- Capacity testing a DIY Lithium-ion battery with a BMS was a great idea till it wasn't (the wasn't part was a day or less after I started :P) Anyways enjoy and TLDR - it didn't even come close to working.. but now I hope no one else will try such a stupid idea

Yeh, using click bate just wouldn't have worked - figured get to it and if it gets views it gets views, Battery hashing video is going well so far after the first 24 hours of testing.. we are much further along in a day then I was after 10 days of this stupid idea :P

Told ya it was a bad video!! BatteryHasing one is 24 hours into filming and the rig is doing it job well - i'm shocked how stable it is after so long turned off..

Thanks for an interesting vid! Why do you think there was such a difference per cell - was the balance discharge uneven or an algorithm 'thing' or? Would longmons behave differently (I wonder)?
Personally I would put it down to extra resistance - ie, my solder joints, springs in the fuses, fuses them selves or even the crimps in the balance leads. That's my theory, I did reach out to Batrium & was recommended to try get a reading with a good clamp meter. I won't be looking to far into it, but my curiosity is peeked by stuff like this. I have plans for this battery and it won't be around in a few days as it's off to start its life as a UPS for a workshed in the middle of nowhere.
I have little over 100 of these batteries from past ebikes I have had. I want to make an electric generator to run my Tv and a DVD Player for a few hours when the power goes out. do you have a video on your profile that explains how to make something like this? I started to disassemble the battery packs I have I want to buy 1 of those cell holders. How many batteries do you think i need to say run a 65-inch tv for roughly 4 hours? if 65 inch is too big i can just use one of my smaller TVs for when the power goes out. Or even just use the generator for camping or something want to make it portable.

The Batrium would have brought every cell to 2.5v as planned. They may have arrived at 2.5 volts at different times - but it would have got their eventually
it would have i'd say but not entirely sure it would have been an accurate KWH result
