Liked and subscribed, nice video, I'm planning on doing that route soon. You started the hike at 4:40 am or so, what time did you reach the peak and return? I'm a bit worried about getting down in time, I'm probably going to start earlier at 3 am.

Hi Stuart, thanks for your message. All the relevant times are mentioned in the description. We reached the summit at 12:45 (8 hours climbing, including breakfast and breaks on the way up). Starting at 3am is fine for sure, it gives you more room to fully enjoy the climb and to have a relaxed feeling. Good luck and enjoy your trip! All the best!

How old are kids and do they need much hiking experience?

At that time, they were 7, 9 & 12 years old. Regarding the experience for kids, I would say ‘yes’, certainly when you would do it in 1 day. You have the climb >2,000 altimeters, for us it took about 15 hours in total (up & down). The upper climb (via ferrata) is not so difficult, but you should be very careful, certainly with kids. I secured the youngest one with an additional rope. Most details of our trip are listed in the description, but don’t hesitate to contact us if you have further questions. All the best!

The answer above was ours (but apparently I was still logged in with our other account). Grts, Thomas
