Just getting started on stepper motors (literally, tonight is the first time I've ever attempted to understand them). I've watched several videos about driver chips and all kinds of stuff, but still didn't understand what those chips are doing. Then this video. Perfect! Simple! Thank you!
This is one of the most important videos on bipolar motors! Thank you very much. 01:23 At this point, I connect a LED and spin the shaft of the motor to determine which ones are couples.
This was great. I'm trying to understand how my Jeep's idle air control valve works, and the wiring diagrams don't make it at all clear. But now I understand!!
i completed a board with 8 npn 3904 transistors. It takes 16 resistors. approximately 100,000 ohms each base to ground. 5000 ohms each base to a switch. 4 switches. I wired all 8 transistors to the board with holes backwards. 2 transistors were wired to both motor rails. I made the corrections and it works. press the switch order as 1 3 2 4. these small transistors hold up.
Hi have a question. I have a 4 Wire stepping motor Pink and Blue are one winding Orange and Yellow are the other winding. The motor is controlled by a driver but it's turning in the wrong direction, which wires do I need to switch to change the direction of the stepping motor? This Stepping motor controls the throttle on a "Smart Power Generator" instead of keeping the engine at idle it's going the wrong way and raving it up. i don't wanna fry anything so your wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
Good video thanks. Is it possible to have a bipolar type were constantly changing the polarity on a single winding will cause rotation one way and then doing the same on the other winding causes the motor to rotate the other way? The reason I ask is that I have a 4 pin stepper motor that does exactly this? Which is slightly different to your video.
nice explanation, but I have 1 doubt at resonant speed the motor will not step due to low torque, is controller handles that condition or we can handle that in software ??
Also anybody can tell me how to identify the working voltage of stepper motor in cd/dvd drives or any stepper motor using some simple testing as shown in the above video.. THanks

Found this channel yesterday. Great !!
What a great video, Simple to understand and to the point, did need words , thank you.
Just getting into this stuff. Love the simple, easy to understand method you use here. Thanks.

Ya
this changed my life on trying to trouble shoot the stepper motor on my champion generator... thank you
Great video, concise and helpful, thank you!

This legitimately had what I needed, thanks fam
this is exactly what i was looking for, i was having the same problem of the motor just rocking back and forth in the same place
Thanks for the demo. Well explained.
Great Video . straight to the point .
A good short video with lot of helpful information thanks helped me a lot. Plz continue providing more on this kind of topics
great tutorial, thank you so much!
Awesome video, thanks!
와~~~~ 감사 합니다도움이 많이 되었습니다.
very nice tutorial, i appreciate your work. thanks
Love from India ❤️❤️
Woooww thank you for creating this video... VERY USEFULL! thanks
My motor is doing just that: Back/forth - Back/forth.... Now I know where to look - Thanks!
Thank you so MUCH for this video ...
a lot of help. thanks
Thank you, it helps me a lot
Well done. Thank you
Thank you very much its very important information
Yeah, you get A+ for your video
very good thanks
Helpful video!😃 My motor is in my CD drive from old computer
Thank you brother
Very Nice.

Thanks for sharing! I bought a bunch of micro-steppers on Ebay and of course they didn't come with any instructions.
Thank you!
Awesome!!!
thanks a lot :)
i have a 6 wire stepper motor
do i apply the same basic logic as here?

Terimakasih demonya, jadi pinter deh saya walau bingung bahasa eglish

thanks !
thank you
great very interesting
Driving the motor with a 9V battery... genius!

what's current rate that approved to dvd stepper motor?
what will be the rotation angle of this stepper motor?
thanks
If it wren't for videos like yours, we would still be locked in books.
Practical explanation helps, Books not so much.

how to connect to cnc shield?
Thank you. It seems that I have a bad stepper motor.
👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
i guess it needs 2 pnp transistors and 2 npn transistors.
