This is possibly the most beautiful guitar I’ve seen
you better believe it is! im just in the process of ordering mine one day.
After watching his demos on the acoustics, semi hollows, lp and this beautiful gem, one thing is very clear, the demo dude is a beast on guitar!
+Michael Morada so true.
+Michael Morada jem* (:
***** shhhhhhhh.....
not really.. pretty tasteless playing
@@sirspongadoodle tf would you know about tasteful playing if you havent seen him play in the other video. As for the playing here, hes demonstrated great metal/prog playing on the guitar. Not every demo needs to be 3 minutes of strumming a G chords followed by 2 minutes of bending the B string on the 15th fret
just bc that move at 2:36 Im buying this guitar
Iron man re calibrating his suit
why does the guitar do that
@@BFHPET floyd rose bridge.
My guitar teacher had this guitar it was fantastic to play
I've played this guitar at Guitar Center and my first impression was god damn it was touchy. In a good way because I was playing kind of a crunch tone and the Dynamics were unlike anything else. Lightly playing was very precise but if I plucked hard, it screamed and could really really actuate the harmonics. Sonically it was awesome. I should have pulled out a loan for it cause I've never found another guitar like that one. Definitely going to be my next guitar.
finally a guitar review with no blues licks!
Amem.
No stairway.
Well thats some killer playing, caught me off guard. Nice guitar too.
That guitar will be my next girlfriend.
itll probably cost less than a real one. and it doesn't get fatter after a while either

You still single bro?
It's mh wife
Awesome 👏 I wanna say it’s awesome to hear a such a great guitar hero like Steve Vai himself looks awesome
My absolute favorite guitar, its a shame i can only afford to play one as long as im inside guitar center lol
Have you had any luck obtaining one since? I know what you're feeling bro that used to be me whenever I went with my dad to get his guitar tuned
This guitar is just my dream
What a wonderful instrument, I will try to get it!
I watched online for almost a year DAILY and pulled the trigger on a used one for a OK price. It is my last and only guitar EVER. ( I don't have it yet, there are storms where it is coming from now. Also, I don't plan on playing Vai tunes on it, I"m going to be myself. Somewhere I saw someone mentioned that this axe is the Les Paul of the now. -I get it.
i have this guitar made in 2004. it sounds great for heavy metal
This is my dream guitat
nice playing Brian, and nice guitar!!
Great video and guitar
but the bridge is original Edge not Edge pro
Nice video!
But rosewood fingerboard looks not good, I like the old edition with ebony fingerboard...
Insane Skills shimmering through
Damn Brian you should probably take a DNA test cause you just might be the love child of Steve Vai and John Petrucci.
alien love secrets right? ;)
Why did they change the Fingerboard:
1993-2003: Ebony
2004-2011: Rosewood
I think ebony is much smoother
Any thoughts?
+Jack Dry Oh that's to bad, I live in Honduras and exotic woods are been exported for luxury cars here to germany, italy and such. Maybe Ibanez should come down and take a look. They sure would be better spent on guitars than $100,000 dollar cars.
+Nelson Nelson They also changed bridges, when the bridges all cost them virtually the exact same amount of money.
I also noticed strings seem brighter for a longer time and smoother(cleaner)...and fingerboard less harsh than rosewood
Nelson Nelson They could switch back to Ebony because of the whole rosewood and CITES-thing
they should definitely move back to ebony due to the rosewood CITES thing.
Happy new year folks

Beautiful guitar🎸🎸
Is that good guitar?
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE CHORDS FOR 2:09 Bro they r so nice 😩 like just the first 3 chords
Ibanez jem v7 ❤️🔥👌
good guita love them
i saw the jem and that was all i cared about
Damn you're really good
Awesome!!
is that made in Japan like the old Prestige model (with the last 4 scalloped frets)?
Yes those last 4 are scalloped
Does anyone could explain me why does it come now with a gig bag only!? Some cheaper ibanez guitars come with a case!!
That isn't the Edge pro, it's the original Edge.
i've tried playing an ibanez before. i forget what model it was, but i know it wasn't a jem. anyway, i'm sure i would have gotten a great sound out of it. but the thing was the neck was too wide for me to properly play. i mean it felt about 2 centimeters wider than a regular neck.
Check out some older 540R or RT Ibanez's with the Viper neck profile, or even the JS line of guitars. Those necks are more in line with a vintage-esque feel and width. Mind you, don't expect something like a 58 Les Paul sorta neck with an ibanez, it's still gonna be fairly wide and thin, but not to the extent of an RG.
you just have tiny hands
Each test of any electric guitar should be made without effects, especially ovedrive, boosters, fuzz etc; only using clean sound to compare with other guitars. Then we can add overdrive. I don't know is it sound of Ibanez or overdrive?
I think it's funny when people act like the trem bar is hot or like they want to mess with it but they aren't supposed to
yeah, noticed that too...what was really strange abouti that was ...he can play.
idk what to do should I sell my core prs custom 24 to get this jem I live my prs to death but this jem looks amazing
the prs will be more versatile but will do 85% of what the jem will do. it depends how much you want that 15%
Cletus McCbadandboujee id sell your custom 24 and get a custom 24 Floyd. Remember you can choose neck profile and material on PRS. You can also choose ebony, rosewood, or maple fretboards as well. The Jem on the other hand is one way only.
What happened at 2:38?
These guitars are actually pretty affordable!
Original Edge, not Edge pro.
Why's no one talking about his playing
why do people always say "why is no one talking about" and then list the one thing that half the comments are about
Tastiera in palissandro ? Non è in ebano ?
Great guitar but 3000€ is just too expensive you can get almost the same quality prestige for half of the price.
I think the same... Though I think Ibanez is one of the most serious brand in the world : you got always a good guitar whatever the price you paid.
You think you can but you can't. Don't be so cheap; you'll miss out on stuff
Three grand and no locking tuners! I play a Parker Super Fly composite, hand made weighs 5.2 lbs and locking tuners to the ace his own!
it's only 800 dollars over here
@@davidmaynard398 locking nut, almost no one puts locking tuners after a locking nut.
So it’s good for clean and distortion channels?
JEM7 and no 7th string? That 4/5
What is the reason for the hole on Steve Vai's guitars?
Does it have a purpose?
...it helps for swinging the guitar around on stage too! ;-)
I’m looking for a guitar the copy’s grandson style of sound any suggestions?
Isn't that the Original Edge bridge rather than Edge Pro as you said? I think so.
+jack1981 You are very right. I'm getting one with an Edge Pro soon... wouldn't mind the original edge, but it'll be one heaven of a guitar!
Jordan J Oh yeah :) Having a JEM would be so cool :) And I prefer Edge Original with that raw, classic and square-ish look. Well I have an RG570 year 1991 with Original Edge though.
+jack1981 Yeah. What I like about the Edge and Lo Pro is that to me, they feel heavier than the Edge Zero, which is what my RG has. I don't know, they just feel really nice. And dude, everyone loves the 570! A classic Ibanez.
👌
Nossa meu sonho te pelomenos uma réplica eu tinha uma strinberg egs216 toquei fogo nela
came here for a guitar demo, not sure what just happened, everything is smoking and I can't feel my face.
How long does it usually take mf to process an order?
I dont why they changed it.
Hum Ro, perhaps for a change !
This guitar was only famous because of Steve vai and the Floyd Rose Bridge, Oribble Tiber, prefer a fender Telecaster with Seymour Duncan pickups.
would look so much better with a ebony fretboard.
I mean look. I would 100% buy this guitar if it didn't look so... fragile? I mean it's a 3 grand guitar and everything about it looks so delicate and skinny and sharp, like any bump will break something.
Someone correct me here if I'm wrong please, I would love to be. I want a guitar that I know will last like 50 years. Like a good Les Paul.
My one came in. Cost me 4600$aud. Its solid as a rock and the construction is wonderful. It is a floyd r so it will be a huge pain to tune and intonate and change tunings to suit your playstyles. But it is a very well made guitar.
Kerem Karaoglu Well the headstock feels fragile, specially since not only does it have the truss rod adjustment there but also you have the two holes in the backside for the locking nut. Very, very little wood in that area, worst than a gibson. Isn't that so?
@@waltz9230 Well it feels solid to me. I have a JEM 7vH and a JS2480. I prefer the JEM anyday and the JS is a great piece of art.
I found one of these on guitar center for $600
With skill like that why is it so hard to set the perfect distortion tone? 🤦🏻♂️ i know that guitar sounds better than that
I don't know man, that tone sounds perfect to me.. This is proof that tone is subjective
It doesn't sound good for riffing. Maybe it's the alder body.
Where is this guitar made?
there made in japan with beautiful craftsmanship.

The random dude who demos guitars on RUclips:
suena fatal...
sounds like a homeless rat jumping on it
Overpriced piece of shit. I owned one and sold it. S series is better, and cheaper. Guitar looks pretty but all Ibanez guitars sound exactly like this !
I've got S Series, eGen, JS & Jems. They're all very cool guitars. I never thought I wanted or liked the Jem - until I tried one. The Jem definitely has something extra special about it. For me, anyway. It's been my 'go to' guitar for years now. I can't recommend it highly enough!
thats a fake jem
The 7V is the proper Jem from Japan that Steve plays the JR is the fake
how do you know it was fake?
That was one awful demo. Beautiful guitar, but the playing was complete rubbish.
