Flying in the yellow arc is totally acceptable in smooth air. The aircraft can withstand gust half the force that it can in the green arc so there is amble margin for safety even in light turbulence. Great video.
I love this version of the 172 having flown Flight Simulator since the 1995 version! The only thing I wish they would fix is the lights on the autopilot which are non-functional. This has been an issue since at least Flight Simulator 2004, possibly earlier (I'm fairly sure it is the same in 2002, I didn't have 2000). Come on Microsoft, it's been 2 decades!
