glad i found this review coz i believe i made the right choice between Saramonic B2+, HollyLand M1 and this Godox Magic XT1 that i don't have any info but today Amazon sells this for 87 Bucks! can't walk away with that deal and pulled the trigger on the XT1. the down side i found was the design where it sits high when you place it on the hot shoe...
Any idea when this will be available on the market in the UK? I am keen to get this mic as I am just beginning to add audio to some of my photography services (wedding speeches etc) and I am really keen to purchase but it doesn't seem to be available yet?
The form factor and price of this makes it great. Sound quality is good too. I just wish it had an optional/additional receiver to pair with phones like the lark m2 without the need of a cable. And yeah that denoise button needs a firmware update to keep it locked from a short press. But overall, this seems great.
You do get sales for the hollyland lark m2 now to bring it closer to the price of the xt1 and it is a lot more compact while on the camera which is nice - I don't mind putting the charge case away but lugging that battery bank receiver on top of the camera looks awkward.
Very Cool. It sounds distorted every now and then, like at 9:13. When you say wireless, you may have had the gain too high, or the mic can't handle it. What do you think that distortion is?
As I noted on screen, when I switched to the direct connection I didn’t adjust the volume and it was peaking for the rest of the video. Turns out it got louder. Or I got louder? But also that’s both a knock against me and the display system, which never once showed a redline, because it’s too slow to catch any of those peaks. It was going into the orange, but never the red, when it should have been clearly showing that.
Great video! Let's say that I'd like to use this Magic XT1 for both my XT5 (this would work) but also my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 swapping from one another. Is this compatible on the Pocket 3 or not? Thanks
I don’t believe it has a Bluetooth antenna/chip which enables this functionality. DJI mic2 has a lot more room inside to fit a secondary transmission standard ;) Maybe in the XT2! 🥴
Hmm I’d never heard of them before. But I guess at about 2.5x the price they should be a bit better? lol I could have used the peaking protection Pico seems to offer, as the display isn’t clear on when you’re peaking, and it got too hot when I switch to direct mode. Oof
@@WesPerry I'm just a real estate photographer and do talking talking heads for realtors - I think they sound great and they are very discreet when putting them on talent, only a tiny tiny clips shows to camera. They last for hours and hours too - shame they never got much you tube love. Had the same set for three years now.

Does the Godox let you simultaneously output from the 3.5mm jack and UAC?
Just gave it a try and the Line out, Headphone out, and UAC all work simultaneously.

Put it on the inside of your shirt, or put a piece of tape on it. There’s no way to disable the LED.

At this time it doesn’t seem to be. There is no Bluetooth.

And dB at Orange depends on what volume level you have it set to (which also lacks numbers)
