- Highlights from stage 9 of the Tour de France 2023. The iconic Puy de Dôme returns to the Tour de France for the first time in 35 years. Starting in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, the stage is 182.4km long with 3,611m of climbing. The final climb up Puy de Dôme (13.3km at 7.7%) is very narrow and devilishly steep, averaging almost 12% for the final 4km.

He pronounces every name perfectly, in the correct accent of the origin. Be it Dutch, Danish etc always the correct pronunciation for every name. Impressive

Names are usually pronounced using the accent of the person speaking, not the accent of the people to which the name is attached or relates.
For example if an English person is talking about Glasgow, they probably wouldn't put on Glaswegian accent to say the word "Glasgow"
When you are referring to your American cousins, do you put on an American accent when you say their names? If you don't, then I don't know why the presenter puts on a Danish accent when he speaks the name of someone from Denmark

TJV controlled the peloton throughout to make sure GC contenders don't take any bonus points away from Ving by allowing breakaways to get far far away.

did the puy de dome climb on climb portal the day before TdF, first 60% or so of the distance is medium but then it kicks in for the final 40%.

Maybe it's just me but I expected a lot more from this stage....not the first breakaway of the day being given 15 minutes....that's not what I wanted to see with a legendary finish like Puy de Dome...
9th stage without rest day with really hard days as starting the race. Everyone is tired and wanted the rest day.
