I’m glad u found Christ which is what is most important. Whatever church it is. I’ve known of ex Satanist in all faiths. We had many in evangelical and Pentecostal churches and we have many in Catholic Church. They talk about why and how they were led to Catholicism and how powerful it is and they knew this because of being ex high level satanic priests.
This reminds me of how C.S. Lewis in The Screwtape Letters predicted the atheistic demon worshipper or sorcerer. Someone denying the spiritual yet simultaneously weaponizing it. I see the sprouts of this darkness today.

Beautiful! Glory to God. I was born into a nominally hindu family. When I converted to Christianity, I really saw the power of the demons at work and then later on in life became EO.
My hubby became EO in the 80s in the Santa Cruz mountains and was an EO Deacon for almost 30 years…we run a beeswax candle factory and icon shop in Central California

I have Sister Anastasia’s book… my book is soon to be republished, “Confessions of a Controlaholic.” My life story from RC in liberal Berkeley to losing the faith and going Sex drugs rock n roll, New Age, Hindu cult. Then Protestant for ten years, RC again until God brought me to EO in 2014 at age 56!

If you would have read up our bible you would not ever gone to Rome. Hebrew 10 debunkes mass and purgatory. And prayers to dead people is prohibited
@@albusai Prayers for the dead are something Christians have always done (and Jews before us) and is most certainly biblical. We Orthodox Christians do not believe in purgatory. With that said, Hebrews 10 in no way debunks liturgical worship.
We have many ex high level Satanists that came to Christ in Catholic Church too and they speak on everything they did and how and why it led them to the Catholic Church.
This is si similar to my experience. I too was an occultist before I became Orthodox, and the books 'Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future' by Seraphim Rose and 'The Gurus, the Young Man and Elder Paisios' by Dionysios Farasiotis were also very important in my conversion, alongside 'Divine Eros' by St. Symeon the New Theologian.

EXCELLENT BOOK Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future by Father Seraphim Rose! I wish I’d found him instead of the Hindu guru in 1983. I begged God to save me out of it in 1995 and Christ met me in my brothers ICU hospital room!

If demons give you health, if Odin helped me end my alcohol addiction, how do you know you're not the one who is wrong?
Yes, demons or evil spirits use pagan gods (idols) to temporarily help people. However, this 'temporary help' is like a worm on a fishhook. A false reality is embraced through them which will eventually lead to self-collapse. I have a friend who used to worship Odin and is now an Orthodox Christian if you want to connect with him.
@@barrelagedfaith you're welcome to your belief, but my gods aren't demons. A demon actually came into my life when I was young wearing the skin of a christian pastor who stole my dad's tools from my mom before my dad's body was cold. Since then I've met many more demons in the form of christians who sided with the pastor despite the pastor being forced to return what he stole, which he ended up tricking my mother into receiving a box of rocks instead of my dad's tools.
If your god's religious leaders are capable of stealing from a widow, you'll have your work cut out trying to convert me to what I see as an evil religion.
@@barrelagedfaith the gods I recognize are not demons, I'm quite certain of that. My family dealt with a demon when I was kid though in the form of a christian pastor. He stole my dad's tools from my mom before my dad's body could grow cold after he passed. The pastor was eventually forced to return my dad's tools but ultimately tricked my mom by returning my dad's toolbox filled with rocks instead of my dad's tools. Since learning of this treachery, I've had several christians side with the pastor so you'll have your work cut out for you if you plan to convert me to what I see as an evil religion.
@@rinyotsu2.0 no doubt that the kingdom of darkness can also work through pastors, priests, or any who will submit to it through sin, selfishness, and pride. But theft has nothing to do with Christ. We don't judge Odin or Christ based upon those who abuse their teaching or religion. I am merely stating that I believe you will find Christ to be more effective in liberating you throughout your life.

If the pastor was the only evil christian I had experience with, you'd be correct. But experience with christians throughout my life has taught me to keep them at arms length if I don't want to be a victim of what they believe their god thinks is ok. I've had a gun pointed at me, I was bullied heavily as a kid, and for every decent christian I've dealt with 10 evil ones

Send them to monasteries that Elder Ephraim started… I had three exorcisms before my Baptism. Local churches might be ecumenist or modernist so Elder Ephraim’s monastery is good to start with.
Every rite of baptism in the Orthodox Church includes exorcism. So long as your priest is preaching Orthodoxy and celebrating the sacraments you're good to go. The monasteries founded by Elder Ephraim (soon to be St. Ephraim, God willing) are holy places filled with holy monastics, but it's not always wise to send the newly illumined to more ascetically rigorous monasteries right out of the gate. As St. Paul stated, we need milk before meat.
@@CosmicMystery7 I know. It was determined that due to my fairly mild (compared to others) background, that I needed more exorcism by a priest experienced in it. Some might need this, it depends.
I was baptised and catechised through one of the athonite style monasteries Geronda Ephraim started. My spiritual father is the abbot at that one. There is nothing wrong with sending new catechumens to these oases of grace.

These arguments aren’t specific to EO and is found in RC too. We were the same church anyway. 😂
I’ve been in both and even looking at the spiritual/prayer aspect in itself only…I didn’t feel any closer to God or more spiritual there. In fact I find it more and deeper in RC to be honest. God is God. Holy Spirit is Holy Spirit. He’s not only in one church or better or stronger in one church 😂.
