RPM, like it pops back and forth and never makes a full revolution, lol

Pretty awesome man, I want that beast. :)
Good to see ya man!!
Thank you sir. :)
That low boy is awesome
yeah man, definitely one of the best things we ever found.
Looks like that trailer was probably ancient when they brought it to the house
