On a winter bushcraft camping trip in deep snow we build an all natural cozy and warm primitive shelter and stay overnight. We use a Musk-Ox fur blanket to help keep us warm and do some campfire cooking of steak on a stick, hotdogs and chaga tea. It was an awesome time out. This video is no talking asmr style. This outing I am with Heather and our Dog Bella

@@TedBairdShorts i just enjoy you 3 :) Stay Safe :)
Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)
Thanks Roger
Good 👍 👍 👍
Wow that's pretty crazy. Tigers mean business and unlike most bears must eat only meat and don't hibernate. Are you from Russia?
Une petite hache est très pratique pour couper les arbres et les branches ... 😊😉.
Yes
i like the dog

Well done video of shelter building, the wet sticky was a plus big time
Thanks Fran yes it was and then it froze overnight and everything firmed up nice and solid
Very good video. One of the biggest and best survival shelters I've watched yet. Big enough for 2 AND the dog. Enough boughs on the roof to keep heat down. Very nice.
Thank you

Good New Year to you and Heather Mr. Baird. I was under the weather recently and needed to binge watch something interesting and entertaining. Alone season 4 popped up and my opinion, the best scene is as you were feeling grateful for the bounty of fish Jim caught earlier and the teal just offered itself up! It was definitely 'the sign' ✌
Happy new year! That's pretty cool. It definitely felt like a sign for sure I always say never before and never again will something like that happen was pretty amazing.
the snow is really thick
Yes
The furry family member found his spot asap.

Happy New Year to you! I see you using a blacked out, drop point knife. My EDC looks familiar to yours. Another great video! Thanks

Happy New Years. Great video once again Ted. All the best to you and your family. Keep up the awesome work. Bella is incredible, what an awesome creature
Happy new year! Will do. I agree Bella is incredible 🐕😄 all the best
Awesome vid! Question, not judgement....... How do you decide if its ok to cut down live boughs vs going without?
Thanks. A bunch of factors go into it. 1. Any Local Rules or Laws or private property must be understood and followed etc, 2. The individual Tree and it's specific situation and species. It is easy to remove boughs properly without effecting the life span of the tree when done properly. 3. The location, even if local laws and rules permit it when not on private property it is not good practice to hack apart any established campsite or well traveled area for a few reasons, it's ugly and ruins it for other groups and is not sustainable for many groups to do unless one travels away from the site to access them but that is very specific to the individual situation. Boughs are more work but better in Many situations IMO but there are definitely other ways to go without. There are more things when deciding but these are all important things to consider

Happy New year 🎉 🍾
Ted, is that your Holtzman’s Gorilla survival knife?
I bought one a couple of years ago and it’s still going strong.
Yes it is. Glad to hear that!
Happy new year Ted! On this one you’re not ( alone ) !! Ok I’ll ask, about the knife. Brand and kind of steel. Holds an edge very well.
Thanks Dave happy new year 🎉. It's 1095 by Holtzmans Gorilla survival. They have the same one un D2 also
Always wanted to know whose land do you bushcraft guys use ?
We use Regeneld Davidson Cruthers land born in 1948 to Betty and Haris Cruthers. Brother to Susan Cruthers and Donald Cruthers and husband to Broomhilda Betty-Ann Cruthers, Maden name Broomhilda Betty-Ann McDougal. The address is 158 McDougal Way in Cashmire Nova Scotia and it is a 1/4 acre plot.
Bence kampınız olmadı.. soğuktan donmuşsunuzdur
🥶🏕
What is the temperature where you are working?
Was warm about 0°c or 32f a light drizzle had made the snow wet and was easy to pack. As the day went onnand overnight the temperature dropped to about -6°c and everything firmed up and froze solid
🤝🏻🐕🦺🌲😀👍🏻☃️🌲🧑🎄

Where are you located in Canada?
