Ps. I was 20 yrs when I travelled alone for the first time. From Stockholm to Sydney. Got stuck 17 hours in Bangkok bc the flight was late and the connected flight had left. I was so nervous! No cellphones then. I could call 1 person for free so I called my homstay mom. My parents got really worried lol! Well, I got to Sydney... eventually 😂 Had the time of my life! Ds.
Hi Patricia! Thank you for the beautiful content as always! I’d love a “how to pack light” video, I’m def working on it but still find it tricky especially for longer trips where I need to pack for varying types of occasions.
Thank you very much 🌟 more travelling light tips would be so helpful and for travelling within home country too. Also for different weather scenarios. Thank you 🌟 ❤I love your channel and get very excited when you post something new 😊😊
My tip would be to check out local laundry options before you go. I've just come back from Bali and had most of my capsule of clothes washed and ironed for a couple of quid part way through the holiday. Saved me a lot of packing space!
For the first time, I travelled for 3 weeks only with a carry on (I chose one with the maximum size allowed on most regular airlines) and a small backpack that fits under the front seat (also allowed)It worked perfectly. I chose 2 colors (black and grey) and clothes in coton and merino wool which you don't need to wash too often. As it was winter, I relied on layering to stay warm if it got too cold but was able to wear less if the weather was ok...and yes I used the light puffer jacket and vest from Uniqlo, not a big bulky coat.
@user-sn6fe7qn6w Just asking whether you had any difficulties hoisting your carry on case up into the luggage compartments? And what weight allowance you were packing for? Also, did it fit okay on every flight? Thank you 😊
@@comealongcomealong4480 no problem with the weight of my carry on, more problem finding space in the overhead bin as everyone is travelling with carry on!!! the flight attendants have a closet at the front of the plane for people who could not find space. I travelled only regular airlines so there was no check on weight but I think low cost airlines have limits and you should check...
I’ve done solo, group and with a friend, each one has its pluses and minuses but I like going solo, I get to do what I want when I want. Thanks for the great tips, Dubrovnik looks beautiful. I’m going to India in two days! (Group, lol)
I generally travel light but after a long trip in 2019 when I wore 1/2 of what I'd brought, I pared it down even more and now my travel capsule is about 12 pieces max no matter how long I'm traveling - 2 bottoms, 5 tops, sometimes 1 dress (all lightweight & easy to wash/dry in hotel rooms), 1 walking shoe that can go to dinner, 1 sparkly flip flop for the hotel that's also possible to dress up, 1 sweater, 1 packable raincoat. Omigosh I love packing and watching packing videos and talking about packing - yes please do a packing video soon! 😂And I love the advice to not over-plan your trips, I've always jam-packed my itineraries but the best memories are the things that happen unexpectedly. 😊
plan light: me & my other half will have 1 (maybe 2) goals per day. that 2nd one might be a dinner reservation. plenty of room to explore & take your time, but enough structure to check off the must-sees. pack light: weather permitting, we share a carry-on!
I love your travel content, especially nature shots, and how you play with light and pattern (if that makes sense). Our first baby is due any day now so we'll be travelling less this year (I expect?) and I'd say no solo travel, so I will be living vicariously through you to get my exploring vibes :) It will be fun trying out our first trip with baba though! We think it will be in May to Scotland (I'm in mid-UK) so not too long to drive, and staying with friends. Looking forward to seeing how different life, and travel, is with our bubs :)
