The Jacksons began producing independently before Michael began collaborating with Quincy Jones. And even then their work was replete with innovative moves. By the way, Quincy Jones almost killed such Michael calling cards as “Beat It” and “Billie Jean”, calling them weak. To be honest, this looks rather strange given the fact that the album "Off The Wall" included a really (in my opinion) weak song "Girlfriend", written by Paul McCartney. (The inclusion of this song on the disc has only one reasonable explanation for me... it was a special move designed for a white audience who went crazy at the mention of the Beatles) . As he himself recalls: “I prayed that this album would sell at least a little worse...” When Thriller's circulation exceeded all conceivable and inconceivable limits, Quincy Jones suffered a nervous breakdown. Due to the fact that Quincy from time to time tried to pull the blanket of overall success onto himself (and due to the fact that Michael could not forgive him for the stories of trying to exclude Beat It and Billie Jean from the final set of tracks on the album), this successful creative the tandem eventually broke up. Without Michael, his voice, his dance, his songs... there would not be such success! Billie Jean's demos (made by Michael himself) are very similar to the end result! Quincy just brought this thing to its final point. It was not only the music that gave rise to the wild popularity of the album, but rather a combination of different factors. The thriller was the result of several talented people meeting each other! (and nothing else!) (Rod Temperton, by the way (who for some reason everyone successfully forgets about) is a very talented author... and without his songs the Thriller wouldn’t be the same either ;) ) Livejournal

Good job
