- This one was a toughy to get through! Not only did it take many MANY more days than I intended, but the mental side of decluttering finally broke me. As always please be kind in the comments and understand it takes a bit of bravery to show this vulnerability for me. I'd rather laugh everything off and be my usual sarcastic self, but I thought it was important to show this in case anyone else is feeling the same way. You're not alone!
Thanks for watching! Let me know what you thought in the comments below, and don't forget to subscribe and turn on the notifications bell so you don't miss the next video!

Chin up girl ❤ we've all been there. You're kids are well fed, healthy, loved. You all have roofs over your heads. We all have to remind ourselves how blessed we are. You and Blake are fantastic parents 😊
Thank you, I definitely need to remember that ❤️
The landlord situation sounds terrible!! In most European countries the tenants also have rights and can’t get kicked out just out of nowhere. Sometimes you have to have a breakdown to be able to keep on going also. You’re a fighter, big hugs to you ❤
They would have to give us some notice and a chance to find another place to live, but without a lease we’re just month-to-month. It also means we’re free to leave and move elsewhere with a month’s notice as well. It’s just scary that prices around us have gone up so much we’d have no other options in our area/school district.
@@DormanFamilyCircusOne month is… scary. At least with kids I would never considering just leaving on such a short notice. And moving is expensive even if there is a apartment you want and can pay for.. Do I have the initial pay (normally twice the rent)? Do I have to replace furniture? Do I have helper to renovate the new place within this time? How do the kids get to school? In Germany we have at least three month - and can lower the rent if something won’t be repaired or if there’s mould that doesn’t get fixed. And if you are a longtime tenant you can still quit in three month - but the renter has to give you (depending on how long you lived there) 6 month up to a year if he wants to use the flat himself - he cannot kick you out just because. Of course, there are exceptions if you’re a terrible tenant, hoard, disturb the neighbors, don’t pay your rent for several month… but normally renting feels quite safe here. Of course, depending on the city the prices go up around you, so moving is not always an option. I understand why owning is much more desirable in the USA than here (most people rent here and are okay with it).
I'm like you, I've collected vintage my whole life and have always been a maximalist. I have recently become overwhelmed with all I own. I am selling entire collections and curating my home. With every item that leaves my house I feel lighter. Great job decluttering.
All the extras you mentioned here would be great donations to woman's shelters.
You’re doing absolutely great with your declutter journey and it takes a lot of courage to share everything unfiltered with the world including your little mental breakdown. You’re an amazing person and I am sure you are inspiring many people who are watching your videos.
Hugs to you. I applaud you for leaving the real feelings in. A lot of us struggle with depression, ADHD and sometimes just low moments because we wish we had more options. Thank you for showing us that despite hard moments we can be strong and power thru. You're a rockstar.
Thank you for understanding!
You’ve done a good job on decluttering first then organizing. I agree that less decor in a bathroom is more calming and less to clean.
I completely feel you about being frustrated in your space. It's so hard to believe how much we have to pay for places that haven't been touched in 20, 30, and 40+ years. My apartment was advertised as "luxury" when it's probably as old as yours. You're not alone. ❤
Thank you for leaving that in. So many of us out here are going through similar things. It friggen sucks, so I appreciate you being real about it.
Hang in there. Many of us are going thru frustrations with cost of living and not being able to accomplish what we want. You’re doing a great job with your family. The clutter is just the stuff we deal with . I hope u have a blessed Easter.
So true, it’s hitting everyone right now ❤️
You are doing a great job! From one overwhelmed person to another.
Amazing work! Keep on removing stuff of your house.
It is really worth it.
The less stuff we have, the happier I am!
Your realistic videos are an inspiration! Understand and sympathize 100%. I lived in an apartment where the landlord refused to do anything. I finally said Screw this! I chalk painted all the cabinets in the bathroom and the kitchen. Very little sanding required. Top coated with polyurethane for protection. Made a huge difference! Didn't ask permission. Just did it. I also painted the walls with an eggshell white which made the bathroom look twice the size and clean. A weekend project. Paint was on sale so not expensive. When the Manager saw it he said "looks great!' HA! No pushback whatsoever. You could paint that mirror frame too. Later on I found a bathroom wall cabinet to hang over the toilet. Better than a medicine cabinet because the 2 shelves behind the doors were deeper. Painted it a bright color to match towels and the shower curtain. Took it with me when I moved! Decluttering and cleaning is a lot of work - I hate doing it- but you are reminding me how worth it it really is. Painting makes everything seem NEW. Cheers you up. Like you I was in no position to move and I felt lucky to have an apartment 11 blocks from the beach in Santa Monica. But I was depressed living in that funky old apartment.. So, I came up with affordable solutions. Like the old carpet was disgusting. So I rolled an indoor/outdoor carpet over it. I've watched 3 of your decluttering videos so far and today decided I should stop watching and get off my butt and clear up my own mess. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind words, encouragement and suggestions! I’m not brave enough to paint the wood cabinets, because something in me believes the owners are fond of them and would be really upset if we “ruined” the natural wood. But I am definitely looking into painting the beige walls and maybe using some removable contact paper to brighten things up! Again, I appreciate the words of support! And if you lived in Santa Monica you definitely understand the rent situation haha
Applause your grit and honesty and forging ahead with de-cluttering! Keep going, girl, you can do it. We have just moved from an apartment and storage units to new house (renting) but have needed to de-clutter massive amounts of kitchen wares, dishes, clothes, shoes, decor, collectibles, pictures - all in the last 4 months. However, we aren't done yet - still have to tackle our gigantic hoard of family memorabilia and crafting supplies.... gack. Your de0cluttering journey is helping me cope with mine!
Old English oil would help the look of the cabinet. All that you are doing is what I am doing. I’m by myself now, since my husband passed away. I have so much to clear out and scale down. I do not have that many years and my health is not that good. You have inspired me to get busy. So far about 45 hangers have been emptied.
My experience is that when you let go of something you don’t need anymore and create a void, it will be filled with something better.
I rented for years, but after Kon Mari I now have a new job and I own my own house.
Keep up the great work you are doing!
That’s a very inspiring way to look at it, thank you!
Ask your landlord if you can sand and paint the cupboard in the bathroom. Benjamin Moore has a paint designed specifically for bathrooms (damp spaces).
Love your process and your honesty. Also, ❤ the term ‘neuro spicy’ just perfect to encompass so many of us and our ‘messy’ brains.
Happy Birthday Jamie!🎁❤ You did a wonderful job!😊👏
Fantastic job! Always feels good to get done with all that little stuff.💖 I would paint the inside of those drawers, if not the whole bathroom vanity, with Kilz mold and mildew.
Womens shelters would love those pads.
I’d love to paint them, but I’d be afraid of losing our security deposit as renters.
I would paint them as well. I would paint them in a beige/brown color that is close to the original color, just the inside of the drawer and the sides, not the fronts. I am sure they would not even notice if they ever checked. I did that on some old cabinets I had in my house. I went to Lowes and got one of those small paint sample jars for just a few dolllars. Or just get a pint of paint. Scuffed and stained things make me chringe every time I would open the drawer. Also if painted, your ick factor would be better. The fresh painted surface would be germ free. I can't stained nicks and scratches on light or dark wood. I use a brown or black magic marker to touch up nicks, and Dollar store white out on white. It really makes a difference when you eye is not drawn to a white spot on dark furniture, or a dark spot on wall. I have a beige tile ceramac floor, and I use a beige nail polish (the cheapest I can find) to touch up nicks in the floor. Again, I use a very light touch when applying, and my eye is not drawn to the flaw in the surface. Best of luck to you. I am enjoying your videos.
@@DormanFamilyCircus I think you should ask permission in writing to the landlord if you can paint the cabinet they might even decide to replace it? I would just start asking for 1 thing at a time & not too often but with your rent being raised its ok for them to fix some things. Awesome job it looked so good & you did right by yourself to cancel those subscriptions. Great reminder to the rest of us.
For the pads you can look into donating them to a women's shelter or homeless shelter, I've seen orgs ask for those!
I admire your motivation and positive attitude. Every area you've worked on looks great.
I would sans and paint the bathroom vanity. It will improve your mental health and I don't think the landlord will even know.
Thank you! I appreciate the words of encouragement 😁 It’s a little bit of an unusual situation, we rent from the adult daughters/family of the original owner. He was actually the owner/builder of our whole street of 4-plexes. So they’re much more emotionally invested than a normal landlord. I think they really value all the original wood in the house. The built-in bookshelves, kitchen, and downstairs bathroom are the same way. They’ve had plenty of resources and opportunities to renovate before we moved in, and I’m sure they must know the current trends are way different than the way this looks. All I can figure is they love it the way it is and want it to stay original to way their dad built it. Even though it’s dated and disgusting 😣
Hi. I love the story about Max. What a cutie. So glad you took care of him. 😊
You are doing such a great job. Great video. Keep going ❤
I'm sorting and decluttering right along with you. Did two shelves of 8 small bins today in the linen closet...tossed a ton of stuff. Feels good! Keep up the great work! Every step, progress!
Great job!
with all that you and your family have been through , you are amazing and far stronger than you think, you go girl!!!!!
Thank you for the support! For every bad moment there are 100 good ones. But I think it’s important to show all of it for others struggling
I think you're doing such a great job!! Im sorry that you're feeling so anxious about your whole living/renting situation. All I can say (besides I wish I could come over and help but I live in the Netherlands) is that owning less by decluttering/selling/using things up/donating and not buying any more, is so liberating and it helped me feel less stressed about potential moves. Also, i feel like investing a little bit in pimping your bathroom is an absolute act of self care because it will cause you less stress and that is so important
I’m the same way with germs, I get overwhelmed very easily by them. I just wanted you to know you’re not alone ❤😊
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Recently discovered your channel and am enjoying how genuine you are! Thought on that 70’s bath vanity - add stick on or regular simple knobs so you don’t even have to touch the drawers :) Keep up the good work!
Thank you, and I like that idea a lot!
I love your personality! It is great listening to your stories thank you for sharing. I'm happy Max gets a great life with you ❤
I love watching decluttering content so I am definitely subscribing!
Thank you so much!
We OWN and it's still a grungy house! Investment wise it's not worth putting anything into it, we've made it as livable as we can but it leaks dust into the house, there's mould, the dishwasher is not in the same room as the kitchen, it's impossible to heat and cool, I could go on but basically whoever buys it from us will knock it down and rebuild. I've kept house in it for 15 years and I've had enough! It's close to work and school and we got into when it was more affordable than now.
That is not to say you aren't entitled to your mini meltdown. Thanks for being real. It's more to say most of us can relate to keeping house in a place that's getting old.
Also, you did say you'd had blood drawn and I think maybe you should have rested that day you did the bathroom. Stuff always gets to us more when we're under the weather.
Another massive Job! Well done it´s hard to keep motivated. If you make a list of things to do can you hire a handyman for an hour or so and let him hang your grandmothers mirror and put the towel rack in another spot? If you paint the bathroom it will look so much nicer. The current shelf is cute if you can use it for your qtips etc I wouldn´t change it. The top shelf in the hallway I would use for things I use rarely like ski clothing or things like that or maybe the chrismas sweater and PJ´s? So sorry for your situation, I think a lot of ppl know what it´s like living somewhere you don´t like but can´t afford to move. I´m in a similar situation. My appartment doesn´t have any storage. So I have to be minimalist 😢 love your videos
I so appreciate your mini tears there. It’s happening all over and it’s something of a comfort knowing your rent is doable. Besides, you’re doing an awesome job. I love watching your process. I’ve been binging your declutter series. Power on girl!❤
Decluttering going well. You could get some Murphy’s soap to scrub the bathroom cabinets. It won’t replace them but they would certainly be cleaner. Just a thought.
You’re doing great! Your videos are so satisfying to watch.
You did so well with decluttering your bathroom and closet. Everything turned out great. Great video as always! I need to clean out my medicine cupboard this weekend. Thanks for that motivation!
Thanks so much! 😊
I'm proud of you! That bathroom was a very overwhelming project, and you have made the best of it. I think once you finish your deep cleaning of the bathroom, you will feel so much better every time you use the bathroom. It will probably help your mental state.
Put some dehumidifier s in your bathroom in the cupboards, the plastic ones, I use them in my wardrobe, they are cheap and WILL help. 💐
I’ve never heard of those before, thanks!
Thank you for leaving it in. A lot of people struggle with things like that and it really helped to see that we are not alone
Thank you for the words of encouragement, I appreciate knowing I’m not alone, too ❤️
❤ Donate the women's products to a women's shelter. And any cosmetic items. The towels look so much better on the rack. You did great again ❤
I completely understand the post pandemic budget melt down. I just reassessed my own budget, and I need to work 48 hours per week/6 days. That really sucks, especially since my employer is trying to cut back on OT. There isn't anything significant that I can cut from my budget, and I really can't be much more frugal than I already am. I'm sure going to have to try though. You're not alone friend 🤟
Well, now I got to the end of the video and I see you already did what I suggested earlier. I love that you share your high and low times. You go down a while and then get back up and start going at it again. That’s me too. There will come a time when you won’t have to live in a 50 yr old rental. (Been there.) You’ll have your own home and will be able to do what you want with it. If California is too expensive, you could always move here to Texas where homes & gasoline are 1/2 of what they are there. I love your channel because you are so “real”.❤️❤️
We have lots of friends who have moved to Texas so we’ve looked into it. But our main income is my husband’s teacher salary and benefits which I hear are not great in Texas 😭 Really any other state we look at puts us worse off on a teacher salary.
😢I teared up when I saw your breakdown, I’m sorry. I totally get where you’re coming from. I think you might have me beat on Billie replacement heads but I think I have way more beauty samples from those beauty subscriptions 😂😂. I’m really hoping this video gives me the push in the tush that I’ve been needing to clean out and organize my bathroom.
Thanks Nettie 🩷💜 I love the sample boxes but they just really build up 😆
All strength out to you - I think you put together a beautiful little home - and you do what you can with what you have and that's not for nothing! I thank you for an inspiring video - you're lovely to follow along with and share the journey 😊
Great job! Dawn, the basic one, works great for stain remover in the laundry!!
Great tip, thanks!
White vinegar kills mold (better than bleach). I would spritz that liberally on the drawers before adding shelf liner. I like the idea of painting to give a fresh feel, and that gives you the opportunity to move the towel bar and add a hand towel ring. You know those things will make you happiest in the long run. Maybe you can even find an oops paint color that you like in the discount section. I also like the idea of simplifying by ditching the flamingo items. That little white shelf is super cute though, and would hold the glass peacock and a few little jars for hair ties, cotton swabs, etc. The adorable seahorses could go above the new towel bar as you'd probably want to move the white shelf up a bit to accommodate the new towel ring. Gorgeous! Love your style ❤
Great suggestions, thanks!
Loving these videos, and love the Dawn dish soap story :)
Another job well done. I’m loving your decluttering.
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing both the ups and downs with us your bathroom looks so much nicer now 🇬🇧😁❤️
We repainted and got rid of car loads of decor in our whole house. Only the absolute favorites allowed to stay. Feels so good. My family is shocked but we didn’t want to put a bunch of holes in our walls. 🙃😁
Great job!!! Those before and after look awesome 🙌🙌🙌 I also rent, so I feel you. Thank you for sharing and inspiring us!!!🥰🥰🥰
Are you thinking about being prepared for a disaster? Those extras should be put away for a time when you might not be able to buy what you need. Earthquakes are a fear here in California. I live in the Inland Empire. Enjoy seeing your video. I started on the closet. Probably won’t get to 50% but it’s will be better.
We just got an all black 10 week old kitten yesterday. My kids named him Arlo. He is beautiful 😍
How sweet!!! 😻
My home is older too and there are many things I want to change. Although we are buying, we don’t have the funds to do many of the necessary upgrades. But I like you am grateful for the roof over our heads and I try to do things as our budget permits. I watch a young lady on RUclips, Alexandra Gater, she shares lots of renter friendly, budget friendly room transformations. You should give her a look. You’re doing great and your home is going to be amazingly airy and homey and lovely.
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll look her up!
I loved your video, If you don't want to put holes in the bathroom wall they have nano double sided tape, its reusable and depending on the kind you get can hold a decent amount of weight. 😀
Keep going Jamie. You’re doing a wonderful job. You got this girl. 🎉🎉
Wonderful job! Thank you for your raw, honest content. You are great and keep going!!
Nice job! Love your shower curtain! I hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend. Thanks for inspiring me to continue my own decluttering journey. I appreciate you. 😊🐦
Thank you so much for keeping reality in this video! Renting is so difficult because you never know if the landlord might just decide to kick you out instead of fixing the things that need fixing. The uncertainty is definitely anxiety inducing.
I have a few ideas for your bathroom. Feel free to ignore this if you're not interested!
1) If you're not already using the towel bar for your hand towels then you can definitely do that. Another option is to take the bar down and store it someplace until you eventually move out. When you are done renting there just reinstall the bar before you leave (I am doing this with light fixtures in my apartment). If you end up doing that, you can get a hand towel ring/hook/bar and put it under where the white shelf is now.
2) Shower towels - you can leave them on the hook behind the door like you have them or get a couple hooks to screw into the wall and hang them across from the toilet. That way they are right near the shower.
3) Thoughts about the black shelves - I wouldn't recommend putting them where the white shelf is. They are dark, which could look kind of heavy there, especially since they will reflected in the mirror as well. If you take down the big towel bar, I recommended hanging the black shelves above the toilet, if you do decide you want to use them.
4) White shelf - If you do decide to take the while shelf down and use the black ones instead (ideally above the toilet), I wouldn't replace the white shelf with more shelves. Instead, you could move the artwork that is behind your bathroom door and put it where the white shelf was. Actually, I just checked the video again and the plug is in the way. You would need a shorter piece of art to go there and have the bottom end just above the plug. Under the art and beside the plug you could put a hand towel ring. The big piece of art could go across from the toilet, if you decide to keep the bath towels behind the door.
Hopefully some of these ideas are helpful! I know I sometimes get stuck for ideas in a space that I am in all the time. People that don't live in the space and see it all the time can sometimes come up with ideas that you didn't think of. I know this happens to me with my workplace. I get stuck and can only see arranging/organizing the space in one way but a coworker can look at it with fresh eyes and come up with something that I hadn't thought of.
Good luck!
Edit: I finished watching the video. I love the idea of painting your bathroom a bright white. Because it doesn't have windows, the beige that is in there can make the room seem dark. I love white walls and then adding colour with artwork! Your cupboard looks great! I've been enjoying your decluttering and organizing journey.
Thank you so much for the suggestions and kind words of support! I really appreciate it!
Great video, loved seeing all the progress! Neuro-spiciness is a great phrase 😄
Haha thank you! I first heard neuro-spicy from @carriedayton 💁🏻♀️
You are so real, I.appreciate you including it was accomplished over several days span. Real Life pulls us away, or we(I) just don't have the umph to stick with a project start to end in one session!
It can be just flat out exhausting! Plus other life has to keep going. If I could take a vacation from all other responsibilities for a couple weeks, the whole house could get done haha 😂
Girl, you are doing great! Sending love and respect from the Netherlands 😘
Great video & great job making the most of what you have available. I have no basement or attic either, so I don't stock up on anything. I hate storing it. (Menopause is fabulous as it frees up THAT storage space!) Thanks, Mary
Hey from uk too loving the real life videos :) 😂😂😂😂
Girl-same with germs and avoidance! But you did a great job, the bathroom looks great! Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthdays Jamie and Blake! Sorry you are feeling stuck. I think I would need to paint the inside of the vanity drawers with Kilz primer to get over my thoughts of 50 years of other peoples germs. Keep up the great work!!
I know, right? The 50 years of renters really makes me want to barf 🤮 but then there’s our $3000 security deposit to consider as well! It’s a lose-lose situation.
I thought the same thing! Cheap solution too.
@@lauracurry9917 I wish we could! But then whenever we move out we’d have to pay to replace it or lose our deposit.
Amazing progress! I’m chipping away as well. Keep inspiring ❤
I have a small step stool that I keep in our closet that we use for high cabinets and shelves. I also have a “grabber” that I keep in the laundry area to help me reach high items.
oh i feel you with being over whelmed with doing so much , i feel so ill after about a hour cleaning ,i now do a little bit then go and watch bit youtube and a cuppa then bit more and so on, i think if you seen that state of my room to yours it would cure you lol , its terrible to be bad like that but you not alone , and you did it :)
You did amazing job!! Looks so much better😊😊😊
Suggestion: on the zon, they have these toothbrush head covers called Steripods. They clip right over the brushes and fully cover the head. Worth it!
Also, can you paint? I mean, a quart of Beyond Paint would give that vanity it's dignity back and look brand new. Honestly, if you do a pro job, in a neutral color, the landlord might not even notice or care...
I wouldn’t risk it. If it was already painted then for sure I’d paint it but since it’s the natural wood they might freak out and keep our security deposit. The cabinets in the kitchen are the same way 😣
@@DormanFamilyCircus Dang. Have you thought about giving them a drink? They look so thirsty! Try washing them with some Krud Kutter, and then rubbing them down inside and out with some Howard's Feed and Wax. It's like lotion but for wood, and it smells amazing.
So sorry-sending a hug ❤ You’re doing great-keep going forward with the things you can control.
I just want to give you a big hug! You are an ahmazing mom. Sometimes we just need to give ourselves some grace and not let things beyond our control get to us. It's harder to put into effect than me saying it I will admit. Ranting is healthy, I do it regularly and sometimes respond to them lmao. I love those clear bins and use them myself.
The extra pads can go to family, friends, or a women's shelter
Edit: the vanity in the main bathroom has an offset sink and weird dimensions so my dad painted the outside and tiled the top. (He’s a tile setter). It is harder to clean because of the grout joints and textured tile, but not impossible
We can’t do anything like that unfortunately since we’re renters. I’d love to paint it but then they’d make us buy a whole new vanity or keep our security deposit whenever we move out.
@@DormanFamilyCircus bathrooms and kitchens seem to be the hardest to work with, whether you are allowed to/afford to change it in any way. I’ve heard from both renters and homeowners that whoever designed the layout or chose the cabinets weren’t thinking about the future. One thing that always baffles me is when the toilet paper holder is on the same wall as the toilet or another far away place. That’s something that can be put literally anywhere
Store the pads in a bin up high somewhere. You will need them later for certain other types of “leakages” that will occur. Ha!
You’re doing a great job. When I first moved into the place I’m in now the place was gross but I needed to move asap. I strongly suggest using some liners for your bathroom just for that peace of mind of putting your stuff inside the cabinet. I used peel and stick wallpaper for my closet shelves because they grossed me out. Dollar tree has some that got the job done. ❤
I think you’re totally right, that’s going to be the quickest, easiest, and least expensive solution and I think it really will make me feel better about the ick factor! 🤩
could you hang the ikea picture frame shelf where the towel rail is above the toilet, for your q-tips and hair ties, and then hang a hand towel hook where the current shelf is? might be a way to get around having the towels above the toilet!
The mental meltdown is only showing your a human being who gets flustered with the condition of your home. We also suffer with some of the same issues. So don’t sweat the mental meltdown. So chin up and carry on and try to make it better with what you have to deal with. Just giving it a good clean is a start.
Ask the landlord if you can prime and paint the bathroom cabinet!
Popped in to let you know I was thinking of you! Was looking to see if maybe you had a new video yet and realized this was the last one you put out. I know you were feeling frustrated and stuck. Hope the quiet on the channel is because great things are happening in your life!
Thank you for checking in!! I’ve just been busy with various other things lately but I hope to get back on the declutter bus this week! ❤️🩵
@@DormanFamilyCircus Good to hear! I look forward to your vids and fun personality so don't be shy about doing a life update vid (or anything really) during times you don't have declutter vids ready.
Such an improvement!!!! Great video!
My apartment also has the towel bar right above the toilet, I never use it!
Such a weird place to put it!
You’re doing a great job! You’re harder on yourself than most…I would use that white shelf in the bathroom and roll up hand and wash towels to put in there a few rolls of toilet paper things you need and use more often instead of the decor…
That’s why I’m thinking of swapping out the shelf completely, a roll of toilet paper wouldn’t even fit on there. So it’s kind of useless for actual functionality. I don’t feel like I’m hard on myself, I’m curious why you say that. I don’t see it, but I also might not realize I’m doing it. 😆
Stay strong love. We got you!
I like your content. It is so real. Keep going.
Had a similar disgusting wood cabinet. Just put wallpaper down and took the chance of landlord, or property manager not noticing because looked nicer. But so understand fear if losing an affordable place, you did a great, creative way of working around so hopefully you will just notice the great organization. Great job.
The vanity in the main bathroom has an offset sink and weird dimensions so my dad painted it white and tiled the top (he’s a tile setter)
Your video popped up when I was taking a break from, would you believe, sorting out the bathroom. It was music to my ears to hear you say you were doing multiple days to complete it. I was thinking what is wrong with me that I can’t reorganise the bathroom in one day! Yes, sorting out is taking place on my bed too.
In regards to the inside of drawers possibly scrub and then paint inside with a clear polyurethane to seal and prevent bacteria transfer
That might be a good solution since it’s not a colored paint that would technically be “damaging” the vanity. Thank you!
Hello from Canada. Just found your channel. Great Video!
I encourage you to take the extra toiletries to a local women's shelter! also, i love your videos!
For the next video a tip is for the bookshelf on the right that ackommodates the toiletries is to push out all the books to line up the edge and that way you dont have any space to put random stuff and build up clutter. Those small things has helped me a lot.
Great tip!
Have you ever watched Cas the Clutterbug? You have very specific organizing containers which are difficult for a type of organizer to keep up…I would be unable to maintain your system. Cas has a short quiz which tells you what type of organizer you are…made a huge difference for me…I can now maintain my system. Your cupboard looked like mine before I discovered my organization style. Just a thought that might make your life easier
I love the way mine turned out and works great for my brain ❤️
Great that’s the main thing…it looks terrific.
I would paint the vanity with a good primer and then a nice top coat would freshen up the old vanity and surely the owner couldn’t complain as the vanity needs replacing anyway
Since it’s not already painted they could say we ruined it and make us replace it or keep our security deposit. Anything we do here has to be able to be undone to put the place back the way it was before we got here. 😞
Looks amazing! Pat yourself on the back! You deserve it🎉
It looks so good!!!
Hi, I love watching declutterring videos, what I noticed is people forget or don’t think about declutterring larger objects. I feel you feel overwhelmed because there are so many objects around. I would advise u to sell or donate the 3 cabinets in your bedroom. Just keep one and force yourself to keep items that fit in one cabinet. Good luck 👍🏻
Our bedroom furniture? Which cabinets are you talking about?
I think you did a wonderful job
I just got that same scale! I love it too!
I am beginning to think some people are simply born organized, it’s in their DNA. Their brains work in a certain way.
I label all my baskets and plastic tubs. I can’t find anything if I don’t label. 😂
That helps my husband find things on his own as well sometimes 🤣.
Hey, neighbor! I’m in SoCal, too! I thought I saw a Cal State Fullerton cap in the bedroom video! 😀
You sure did! My hubby went to college there!
@@DormanFamilyCircus So did I and most of my family! I’m still close by, but not in OC. Too expensive (like Chino is any better, LOL!)
