I use evo stick impact instant contact adhesive- (red tube )this is the best I’ve found for Velcro to leather , leather to fabric , fabric to fabric , Velcro to Velcro. This glue is able to bend and move and not make the area hard and brittle, great for items that are going to be used and moved, comes in a tin or tube - and the cost is quite cheap , one tip is to apply to an area and then blow air onto it - this stops the glue for being liquid and starts the glue being tacky- stops accidental transfer onto clothing or fingers etc - I used this for years on making and selling patches and I’ve never had a complaint- any over spill let it dry and then pick off as it goes like rubber - - give it a go - your need a well ventilated room as the fumes are strong for a few hours - I leave outside once clamped the cold air hardens it faster , and it’s weather proof rain or water won’t affect it- 🤟🇬🇧
Hi mate.... so it is good for patches to velcro ??? Nice and permanent even if they are the iron on type of patch...also do you apply to both velcro and the patch please ??? Many thanks
Hot melt onto leather works but you must heat it again after applying it to the leather or fabric. It must be almost liquid on both surfaces before putting them together.
whats a good way to repair the velcro adhesive that has lost its stickiness over time? Talking about the female end that usually has sticky adhesive backing that is usually found on helmets
What king of glue is recommended for sew on velcro on vinyl coated polyester, I'm making windows for pop up camper, I have a hard time to find someone with sewing machine
Heavy duty sewing machine and sew around the edges, ir if you're crafty, use a needle, strong thread and your two hands and stitch it on. Or they also make an iron on product that inserts between the patch and hook and is then ironed with heat.
A link to your website in the description would go a long way. Im interested and would click a link but typing that in or googling is far to much effort. :) add your link. awesome content exact info i needed!

Fast simple and straightforward thank you!
i was actually googling the other day to try and find an industrial strength double-sided tape to no avail, love the liquid stitch though, good call
For sure works well especially if you use it with the adhesive Velcro
Better adhesion can be achieved by spreading the glue evenly and putting them in a vice grip or compression device for 24hrs.
Nice info. Thx

You should see my jack russell. I found I tactical military harness and my British dog has UK 🇬🇧 patches on her.
Can you give me more details on the iron-on adhesive? Heat n bond? Was this a fail?
Iron-On was the second best.. it probably will work well if its on a fabric. I didnt try heat and bond.
Perfect video, you da bess
Yeah I tried silicone seal but it stained through the patch - Fail!
Thank you!

I haven’t tested anything like that before try Velcro that has a adhesive already on it from the factory?
@@theproperpatch yes I will try that!
what other alternative is there to adhesives to attach hook onto patch?

What about E6000?
I'm trying it right now to neoprene.
Sticks great to my Velcro tips.
Skip E6000 and go for Shoe Goo. It dries a whole lot faster
Has anyone used an epoxy to see how well that works?

Do you use liquid stich on both parts of the velcro?
Just the back of the Patch
What about glue gun?
Did not work very well was pretty easy to pull it off.
Stitching works better
Goop?
