  • Just a short and sweet video of level sanding, buffing, and reassembling my Jackson Dinky JS32T DKA. This is much better than the matte black that the guitar originally was!
Inspired by the 80's bright yellow Ibanez RG and the Canabilsmo finishes of Solar Guitar.
    Hope you enjoy this video!
    I'm stoked on this paintjob!

As someone who spent the 80s playing guitar and seeing most the Sunset Strip bands, that looks more like a Jackson. Mine is just flip gold/green, wanted nebula but they wouldn't do it on a Kelly when I ordered.

Ohhh a Nebula Kelly would be awesome! I did look at the flip gold/green kelly and it looks good too though! Did you see the Sunset Strip bands on Sunset Strip?!?

@@Tkolbo_ I was still here in Rochester until 88, moved to L.A. 92. In the 80's Roch got a lot of concerts at Mayo Civic. Saw most of those 80's bands here 2 or 3 times. Bon Jovi (not a fan, but I was desperate for decibels so I went) shot Wanted Dead or Alive video here. Many 70's bands played here too. I did see DeMartini and Lynch multiple times on the Strip while in L.A. The best part about living there through the 90s was seeing Vai and Dream Theater 2x each tour from the front row at the House of Blues or the Palace. By the 2000's they were at the big theaters like the Wiltern and what ever sponsor is paying for the one downtown next to the stadium. Of course the X-games were there in the 2000's as well. So I saw Mirra, Bestwick, DMC, Miron, Robinson and Hoffman many times.

@@brianwitter3271 damn I would have killed to see tough as nails Dennis McCoy ride in the x games! Same with Hoffman, Mirra, and Miron. I had a hydromatic Jay Miron signature. I saw the dead or alive video and instantly recognized the civic center. I wish concerts would come through here now

@@Tkolbo_ I took nothing for granted during my 20 years in L.A. I was skating down the beach path one day a saw a bunch of ramps and and wooden bowl. Hadn't heard about anything so I just went over to see what was going on. It was practice for a contest the next day. Saw Nyquist do a bunch of flip tricks off a box jump. Then I wondered over to the bowl. At the top of the stairs I passed Hoffman. I went a got a seat at the edge of the deck and just watched Bestwick and Miron work out their lines for the next day. They were standing right in front of me. I knew these guys weren't like most of us, but being right next to them you really see how strong they are to ride vert at that level. Jay was a short dude but built like a brick house.

@@brianwitter3271 so rad man. Pretty damn jealous. I did work at Woodward for a summer in 2008 do I had my share of being around some insane professional riders but they weren’t the same riders I idolized like Hoffman and Miron. I did meet Bestwick there though and that was awesome to see him ride vert!
