A wonderfully impressive performance! The Conductor and the orchestra fulfilled Brahm's desire for clarity and perfection to his score. How magnificent for the viewers/listeners to be able in this 21st century to, in the comfort of their homes, relax and appreciate a grand concert. Bravo to all!

If you carefully observe the facial expressions and bodily movement of the orchestra you will see they are responding, in concert, to the conductor's preperatory rehearsal technique. They are "with" him and abiding to his spiritual interplay to Maestro Brahm's magnificent symphony as he feels it.. Let us all be thankful for our ability to view and listen to great music which we'd never have had access to had it not been for RUclips. I feel so blessed!

I am thrilled with this performance! The orchestra is magnificent and the conductor grand! Brahms would have been most happy that his Love conveyed through the musical score was so gloriously performed.

Brahms is my most favorite composer. I truly appreciate RUclips and their contribution to music lovers worldwide by presenting conductors, orchestras, ensembles and soloists to those of us accessing these magnificent performances free of charge! It is one thing to criticize and another to condemn. Love Bernstein, Gershwin, Prokiev, Debussy, Ravel, et al....most importantly, love your ability to access your favorites via the internet and RUclips!

People who disliked this performance are ignorant to the beauty of real music.

We all make mistakes. The conductor brings it together so well. Love this performance.. it is like a romance. Brahms reached out to all who wanted to hear his parody of life.

@20062013 It is amazing the sound that can be made by rubbing horses' hair over a cat's gut.I salute Johannes for this masterpiece.

Should add that since 2008, the orchestra has changed its name to Philharmonic Orchestra of Europe.

Although I prefer Brahms with a full orchestra, this is nevertheless a very fine performance

Shit! Could they have any more microphones hovering above them?
Gorgeous playing! That transition from 1:16-1:22...Ahh...

Is it just my imagination or does that second theme (2:23) sound like this composer's famous Lullabye? Maybe the two compositions were running concurrently in his head--this happens in the mysterious world of composing.

That Cello player (the male with the blonde hair and goatee) is immensely hot, and when he plays he gets even more attractive.

I, one time, clicked on "dislike" by accident, and, every time since have been very careful choosing "like" instead of "dislike". When one condemns the performance due to your dislike of the facial animations of the conductor instead of the magnificence of the orchestral performance must consider the "why" of your viewing this particular orchestra and conductor. Love this performance or not the histrionics of the conductor's expressions vary not. Listen and Love or go elsewhere for your music.

so here is fool # 2, man. The orchestras is crtainly good, but the version is as stiff as the conductor
