The showrunners had the guts to take 4 kids with no TV experience and make them co-leads in an established show - and all 4 of those young actors were phenomenal this season. A tip of the hat to the their acting coach, the late Robert Chew of Baltimore (AKA "Prop Joe")
I believe that Namond and Randy had a little bit of TV experience, but nothing really too major. But, agreed definitely took a big risk this season and they all pulled it off masterfully.
Please tell Pat to shut up! Michael had nothing to do with the Barksdsle crew, absolutely nothing. He didn't take Marlo's money because he's an independent thinking human being! He never sold drugs in his 13 years!!!
Every take he says the rest is like "uh, no" lmaooo. Like comment that I read in another video, "Pat the type of guy that likes Fight Club for all the wrong reasons"
@@HeyFrank That, and Pat has been acting like a "poser" throughout this whole shows runtime. @@Siegmeyer. Exactly. Pat immediately called Avon a snitch for dropping Stringer and everyone else agreed with him on that idea, glorifying Stringer's... Namond is spoiled, but only materially. It means he's in a better position than most of his friends, but nonetheless he still has his troubles. De'Londa is a terrible mother and it shows.
I love this season and 5 for the fact that it basically tells us or highlights how many of the older characters in the game you see like omar, bubbles or avon come to be by showing us the journey of the corner kids
The ironic thing about Namond is that financially he's the most well off out of his friends, but he's arguably the one under the most pressure as you guys will soon see. Also if you pay close attention to how Namond subtly acts at the gym during the situation with Michael and Justin and Spider it shows a lot about him as did the previous episode. Great reaction guys!
For Marketas question, shes keeping Namond in the streets because hes making more money selling drugs than he would doing "real work" whichs keeps her from having to work
I hope the members of the Normies realize why The Wire is the greatest show ever made. The main character in the show is not any one character but instead it is the City of Baltimore and other cities like it. That's why they focus in Drug Game, How the Drugs come into the ports with other smuggled items, with how you of you don't focus on the root cause a more ruthless younger drug dealer comes along, about how the school system fails kids about how the local politicians and police are corrupt and are more focused on making themselves look good to stay in office than fixing problems and the final season which focuses on something else.
Namond: “I’ll take any nigga’s money if he just giving it away!” Clay Davis, not 10 minutes later: “I’ll take any motherfucker’s money if he just giving it away!” Absolutely brilliant parallels.
I have seen this show several times and have no memory of this. Apparently their relationship was never addressed on the show itself, but David Simon did confirm Cheese to be his biological father.
@@williamroper5422 It's only referenced in a scene that shows Randy's personal information. It's throw away detail. It's meant to show that Randy is in such a screwed up situation, despite his father being a extremely well off gangster. Randy is just another kid in the hood with a dead beat father. They have no interactions because neither the father or the son know their relations to each other. Cheese must have had kids with a bunch of women during his time and never took a second to winder who he knocked up, IF he did. Randy could have easily been living the pampered life of Namond, if cheese had known or cared about any of the women he slept with.
You guys missed a lot of easter eggs. Who told Valchek about the witness getting killed? The police officer who caught the case was an actual police officer in Baltimore. Royce didn't know about the witness killing, he was blindsided by Carcetti; that's why his answer was not prepared but that tells you a lot about those debates. You can't have original responses; your opponent can literally claim to have written you a letter and there's no way you can defend that in that debate setting because it's a completely terrible argument (false equivalency) to begin with. You can argue it. Carcetti was using that. Randy said his family name when he was robbed by Walker. You should go back and see who has that name. He has a foster mom but who is his dad? Who's career was like Herc's?
y'all remember (i don't think this is applicable to the normies, but chris talking about his first day fits triggered me) when they started making uniforms mandatory at damn near every public elementary and middle school? that was so sad. 😭
Man I definitely could care less if I gotta sit in front of a girl parents, but I’m not about to sit there, and watch you do homework I could’ve stayed at my house if that was what you called me over here for because if I come over we either going out, or staying in yo watch a movie hell your parents can watch with us care🤷🏾♂️
Between season 3 and 4 there was supposed to be a short season of 6 episodes just about the election, but HBO didn't want to make it, so the election was folded into season 4.
It’s not as simple as “they don’t have morals” the mom (she’s terrible) knows that this path is easiest for her son to have influence and money. It’s shitty but that’s a fact of their life. They can’t just pop over to college become a doctor and live lavishly. Things aren’t set us that way in that community.
