@@MrCoolhandluke79 the gas tube on mine was extremely loose and rattled all the time. The M7 action isnt as smooth. The polytech is a true import from a military manufacturing facility. The SASM7 was made in Las Vegas by bubba based on my example. Its a srewed in barrel VS pinned. The only thing I like better about the Arsenal is the folding butt pad locks when folded down.. Arsenal used to be a reputable decent company I had high regards twards. Until they started Kvar. (Witch they claim to have no affiliation with. The AK20 was being made with repurposed receivers in the first place. Those plans got scrapped and they were still left with the same receivers from 2008, like Misha said in the video.
@@misha5670 The one thing we know for sure with the Bulgarian milled imports, is all the major components are definitely Bulgarian made. So it's a known quantity and it's as close as we can legally get to owning something similar to Arsenal's military production line. S A Classic and S A US made rifles look nice but there are just certain unknowns. Maybe some batches of rifles are built on real Bulgarian milled receivers, BCGs and using Bulgarian CHF barrels? Maybe some batches of rifles built on US made receivers with US made barrels depending on what parts Arsenal USA has in stock? There's always rumors and chatter within the AK community. Arsenal USA is sketchy at times. So I er on the side of caution which is factory imports are my default position. I generally don't trust US assembled AKs unless its a custom build from a reputable AK smith. Custom builds are generally well outside of my budget when there are still good factory imports available.
You're pretty good at rhyming. As you might guess, i have little opinion on colours. For what its worth, not my cup of tea either but i figured people would be interested enough for a 10 minute look if nothing else.
I own a few arsenals. The sam7 is by far the nicest. The stamped guns are mediocre and my slr 107cr blew up at 5k rounds. Arsenal wouldn't touch it under warranty cuz I chopped the barrel down right out of the box and did a form 1. That and I bought a 106cr that wouldn't even run till I chopped it. Both cr models were so over gassed they needed it. Dont buy into the hype and pay stupid prices. If you want one buy the milled ones. Because of my experience with them I will never buy another one. At least not a Bulgarian one. Id take a Russian Arsenal if I could get it for a reasonable price. That is where Arsenal got there rep. I lied id probably buy another milled one in 556 if it was under 1k. I know a guy that just bought one. Btw misha I can't prove it but in my opinion all the stamped 107r and 107cr post 2015 stamped aks are parts kits. It doesn't make any sense that mine and several others have had weak trunion metallurgy. Plus if you strip that bs spray paint off you will see the receiver and barrel are parked but the bolt carrier and trunion are not. Keep in mind the 107 series uses a standard type akm bolt and trunion. They also only serialize the trunion and carrier. Makes me wonder if they got parts imported through a loop hole to make more on there bottom dollar by building them here using questionable trunions. I swear something is up dude. Too many fanboys will just write that off but I've been shooting aks for years with lots of rounds on them and never have I seen this kind of wear on any other import ak. Not even on my shitty us made palmetto 103.
What would they be parts kit from? Like what original rifle did they originate from...my slr bulgy rifles are all from 2012 I believe so I can’t speak to post 2015..I haven’t heard of weak metallurgy on the slr series. I’m annoyed with Arsenal/k-var because the bs inner circle membership.I should have been made a member from the amount of $ I spent with them but even after I emailed them still nothing. It makes me not want to give them any more of my $
@@slr7628 all my other stamped arsenals have parked everything from what I can tell. This is what tipped me off. My 106fr runs great and shows none of the same wear my 107cr did before blowing up. The wear wasn't only on the trunion either. The bolt carrier got some unusual wear on the bolt channel as well. I would suspect they are sourcing these parts from a usa mfg or possibly Poland. I know if I compare the parts to my psa they are very similar. Bolt carrier is almost exactly the same. In theory since they use akm size bolt and trunion they could use any old trunion they can find. So my guess is most likely usa. I have no way to prove it. I just know my other arsenals and my buddies 107fr don't show any of this extreme wear. The 107r and 107cr seem to be the only guns with these problems. So that leads me to suspect they aren't built like they use to be at the very least. Stamped Bulgarian Arsenals have always been a bit sloppy but they never had these issues pre 2015.
@@slr7628 and that's another thing that is odd. It only started when the 107r came out. Same batch of trunions in the 107cr with same prefix. Remember when Rob ski tested the 107r? Exactly the same wear in my 107cr before it blew up. Same serial prefix too. But I've also seen newer ones post 2015 that are showing the same thing. Its odd they came out with a fixed stock stamped gun that was cheap and way different than the others as far as parts. Almost like they built them with what ever parts they could scrounge up.
I don’t think it could be usa made trunnion just because at the time of release of 107r the usa made companies were still kinda in start up stage, but when I read your comment I did think of Poland. Their trunnions would look identical to the past bulgy trunnions. It would be interesting to know for sure. I wish I had a 107r just to compare with my oldest slr, the slr107f(no scope mount) to see if I can spot any differences. It is odd that Arsenal Bulgaria doesn’t make stamped guns anymore but yet we get them here. I would love to see a tour of Arsenal Bulgaria to see if they even have the machining to produce stamped aks anymore.it’s confusing because they clearly are making some stuff because they are still pumping out sidefolding assemblys which was always been bulgy or russia. Same with a lot of other parts that only russia or Bulgaria produced. It’s interesting for sure..my newest Arsenal is a sam7sf and the quality is insane. Personally wouldn’t waste my money on one of these, just another arsenal USA gun they found in the back of the warehouse claiming exclusivity to jack the price up, I have no doubt he’ll sell them all because they’re artificially holding the Arsenal market hostage, I mean you’ve got a brand new old stock receiver dated to 08, makes you wonder what else they’re hiding scroll all the way in the back of their warehouse
I want to know just how many of these receivers they have left?
Sometimes I have to ask people do they think these kind of companies go into business to be a charity?
New year, more AKs
Cerakote is not paint...
No those are AK20's! 🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣
Heard Misha mention it later in the video. Those things were d.o.a.
To rich for my blood nice guns but still just an ak.
Your forgetting to mention these rifles are only available to kvar inner circle members only. So if you dont spend alot of money with kvar/arsenal they will not accept you in the inner circle an you can't buy one of these or 40rd waffle mags anything desirable basically.. You can always go to gunbroker though an pay twice as much. Kvar sells to non inercircle buyers there at a absolute premium.. Definitely dosent make me want anything to do with arsenal.. Scum bag sales tactics.. I have a blonde wood sasm7 classic its a poor attempt at replicating a polytech legend..
I have a blonde wood sasm7 classic its a poor attempt at replicating a polytech legend..~Please elaborate on this, I was looking at purchasing an older SAS M7 classic but am not familiar with them, Where/How do they come up short compared to the Polytech? Appreciate any input
We all know thats bullshit) Now there nothing more than sleezeballs that practice scumbag marketing sales tactics. Prove me wrong... Unless you're a inner circle member lol. Even then you obviously have more money than sense..
That brown one is hideous.
And yet? There's a market for it still.
I'd rather have take Bulgarian with spray paint.
Personally? me too
These might be the repurposed AK20 receivers that Arsenal didn't want to waste?
The AK20 was being made with repurposed receivers in the first place. Those plans got scrapped and they were still left with the same receivers from 2008, like Misha said in the video.
They are smoking drugs with their price points. K Var has got to be one of the absolute sleeziest companies.
I think the Bulgarian built rifles are the way to go. Their US made rifles are overpriced and there have been QC issues.
Actually, the QC issues I've heard of have all been with the Bulgarian imports. SLR107R for example? built in Bulgaria/
@@Enjoyer.762 Oh i certainly agree. That was why i sold my SAS Classic years ago and hung onto my SAM7SF & SAM7R.
Looks like the garbage FIME group trigger...
Yep, its the FIME fcg.
Half FDE half black that looks like crap 2300 bucks laughing my ass off for a paint job
@@slr7628 serial prefix it all started with is kt-57##### i even know of 2 others with that prefix that blew up. One a 107cr and 1 was a 107r
I would have picked up a sam5 had I not been butthurt by the “inner circle” bs
WHAT ABOUT ARSENALS SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES? No one wants to address the elephant? Ok cool
Arsenal or KVar?
They are a business, they are working with limited stock and are at the mercy of limited imports. The American market is pocket change compared to their military contracts, we are lucky enough to get them in the first place. Everyone I’ve ever spoken to at k-var has been nothing but pleasant. People need to cool there jets with the hate, if you want a factory import ak there are plenty of options. It’s not like they are holding a gun to peoples heads to buy their products.
