I'm out of hospital after only 6wks... walking and functional in life but still have weird sensory deficits. I can control my muscles by telling them what to do but don't get feedback about what my muscles are doing. I can feel heat, cold, texture, pinprick, light touch, firm touch but not flexing muscles, joint movement, or where my hand and foot are. A prof yesterday said in 20yrs he hadn't seen a case like mine... esp th part about having no good reason for the original stroke
+Christopher Michaels...your story touched me and am hoping that you've continued to progress in your healing. Just wanted to suggest finding an experienced Occupational Therapist who specializes in neurological and sensory integration (brushing program, 'Mind/Neurological Brain Games,...). Best wishes!
Thank you I've been well looked after... my recovery was going well until I had epileptic fits at new year which pity me back by 6 mons but have been getting ba cm know pretty quick

I discovered this song one day while working in my yard listing to the radio it was what made me buy his album the sound of sunshine one song so positive so powerful I was hooked on mike Franti and what he was to who he is now it's a joy to hear his music and his message it's that thing we need to hear and that thing we need to do to stop the hate and bring about change for the better of mankind
And it starts with one man long ago one man was Jesus and he had the same message through lack of tradition we are wayward we're violence and tortured souls are the norm and we're it should all start at home to learn to love and to believe

I will always cherish memory of meeting Mr Franti in Dallas on Sept 30th and introducing Michael Franti & Spearhead on stage; he and I have ALOT in common; both reunited adoptees, lost parents in our 30s, our parents were all teachers, appendicitis, & so much more; but most of all LOVE for people!

Dude's songs always make me smile.....that'a a gift....
First saw them when they were opening for Ziggy Marley about 8 years ago. They were great then and I'm glad to see the success they have gained since them. If you haven't seen them in concert I would highly recommend it! They are the first opening band I have seen that had an encore demanded from them.
He and Ziggy toured together a few years ago, and took turns opening for each other. His concerts have small children and you just don't see that very often. But they're so warm, loving, and joyous, it's worth going every single year. I haven't missed his concert in about 7 years.

He rocked Rogers Arena in Vancouver B.C. just a couple hours ago,GREAT SHOW,opened for Santana
She told me she couldn't listen to Franti anymore... that it was the music of us. I didn't ever think of it that way. There I was two days later a hundred feet from the man as he sang songs that played as we fell in love. The tears welled up as her words echoed in my head. I had to leave.mid performance. Later I found my family of new friends one by one in a crowd of thousands. We sang and danced to music of joy, peace and love. For the first time in a long time, I smiled with my heart.
I met him in Portland and again in Bend, Oregon. Great guy and always barefoot!
