Nice ive been wondering about this mod... i have a question on the steering effort after this mod... does it make it really hard to turn when manuevering in parking lots or from dead stop?
yes. i have an E30 that never had power steering from factory. it's difficult when you're stopped or going VERY slow, once you get speed it's not bad at all and feels much more direct and i love it. drove no power steering for a week and going to my daily with electric power steering afterward felt terrible. i do drift so i am debating putting power steering back in
I’m in the middle of installing it and I’m at the point where I need to bleed the rack but I forgot what the bleeder screw is so I don’t know what tool to use? It is an allen or torx bit?
Just remember guys if your BMW has a n42 or n46 engine your power steering pump drives your water pump so without a bit of engineering you are unfortunately stuck with power steering.
Couldn’t a person swap in a non-powered rack a from a Z4 too? I know it costs more money but isn’t this an option?
Yes. That is also a possible solution. We run that on our beams swapped e30!

Well turn your keys to first position to disable steering wheel lock and try to move your steering wheel without engine running. There's your answer

@@FinalDenial yeah. not bad at all, just takes some more effort. makes drive thrus interesting
@@Bemaritohtori harder like that because of back pressure this kit makes air flow from one to another

It is a 3/32 allen 👍

i was wondering if anyone knew the correct belt for the 330ci needed?
Based on a customer's recommendation, the belt # is 550K6, 6PK1390 or Gates Racing K060547RPM.
