***FIX AND RESET Cadillac Cue System***

- Truck's in the shop, and while driving my grandmothers car, I started having issues with the Cue System. Pretty simple and straight forward. This could save you a trip to the dealership.
Open Cue Door Compartment
Kill the car
Open driver door, leave open for 30-60 seconds
Close door
Close Cue door
Start car.

I was plagued for two weeks wondering when I wold bring my car in. I checked all the fuses and nothing. My Cadi SRX manual says nothing or resetting, but I knew if I looked it up I would find someone who would tell me what to do. It worked beautifully. Thanks.

I found out from a Cadillac dealership you can unplug the fuse to the radio for 30 seconds and it hard resets the que!😁

It’s located under the left compartment that’s under the emergency break. Fuse #4 & #5 are the radio and display

Good one! Its amazing how these resets etc on new cars work haha. Engineers with way to many thoughts on how to trick customers to take it to the dealership or stealership as some like to say haha
It did reset mine for about 2 minutes worked well. Ultimately, I had to replace the screen. There is a guy who posted a detailed how-to on RUclips. I watched it many times and got the confidence I needed to do it. J’s speed shop video. Now it’s like new and the new screen is very shiny-new-penny look.
Did you replace just the screen or the entire radio? My touchscreen works for a day.
Omg ur a genius. Was having a problem where it wouldn’t read my apple car play or Bluetooth. Also was not even letting me go to the audio screen every time I tried it just went black. Every other screen (climate, settings, etc) were working fine. Used this trick and it instantly worked!!! Thank you for the tip!!

Thank you so very much! It worked pefectly! I have a 2013 Cadillac ATS and for several months I was only able to listen to the radio, I could not use the navigation system or the cd player. However, I just watched this video, pull my car out of the garage and followed your instructions. Within less than five minutes, all is working. I pressed the audio button and my last CD starting blasting, which was "I Got the Victory" by Yolanda Adams. It was music to my ears. Again, thank you so much for what you do!

I'm a photographer at a car dealership and we got a used 2014 ATS in. Your video worked like a charm! Don't know about a long term fix but I can at least photograph the radio and other features! (Notably, the backup camera still worked when CUE had failed, so that's something at least!)
Thanks! My screen has been giving me problems and left my kids freezing in the back since I couldn't adjust it on the screen and it was locked in the back. Radio kept on changing stations and was giving me problems. I was able to reset it with the video!
Hi there we have the Cadillac SRX 2014 and the issues that we are having is the reverse camera is not working properly. when backing up you will see the red line on black screen. You wont see the actual ground at all. Why is that? Is that means we need to replaced the camera? thanks!

Worked for me ‼️‼️‼️‼️when my steering wheel control buttons were not working radio was functioning but I could not turn it down or up or skip a song with the control buttons on the steering wheel.

My CUE system is a little different. It has knobs and does not have the secret compartment. Any help?
On Cadillac XTS 2019 to do reset I had to do it differently. 1. Start the car and after a few seconds turn it off. 2. Open driver door, exit the vehicle and close the door. Do not lock car!!! Do not push any buttons on remote key!!! 3. Wait exactly 5 minutes! Use timer, it must be 5 minutes, no less!!! 4. Open the door, get into vehicle, close the door and start the car. You will see a yellow circle on the screen indicating reset!

Hudson I'd love to know how you figured this out ??? awesome ! Would you happen to know why my San Disc usb isn't recognized in my cue system but my kingston usb is ? both are formatted NTFS and both work fine on my laptop. Also the Cue system will only play the music in alphabetical order not in the order saved on the usb. All my other cars played in order saved. Any suggestions ?

Tried the process a few times - it did look like it reset it however I still have the problem of the Media and Weather selections don't work. Looks like I'm off to the dealer. I have had the CUE already replaced once this time I'm out of warranty - ikes!

Oh my gracious! While mine was still under warranty, it was freezing, flickering, etc. The dealership said they would have to replace it and if it wasn't under warranty, it would have cost $1500. It is starting to act weird again. I will try this reset method. Thanks for your insight.

Great info! Does the screen freeze very often, or does that just depend on the vehicle? If it continues to freeze, should I take it in to get it replaced?

What if the cue door will not open. How do you fix that? Everything works on my 2015 xts cue except the cue door will not open nor will the functions on the cue door work.

Thank you. I wanted to use the hard reset as you described, but I did not need to after the SRX was shut off for ten minutes. I just turned the SRX on and the system was OK.
Ah! Mine was stuck for over 30 minutes. I became afraid that after a long period of time, the battery might drain.

followed every step and my 2016 ATS did all the same things he described, and mine is still frozen on the "warning Taking you eyes off blah blah blah". It didn't do this until I put a fresh battery on it.

Will this work for a 2016 escalade?
My friend has a 2019 XTS and tried the reset several times but it didn't work. On a hunch, he thought to lift up lightly on the cue hatch door while waiting the 60 seconds, and the reset worked. Must be a micro switch that isn't engaging without the upward pressure.
Thanks, my Cue screen as been frozen for about three months and they tell me at the dealership it will cost me a $125.00 get it checked out to see what the problem is.
My screen is black, we went on a long trip with our vehicle out in the heat and the screen won’t turn back on. I’m hoping this will fix it even though it’s not frozen really it’s just not turning on at all.

The car screen finally bit the dust just yesterday. Dealearship replaced the computer with a refurbished one for $150. Thanks to the extended warranty.
The dealer acknowledged that this IS A KNOWN PROBLEM.
Got in the car and absolutely no screen, I showed the dealer this video and they pointed out that these are symptoms of a computer trying to go bad.

What do you mean thanks to the extended warrentee they replaced the computer with a refurbished unit for $150? I thought the warrentee is to cover you for replacing the parts with new OEM parts. And did you have to pay for the part?
@@mixhael6609 He did mention "extended" warranty which usually requires a deductible. Dealer will charge up to 1k to do this.
CUESCREENS my mother’s screen is starting to be unresponsive and kind of jumping around, like being jittery. The nav will jump to a totally different location then where I was. I hit the home button and it went back but then I couldn’t hit audio, etc. Would all I’d have to do is replace the screen with one of your screens to fix this issue, or is this a module problem and even if I put a new screen in it won’t fix it?? Please help! I don’t want her to pay 1500.
@@MinusTwoTonsils It's just the screen. Order a new one from cuescreens.com/shop and fix it permanently. Please don't pay $1,500 to the dealer, you will just have to repeat it again in a couple years. In selling over 15,000 screens, I have only seen a defective module 2 times. The factory screen design is terrible and is guaranteed to fail in 1-4 years depending on your local climate.
