So my fiance bought me a fountain pen because i needed to start journaling for my mental health, and I knew nothing about fountain pens. Finding your page has made this an exciting adventure vs just an overwhelming situation ❤
I am really enjoying your ink explorations videos. I've been watching several of them over the last two days and each one has been great. Thanks for being so detailed and thorough in your exploration!
KWZ IG Blue #1 and IG Blue Black are Iron Gall inks (OK for fountain pens) that go down bluish and then turn blue blackish. Interesting inks. Some of the Diamine inks are very very wet, like Writer's Blood.
I'd say the inks on the first page qualify as blue/black but the inks on page 2 are either blues, teals or purples. But with that said, I know color is very subjective especially such an amorphous color group as this. Still, an excellent video. Thanks for doing this project.
It is a hard color family to pin down! Sometimes when I purchase an ink that says "blue black" in the name and then I start writing with it and it is clearly just dark blue I question their naming abilities haha. Thank you for watching and for your feedback! I have been loving going through all these inks :)
wow the PIlot Blue Black looks a lot darker... I wonder if the ink could have evaporated/concentrated a bit while it was in the cartridges? Or perhaps I have a different batch.
I have had that experience with a couple of the cartridges I have! However, the paper also seems to make a difference when I swatch and do writing samples. I was surprised too when it came out very dark.

Just a little shoutout to Truphae Inc., which has 5-ml samples! Amazing.
I am going to look them up right now! Thank you for sharing!
I got my glass dip pen from them - beautiful, writes great and a bargain! So thank you for recommending their samples.
@@donnarion1147 Oh great!!
Love these videos! They help me to decide on which inks to get next. Thank you. 😊
You are so welcome! Thank's for watching!
I have mostly FWP inks because I just love shimmers so of course I have Stroke of Midnight and can I say I just love writing with it!
It is one of my favorite blue blacks!
I like the Dentramentis Black Blue, and the Ferris Wheel Press Stroke of Midnight ink is really beautiful ✨🌌🥰
Those are my favorites too!

Awesome video! I'm definitely using this as a reference next time I'm shopping for a blue/ black ink.

Ugh, I have a sample pack of blue black inks arriving today, and now I see that I need to make another order because I didn't try any of these. 😂
Oh no! Luckily samples are not too expensive! I hope you like one that you got in your own sample pack though. There are SO many inks out there. 💝

Thank you for watching!
I love the bottle ink washi tape on the top of the paper! Is it on Amazon?
Edit: I enjoy your explanation in fountain pen ink! ❤
Thank you! It is by The Coffee Monsterz Co and Wonderpens 💝
I don't think it is available any more though 😢 I couldn't find it on their website.
BLUE:)💙
There‘s too much Japanese ink. It’s a pity that it‘s biased.
