This dries solid as a rock!! Like ur shirt will literally feel like dried up superglue when its hardened to a fabric, has anything else come out in the 7 yrs this videos been around for???
Just for the record: I just purchased Patch Attach today because I decided I wanted to remove novelty patches from a pair of jeans and put them on my "Memory Patch" overalls. Well, removing the patches from the jeans did remove the previous adhesive so I didn't have that "plastic backing." I followed the instructions on the package and my patches appear to be attached pretty good. I then came to You Tube to see if there were any suggestions because my first time through I wasn't too confident in what I had done. This gentleman did everything the instructions said to do except you are not to apply the heat to the patch side. My understanding is the instructions say to "heat setting the glue...heat from the fabric side" which could be the gentleman's cloth cover over the patch. The instructions also recommend you attach the patch and then turn the garment inside-out to iron. That's what I did and then I turned the overalls right side out and ironed over the patch. My overalls look amazing!!
After reading the comments about the Dog tags, I wanted to order, I decided not to order even though mine were lost many decades ago, I do not agree with companies who are profit driven by using cheaper quality product for Veterans. Or got any product that should be the same quality as the original. Wish you could provide the same quality, not just a cheap imitation of such an important product for important people.
Hi Ivan, The label says: Bonds almost any patch to almost any fabric without sewing. Permanent washable non-toxic and the only truly dry cleanable glue for this purpose on the market today. Ideal for school emblems varsity letters and karate military and police patches. I hope this helps.
Comparing 1:01 to 1:15, there is not even the slightest sign of Patch Attach being there. I know, he says it becomes transparent, but you should see the "transparent" liquid there. I really believe that part is made-up honestly!
THIS DOES NOT WORK!! I did everything according to directions and it never dried clear just a powdery and it was longer than 10 minutes, I thought ok I'll try and iron it in place anyway... nope not even partially adhered what a waste of 8.00 !! I was just trying to put on my son's boyscout patches on his uniform I will be returning this to the store
Good morning Kristen, If you purchased the item from VetFriends, we will gladly exchange the bottle or refund your money but we ask that you contact us directly as we will respond quicker than happening upon a review. The bottle states: Bonds almost any patch to almost any fabric without sewing. I'm sorry you had that problem. VetFriends uses Patch Attach regularly to adhere patches to our retail hats. Our owner's son is a Boy Scout. We appreciate their adventurous spirits.
@X-Ray Crystallography That's what the scoring tool is for and the package tells you if there is a plastic backing already on the patch to scrape it off the edges before applying Patch Attach. The package also says that Patch Attach will NOT adhere patches with a plastic backing and that is why you are being told to remove it first. The package gives you directions on how to remove plastic backing and this gentleman demonstrated it withe the scoring tool.
That is what it is supposed to do Wolfman. I think using it on the edges will help with it not curling on the edges. Although the manufacturer gives no guarantee that it will not curl.
@@VetFriends I'm about to buy a patch for a hat , it doesn't have the backing like the patch u have ,but it's a sew on patch, what's the best way to put it on, put glue them sew it on or could I just glue it on?

Why didn't you pull on it or anything to show that the patch won't come off? Because I bought patch attach and it's garbage.
Bruh, Patch Attach works perfectly in a very particular way. We didn't pull at it because, we didn't pull at it, we're not hiding anything.
You reply to someone with "BRUH"? Wow, yup, def not supporting this company.
If you look at the username, his name is literally, "Bruh Johnson".
Vetfriends omg, I’m laughing my ass off.
....anyways will this work for any material? A nylon or canvas backpack maybe?
Thanks.

Great video! Helped me out 😊
Mine isn't good is it because of the glue?

Yep
Not vet friends fault, but this is a horrible product
I had the same experience, it just turned into power, got everywhere and did not glue anything. Unfortunately did not buy from you guys.

will this work on a leather jacket ?
The directions say to avoid using it with leather. I believe it is because of the heat that you will need to activate the Patch Attach.
Trying to locate my JayHawk Patch
does it keep the patch from curling thru repeated washing

The patch attach working for leather or jean jackets?
do you know the answer already? I have the same question..
Jean, yes. Leather, no. Hopefully, you have a jean jacket, Aileen!

Will this work on any material? I have a hole in a pair of uggs. I am not sure the suede/leather would hold up to the heat of the iron.
Jessica, we haven't tried that. Sorry we can't be of more help.
Will it melt if I put it in the dryer?
Nope. Patch Attach does not melt in the dryer.
Hi guys
