Hi again everyone! I’m beyond moved and thankful for all the support shown here, I was not expecting such a strong response. I just want to reaffirm, *your support here is enough* ♥️ There are negative comments popping up on this new brands page and I really don’t want that for them, for you or on behalf of me. Obviously I can’t control anyones actions and we are all entitled to our opinions and beliefs but the way I see it, everything is energy and we reap what we sow. Where we comment, watch and spend our time online is how we spend our social media currency (absolutely no one making a living online can do so without you, so own that power and direct your digital engagement to the online spaces that make you feel good and the people/things you want to support and see more of). A sea of silence and non-engagement speaks much louder than the generated traffic of unsupportive views and comments online. Just watching today, engaging with all these kind responses and sharing excitement for the rebrand over here is entirely enough and I hope that energy and support will come back to you tenfold! I really appreciate the amount of care it takes to want to take more action in some way, so maybe show some love to another small business, buy someone a coffee next time you’re in line, or start up that online business you’ve been thinking about if you need to direct that energy into action (just don’t forget to file your trademark). I’ve made peace with this and am enjoying the rebranding process along with this sweet pocket of time with my wee babe.

The name can be taken. But the passion, love, effort, creativity, sleepless nights, stressful days, and everything you did to create more than just the brand name - to create the community, the positivity, the safety, the atmosphere - can never be taken from you. As much as the name represented, a name is also just a name. Everything you did to create the Koze Community is still here and we are all still in so much appreciation and awe of you. I’m excited for all that is yet to come!

Not even a year later and Jaclyn is shutting her doors. So awful she put you through this for nothing
I saw this video when it first came out, but it's being recommended again now. I can't imagine what it's been like, having your brand ripped from you, only to have Jaclyn toss Koze aside a few months later. To have her say her heart isn't in it... I mean we knew that, but it's such a slap in the face that she's so dismissive of the damage caused, and openly admits she didn't care about the brand at all. She leaves a path of destruction in her wake, and in her mind it's NEVER her fault. I hope things are looking up, and that you never have to go through something like this again ♥

Man! The amount of times youve accepted responsibility and said "bad move on my part" inwish Jaclyn would have said atleast ONCE in her latest video of shutting down her businesses. Shows how differently u both are raised. Everyone makes errors but how u accept accountability for them is what makes the difference. More power to you, always. ❤

Not gonna lie, it’s pretty tacky that she chose the name Koze. She knew exactly what she was doing and had no regard for you. Anytime you open a business, you do research on your potential brand name. As a small business owner, it super bums me out for you. Sending love your way!
I feel like it’s so heartless
This is so typical of that creator, sadly.
It’s not even just the name, like the aesthetic itself too.
I’m pretty sure she knew Koze existed, but decided to take the name anyway because it wasn’t trademarked. Think that is such an evil and vile move on her side. Guess that’s just that business mentality coming through…
The logo design is also very similar.
I’m 28… I have been watching her videos since I was in high school. I have idolized and admired her ever since.
This is my first time coming across your channel, and I’m in awe of your nobility.
You have gained a new follower. I am rooting for your success 💕
I personally found you through her launch video, and found myself relating to you more than her by miles. Of course, through you're also a mother, down to earth, and humble, someone that i would much rather support. This is so sad not because your name is taken and you have to rebrand because you are handling it well, but because women in this day and age, should do nothing but help and uplift eachother, there's no way she didn't decide to just ignore your message and name. I feel like her constant talk of "this is my 3rd brand and business, and blah blah" just shows how she had the time and resources to change the name. I will be following this rebrand, you have a new follower and she has lost my support. 🤷🏻♀️
Also, like to add, none of her "apologies" or addressing of any other drama have felt genuine and i just want people to remember that when she finally addressed this issue. It is clear, we heard Kalyn's story and of course she will make up what she wants of not knowing anything about this and pinning it all on her "team." don't be gullible people, this "creator" has done enough to prove she is not genuine and money hungry 😅
I am very sorry that this person walzed all over you and your business. But I am proud of the way you handled the whole situation and that you decided to be the bigger person. Karma is your friend and it will show in the success you‘ll have with your next endeavour. I am glad that you see this as a chance to do something even better and I am excited for what‘s to come! 😍

i parted ways from this creator after she did this to you. i’ve been following you for essentially the entirety of my adulthood (and i’m pushing 30 now). i’ve been a loyal follower of hers as well even through all the drama associated because she’s a beauty icon and i worked in the beauty industry for so long. this wasn’t okay. you’re handling it so beautifully and gracefully though. i love ya girl. cheers to being the bigger woman ✨🍾🥂
I’m with you. I had been being following the other creator as well as Kayln for a long time. I was in awe when I saw the other creator posted and trade marked the Koze brand. I was a full supporter of Kayln for years and didn’t want to support the other Koze brand. I was struggling on what I should do about following the creator that took Kaylins brand. So after this video I unfollowed all brands that are associated with her, her makeup and her jewelry. I had previous to this post wanted to support her but I feel it’s wrong and the way Kaylin is handing this is beyond measure.
Same, I couldn't watch a woman do this to another woman and act like it's fine.
I’m with you! I’ve followed both for many years but Kalyn feels like family to me! Watching her handle this with far more grace than I feel right now is so inspiring and not at all surprising, while the other is silent and cares more about money than doing the right thing ❤
I' have the same journey been following the other creator for years, and I was a true support even will all the drama and now I feel like I've been played all alone. and it just doesnt sit right with me. Ugh. She really showed her true colors by not even considering a thing that you said in this video. I stopped being a supporter of hers MANY years ago because I could see greed had taken her over. This situation just confirms it and I’m so relieved that I stopped supporting her when I did. I’m so glad I’ve found you!! It’s given me faith that there are still genuine creators out there. Jaclyn Of course and her team did their due diligence. She just didn't CARE. She just wanted to capitalize and take what was there for the taking. Kalyn your behavior is elegant within a malicious business move by JH without regard for a fellow RUclipsr. Jaclyn may now have the name, Make make money off it, but her life is CLEARLY out of control. She is now EVEN MORE despised, an alcoholic, out of control with her weight and she can never hope to have the class and decency that you have. May she have karma come her way soon. May her followers stop spending money on her garbage 🙏

In a similar fashion to a lot of the other commenters here, I’ve been a ride or die fan of the creator for almost 10 years. I felt she got an absurd amount of hate and I defended her whenever possible. To hear all of this now…just wow. I’m heartsick for you and for the person she’s become. Honestly I am disgusted at the creator who walked all over you and your branding. It leaves a really foul taste and its not something we as your followers will forget. It sucks. I was a follower of both of you but I just can't support her in good faith knowing the full picture. But I am so truly happy and excited for the future! I have followed this creator since I was 14 years old. I’m 25 now.. I was a loyal supporter through all her challenges with her businesses etc. but once I found out about this, I immediately unsubscribed and unfollowed her. This is not okay. I’m not going to say any hateful things towards her. But let me just say, the amount of maturity, and grace you’ve had while handling this is amazing. It doesn’t go unnoticed! I've been following your Koze journey from the start, I remember watching your videos with my coffee and breakfast every morning in 2017 before my university classes. I've always appreciated how much free content you've always had. I've never been a member but I've been watching for years, even before I actually subscribed to the channel. A lot of creators, when they get bigger/more exposure, remove free products and turn everything into a business.

Those who commented saying "this will attract to your content because you're in drama" sadly are in the same mindset that creator is, where drama is essential to create engagement and to keep up they need to do more and more.
I'm sorry you have to rebrand and build it all again, but the difference between you and that creator is that you have a following based on your glorious personality, whereas the other creator's followers are there (mostly) for the drama.
