WOW!!...Thank you for posting that! Bill did love to dance. He invited a nice woman to come dance on stage with him at the Rocky Mtn. Bluegrass Festival when I was there, about 30 or 35 years ago. Amazing! Those two legends jamming together on stage informally like that. Heaven is a better place with those two gone home.............
I've just been roaming around RUclips this morning and I found this video. What a great capture of two music icons, now gone from us. Thank goodness it was filmed and got posted. It was so good, I was slapping along with the music and felt like dancing like Bill Monroe did. Something about that old mountain music.
OMG! Two legends sitting/playin'/pickin' side by side. RIP Doc!! RIP Bill!! Doc played more guitar in 5 minutes than most "musicians/modern day guitarist" do in a lifetime!! ..and Bill Monroe?? Never, ever,..will ANYONE stack up to this guy!! Awesome fiddle number..
Thanks for this. I saw the two of them along with John Hartford (Easy on my Mind) at Independence Days in Lawrence Kansas mid 1980's. Beautiful night down by the river. Doc played with a grin on his face as my toddler daughter danced. And the stories thes guys told . . .Doesn't get any better.
R.I.P. *Bill Monroe & Doc Watson* ✝ ruclips.net/video/_3V8pW14CO8/видео.html *LOST💜FRIEND* Song dedicated to friends who have left this world. Guild Guitar cover by *Duane💌Eddy*
Music that comes up from the ground, honest playing and what a sound! Bill gets up and Doc gets down, wish guys were still around. Call it blue grass call it "hick" but you can't beat it with a stick. Bill and Doc what a pair, I'd go hear them anywhere.
First time I saw doc was in philly 1969 at a time when folk was getting all kinds of new support at all ages his son was with him of course and the standing room only excited all the formal supporters
David-I have my health back (heart) and we'll record the middle or end January. With HaShem's continued care it will be done with flair and quality that I sincerely hope you' ll approve-zy gezundt for the new year- Elliot
The two masters together bringing the best to all the best who know and experience great bluegrass forever to highest quality folks who know it all--Hurray

Like a breath of fresh air on a cool autumn morning..... thank goodness for films like this. When the world goes to hell in a few months, hopefully these will still be available on someones PC. God Bless them. They keep joy and love in the heart.
Did Bill Monroe just say "go for it" to Doc ....priceless - saw some great acts at the fairgrounds - thanks for posting - I've been sad all morning but now its time for a very long celebration of Doc's life - Bill Monroe dancing - this is a choice piece of footage thanks for lifting my spirits - sincerely!
Have no fear, it will, and without the need for shiny, glitzy packaging. Truth is like that. And good on you for introducing it to you child! Pretty nice gift!
Oh, but they are here. We are only two with these memories of the feeling they gave us of being personal friends as they played and spun their tales. They left a wonderful legacy for sure, but these guys weren't just an act. They cared about the people they performed to. When they interacted with the audience, it was a genuine individual "eye to eye". And many times, it was a direct conversation. I sure wish I had been there for your '71 concert. Must have been incredible!
thank you so much for this trip back in time,,,,the style and grace of those two is timeless,,now they play for the greatest,,,,their Lord, and Redeemer,,,Amen,,,they are missed here by us that have had the honor of seeing them,,,,
Great stuff - thanks for posting. There are some other videos of Bill & Doc around - I have a Homespun DVD that has some footage of them performing together at the White House for Jimmy Carter.
At the Celery Flats in Portage Michigan, 20+ years ago, a lady asked Bill if she could take his picture. He said yeah... Lady-" Can you back up a little bit?"...Bill- "No lady! You back up!" 😂🤣
Oh my Lord......
