Deku: "I'm gonna save that lil kid inside you AFOShiggy...by beating him out of you. TASTE THE RAINBOW!" One of the reasons One for All is one of my favorite anime abilities is because it is not some power foretold or gifted by prophecy and fate, it is the crystallization of generational hard work, teamwork and sacrifice. Every single OFA holder gave so much to get things to this point and it is so cathartic seeing all of them pull up on AFOShiggy. Deku yet again proves himself worthy of such a momentous inheritance as with his tactical, fan geek mind, he respects and combines these combos of quirks to their maximum potential.
Ik gearshift is the main attraction here, but I wanna give a shout out to blackchain too. It's one of my favorite ultimate moves Deku uses, and it looks fantastic.

The music cutting off as Deku saw Bakugo's body genuinely gave me chills. We've seen before how Deku feels about Bakugo. When Monoma insulted him in JT, Deku flew into a rage and Blackwhip emerged. When he was pierced in PLW, Deku raged and began to attack wildly. And now seeing him here next to his bloody All Might card, Deku is about to rage again and be an easy target for AFO. But Mirio is there to calm him down. Mirio helps Deku realize Bakugo is still alive. The heroes haven't lost anything yet. Speaking of Deku, we've finally seen his last quirk. Gearshift. The 2nd user's quirk. Formerly used to speed up small things. But now is the shift in battle. The rift between AFO and Tenko is widening. Speaking of AFO, he seems to have some history with the 2nd. He had tears in his eyes while looking at him. The first time we've ever seen AFO cry. Which now makes his reaction to Bakugo make sense. The 2nd user didn't have OFA anymore when AFO got his hands on him. He just had a small quirk. Yet he was able to evoke such a reaction from AFO. Bakugo doesn't have OFA. He's like the 2nd. He should be an extra. A nobody. But said extra without OFA was able to stand up against him. He was getting stressed out because he was reminded of the 2nd user in Bakugo's fighting spirit. The 2nd user who smirked at him even as he was being choked. Now Deku has smashed a hole in AFO's chest. Like how Bakugo had his own chest smashed open. But AFO thinks to himself that he hasn't had the chance to use any quirks yet. He hasn't had a chance to use his body yet. But there's still a chance at victory for him. He just has to bet everything on Spinner.
As for the timeline, this battle is happening sometime in May. The previous war was at the end of March, right before the end of the school year. They would've been second years and Mirio's class would've graduated for a while now if society hadn't collapsed. So it's been a little over 1 year since they started at UA and about 2 years since Deku met All Might.
Right on the money👍 Deku meets All Might early in his last year of middle school. A couple of days later they start the 10 months training for the entrance exam. I don't remember if we know when exactly the exam was held, but I imagine it would have happened around February/March since school started in March. Then we get seasons 1 and 2, season 2 ends with the exams right before Summer. Season 3 happens in the Summer. Overhaul happens in September. Cultural Festival in October. Shigaraki starts the 1 month training with Machia. Pro Hero, rest of MVA and Joint Training all happen before Christmas. Endeavor Agency happens the last days of the year and first half of January. First War happens around the second half of March. Just a bit more than a month later we get Villain Hunt. Less than two weeks later we get where we are now. Which means the second war happens in May. This also means everyone in class 1A is still 16 except for Bakugo, he turned 17 the 20th of April around Villain Hunt.
If Deku was here at the start Shigaraki would’ve gotten evaporated lol. Btw there was a small game out out based on Deku’s travel to UA. It was decently fun. The scene of him boosting after latching to the plane just reminded me of it
*Introducing Gearshift! If I’m being honest, it might be one of my personal favorite quirks.* *Changing the speed and/or trajectory of a moving object or attack is just a really out-of-the-box concept for something like an attack, and while it would already be extremely useful in a fight or rescue situation, in this case, Shigaraki, it’s also super useful when applied to other quirks here! So it might be one of the best tools for beating and saving Shigaraki!*
One thing I'd like to point out that they completely reworded in the anime, when gear shift and ofa mix (I'm using manga official translations here ) "they become capable of warping the very laws governing reality" then it shows a panel of reality being warped. I'm really sad they didn't do that panel or the words that come with it.

I love how Deku's literal gearshift method of activating the Quirk is a continuation of his way of learning his Quirks through visualization like the egg in the microwave, the taiyaki thing with Gran Torino, and the car metaphor for parallel processing. Also, I get a kick out of how the volume extra about Gearshift specifically notes that Deku doesn't know how to drive. Like, that's probably obvious, but I just think it's really funny that he's probably basing the gearshift movement entirely on what he's seen in TV and movies.
Alright needless to say I’ve been SUPREMELY hyped to analyze today. So I’m just going to dive in. So as Deku raced to the final battle, he came across SOMETHING. I recall thinking it was going to be the army of villains Deku fought in the 2nd intro announcing himself as the greatest hero. But I’ll be HAPPY to still make use of the SaS pilots to give her fight that much more purpose. They’ve even been told BY All-Might himself that Deku is the new holder of OFA. So I get the strong hunch All-Might was going to tell Cassie IMMEDIATELY that he wants her to work with his successor. He’s CLEARLY going over their Mach 8-10 jets by a sizable amount and it’s VERY similar to the Amazing Spider-Man crane scene. (Andrew Garfield is my favorite of the 3. Just gotta say that) Now he’s at the scene and IMMEDIATELY makes a grand hero entrance kicking AFS who IMMEDIATELY recognizes Faux 100 as substantially stronger than the 100% he used in the 1st war. And knocks him around more than the plasma cannon, the omega gauntlet cluster blast, Bakugo’s last moves, Mirio’s energy punch, and more COMBINED. (Also AFS recognizing the 3rd’s quirk so fast hypes me up since the two revolutionaries in OFA likely left PRETTY big impressions on AFO) So that’s your confirmation, Deku is DEFINITELY not at the 45% level anymore because Faux 100 just elevates him to the 100 he has available not the highest amount the quirk is capable of which remains unknown with the prime still an unknown. And when the vestiges appear, ALL BUT ALL-MIGHT appear. (He does later but considering what that image is for it’s like his stockpile presence didn’t appear.) But things aren’t all sunshine and rainbows that’s for sure. The swarm formation AFS used was CERTAINLY strong but this new armored form is a BIG move for him. Breaking through the fingers around his face is stated as not as big as hurting his main body. So he’s just mostly unphased by all this. And he has a PILE to show off. RIGHT as Deku does what he does best in checking on everyone 1st, he’s left hyperventilating IMMEDIATELY at the sight of what has happened since the war began. NO ONE is ok, they are all thrown around with ONLY Mirio being practically unharmed but traumatized. Ripped off limbs, stomach hanging open, RUPTURED HEART, and everyone is just trying to put themselves together. And worse? Deku can’t HELP them. He has ONE opponent. And he’s DESTINED to fight him til the end. And Deku JUST got out of his emotional trash fire from the rogue arc. That doesn’t make him HEALED from it, he’s still circling the drain pulling himself out from relapsing. I’ll take his anger here WAY more than his apathy which could break his heart. (The remix of Bakugo’s apology theme is DEVASTATING HERE) He can express himself. Just…poorly and predictably for AFS. Even at Deku’s 75% level, he’s still vulnerable to AFS no quirks. (And as Deku told Lady Nagant, if you got my spine, I’m done) And him letting loose Blackwhip wildly, smokescreen wildly, and all that. It’s all Mirio can do to calm him down. Thankfully it DOES work. Deku doesn’t have EVERYTHING but he has enough. His electricity OFA armor getting closer to full FIRE. Even his eyes look ablaze. And he has his IMPOSSIBLE mission to free Tenko Shimura ahead of him. While AFO has suppressed him deeper and deeper. Nana sees her…family molded into the armor and knows he’s there and everything gets started. AFS JUMPS and the whole fortress gets knocked down like an All-Might earthquake. And Deku just BLOCKS the punch. We’ve seen the quirks used in tandem and OCCASIONALLY combined. But he couldn’t do it against Nagant. Now? Let’s throw Fa Jin and Blackwhip together, shape em, boost it with stockpile and throw him around. And put ourselves on a 5 minute timer with the biggest reveal of them all. Here comes the 2nd’s quirk. Gear shift. Accelerating the strike AND his blow back as Deku essentially gets free hysterical strength. It’s NOT infinite speed but it DOES bypass the laws of inertia. I am not a physicist nor do I think any of us in the comments here today are. So all I can do is just pull up Newton’s 1st law. An object in motion will stay in motion unless force is applied on it. Which is constantly with gravity, mass and others. Without this law in place, an object with an outside force is NOT guaranteed to start moving, and many factors like momentum, and and course changing can also just be bypassed. Deku just froze the guy in place and made impact as he went to higher gears WITHOUT launching him as another force and has accelerated himself to 120%. At Deku’s current 75% level’s 100% shooting past to 120%, he went from Mach 22.5 Faux 100 to Mach 27 of All-Might’s Season 1 Mach 30. We are ON THE CUSP. He also can completely halt his movements with no drawback or slowdown on the body AND relaunch to the 120% speed AND combine other quirks while this happens. So here’s how Horikoshi broke the laws of inertia. I want to be concrete about it but I think it’s just as simple as looking at Newton’s 1st law. An object will stay in motion or at rest unless acted on it by a force. Which is constantly with gravity, wind resistance, and other factors. Deku bypasses that by hitting him with Faux 100 which we saw sends Shigaraki FLYING, and he STAYED in place until Deku LET the proper impact occur. Deku can accelerate himself to 120% which is pretty much free hysterical strength for 5 minutes combining with Fa Jin charging the right moves, AND halt his movement without any slowing down, whiplash, or altering direction. This is BUSTED. I DID end up talking to an astronomy/physics professor for more concrete thought processes, and we just spun out how to work out the other laws and ONLY talking about the removal of Newton's 1st law, but eventually his theories of what would occur landed on EXACTLY what Deku does to Shigaraki with NO anime explanations or clips, just theorizing the law itself. Just talking of the earth and moon's orbit. No inertia, the moon might just HALT even with force applied to it, OR spin constantly in a set direction its angled at. Which is more or less EXACTLY what we got as he removed and reinstated the motion law. I'm crazy for looking, Horikoshi is CRAZIER for likely talking to a theoretical physicist to write AND implement on almost the exact same thought process. And this is ESPECIALLY confusing to AFO because it’s barely recognizable as the quirk he saw from the 2nd with its current ability. And the 1ST time brought him to tears when he held the quirk. SMILING to make AFO cry as he shows the quirk’s original use JUST to tick him off to say “I got you” and now it’s the same. Deku under MANY technicalities has surpassed season 1 All-Might and has blasted through the AFS steroid armor. The 2nd SCREAMS at him to finish the job. The 2nd of EVERYONE wants AFS to go down NOW. There were SO many circumstances and people hurt leading up to this. But as we all know it’s JUST NOT YET TIME. So there’s EVEN MORE to do as he somehow regrows flesh to keep a somewhat full form. And there’s STILL many other final battles to get through. And for that, we’ll wait for next time.
@@Kaempfdogthere are pretty few true speed quirks in mha like gearshify. Engine and Jet do give superspeed but thats through propulsion. Although, gearshift is pretty similar to the quirk Overclock from vigilantes. While gearshift can be used on anything touched, overclock only applies to the user and speeds up their whole body and perception. However, the laws of physics still apply to overclock, so if they're midair then they can't fall faster since its just their body being given a speed boost. Gearshift has Quintuple Smash but Overclock has Instant Eight. Oh, and this isn't even close to the fastest attack in MHA. That would go to the Team Up missions character Blackbelt who hits your pressure points 100 times in a fraction of a second, so fast that people just think he did a single karate chop to take out a villain
@@tobofu5978 well I DID finally get more concrete at least THEORIES from my professor. And I felt pretty validated. But I think the Blackbelt guy still has this beat until we see the 60x boost come to fruition. We MIGHT be seeing those maneuvers get there.
Speaking of combinations, I always thought a cool one would be Danger Sense + Smokescreen. Copy what Mustard did back in S3 and detect people's movements through the smoke. But depending on Danger Sense's range and level of reading it may be redundant.

Okay as great as gear shift is i'm afraid of what the backlash of that power will be because the second said that if Deku doesn't defeat Shigaraki in 5 minutes he will lose, he mentioned is not something one can use forever so i'm really afraid of what will happen to Deku

Midoriya and Tomura. Two unstoppable forces clashing honestly. I know he saying goes “immovable object meets unstoppable force,” but they’re both totally the unstoppable forces here.
This fight has the best panels in the manga, and we barely scratched the surface. (Fights duration spoilers) This is also one of the longest fights I've ever read in a manga, it took over a damn year in a 1 v 1.
Awe, I was looking forward to you guys seeing AFO's face when he sees Yoichi's vestige and him _crying_ in that flashback and discussing what it might mean for the character. For someone like AFO to actually cry is a huge thing. :(
@@411Sleepyhead yeahhh no. never trust anything AFO says when it comes to these things. he didn't confuse anyone except for himself there, and 2nd smiling as he saw him cry only adds to the fact that those were (at the very least partially) genuine.
Gearshift is insane! And iirc was Rhett who mentioned a speed boost quirk? Either way, this episode was peak and I loved the "Kachak" sound effect like in the manga that they used for when Deku activated 🤩
It baffles me how many people do not get the concept of shifting gears like in a car to understand what Deku is doing, similar concert as you shifting gears going up in a car to get it to go faster and lower gears at times to slow down at moments lol
I wondered how they were gonna animate the Gear Shift punches. A lot of people were confused by the manga panels and thought it was five consecutive punches. No, it's five simultaneous punches. Midoriya is literally breaking the laws of physics here.
I was a annoyed at how they did somethings, but overall fantastic episode Edit: Honestly watching the reaction made me appreciate the episode much more despite my wants
It's super impressive how Deku can use all of these quirks to emulate himself going 100%. But just imagine what he could do if he could actually use 100% of his power like against Overhaul and then stacked all of this on top of that?
When I heard Deku's getting multiple quirks, I was worried he'd be a Master of all Trades type, which I wasn't fond of. I didn't want him to be an all-purpose pocket knife (I was really worried he'd get some op healing power.) But I'm glad that combat-wise, his powers support his "Hit Hard, Hard to Hit" fighting style.
Shigaraki was so beyond dead by this point in time if Deku hadn't gotten swiped to the wrong location. If Star and Stripe was able to team up with Deku, Shigaraki would have been obliterated.
Spoiler free: this episode cover ch 367 to 369 the episode was fantastic just like the res of the show with fantastic va, sound effect, music and animation, they did gearshift justice in the anime Firstly i talk about the contervisal cover which was of toru fully visible in her hero costume with tape covering her chest and privates and this cover cause a debate with one side saying "it a fictional character, what the problem" and the other side ssying " i do think it wrong depictaing an underage character like that, fictional.or not" infact it go so bad that horikoshi had to apoligised and he explained why toru cover, you see he was pressed to get the chapter out and hadnt drew the cover so he used a piece of concept art as the cover before the 2nd user quirk was revealed i had my own theories about the second user quirks like a fusion dance quirk, telportation quirk or a time based quirk and i brefiely thought bakugo was the 2nd ofa user i was honestly glad the quirk was not revealed to be something like a laser beam or explosion quirk since i thought that it would have been underwhelming in my opinon fun fact: in the english leaks, it said "gearshift could change the laws that govern reality" but in the official version only says "gearshift can change the laws of pyshics" i had a theory back when the 2nd user quirk was first revealed in the manga that he was the ancestor of knuckleduster from.vigilanties spin off
anime additions: the anime added aizawa telling mandalay to given the order to put up the shield again the anime added everyone else at ua high reaction to deku using gearshift the anime added the visual of every user aa deku metion them and added the ofa stars with each user rearing the fist back too anime removes: as the second is being chocked by the crying afo, the anime removes a tiny pannel of the second embers going out
Hype as this episode was, I am a little disappointed that the final quirk is essentially just yet another power up quirk, like Fa Jin and his base power. Technically it's different, but practically not much. He already had speed and strength twice already.
I don't think you understand the quirk if that's what you took away from this. Deku can literally ignore the laws of inertia, which means he can start, stop, or change direction instantly. It's kind of like Ochaco's Zero Gravity but on steroids and dialed to a million.
@@tmenke88 But in practice it's just super speed. It's super speed with a twist. Actually, if it ignores inertia then he can't use the super speed to hit harder, which makes it super speed with a downside. I'm sure it's a power that could be used in creative ways in another story by another author, but in MHA it's just being the flash with drawbacks. The visuals were cool, I'll give it that. It's just, in a series with so many diverse quirks, I'm annoyed that half of Deku's were basically all the same one. Even something like super hearing would be a more interesting power in my opinion. Also, Deku basically has a superior Zero Gravity power, and Zero Gravity doesn't effect the inertia of objects, just their weight. Sorry, I know I'm nitpicking.
@@LamirLakantry But it ignoring inertia means he can reach light speed and beyond, and there's no cap on it's raw speed,so he has infinite speed😱 He has enhanced senses though, just like All Might,it was clearly seen in his fight against Nagant😮
@@LamirLakantry I think part of issue is the subtitle translation. OFA+Fa Jin+ Gear Shift allows him to literally break the laws of physics/reality. He can change the speed of anything he touches, so the inertia thing isn't really an issue. He can decide how hard it hits.
@@user-rr7uh1bz5s Pretty sure you still wouldn't be able to pass light speed, even without inertia. He still experiences time, so with time dealation it'd still require infinite time to reach it. Also, everyone in the show is massively sub light. Power scalers never seem to grasp that a light speed character would release planetary sterilization level energies because of air friction alone. I don't see Deku getting close to that speed in his five minutes. Though light speed nerdery aside, I am curious what you mean by his heightened senses during the Nagant fight? When did he demonstrate that, other than recognizing Overhall at that distance, maybe?

*Changing the speed and/or trajectory of a moving object or attack is just a really out-of-the-box concept for something like an attack, and while it would already be extremely useful in a fight or rescue situation, in this case, Shigaraki, it’s also super useful when applied to other quirks here! So it might be one of the best tools for beating and saving Shigaraki!*

One thing I'd like to point out that they completely reworded in the anime, when gear shift and ofa mix (I'm using manga official translations here ) "they become capable of warping the very laws governing reality" then it shows a panel of reality being warped. I'm really sad they didn't do that panel or the words that come with it.

I love how Deku's literal gearshift method of activating the Quirk is a continuation of his way of learning his Quirks through visualization like the egg in the microwave, the taiyaki thing with Gran Torino, and the car metaphor for parallel processing. Also, I get a kick out of how the volume extra about Gearshift specifically notes that Deku doesn't know how to drive. Like, that's probably obvious, but I just think it's really funny that he's probably basing the gearshift movement entirely on what he's seen in TV and movies.

Alright needless to say I’ve been SUPREMELY hyped to analyze today. So I’m just going to dive in.
So as Deku raced to the final battle, he came across SOMETHING. I recall thinking it was going to be the army of villains Deku fought in the 2nd intro announcing himself as the greatest hero. But I’ll be HAPPY to still make use of the SaS pilots to give her fight that much more purpose. They’ve even been told BY All-Might himself that Deku is the new holder of OFA. So I get the strong hunch All-Might was going to tell Cassie IMMEDIATELY that he wants her to work with his successor.
He’s CLEARLY going over their Mach 8-10 jets by a sizable amount and it’s VERY similar to the Amazing Spider-Man crane scene. (Andrew Garfield is my favorite of the 3. Just gotta say that) Now he’s at the scene and IMMEDIATELY makes a grand hero entrance kicking AFS who IMMEDIATELY recognizes Faux 100 as substantially stronger than the 100% he used in the 1st war. And knocks him around more than the plasma cannon, the omega gauntlet cluster blast, Bakugo’s last moves, Mirio’s energy punch, and more COMBINED. (Also AFS recognizing the 3rd’s quirk so fast hypes me up since the two revolutionaries in OFA likely left PRETTY big impressions on AFO) So that’s your confirmation, Deku is DEFINITELY not at the 45% level anymore because Faux 100 just elevates him to the 100 he has available not the highest amount the quirk is capable of which remains unknown with the prime still an unknown. And when the vestiges appear, ALL BUT ALL-MIGHT appear. (He does later but considering what that image is for it’s like his stockpile presence didn’t appear.)
But things aren’t all sunshine and rainbows that’s for sure. The swarm formation AFS used was CERTAINLY strong but this new armored form is a BIG move for him. Breaking through the fingers around his face is stated as not as big as hurting his main body. So he’s just mostly unphased by all this. And he has a PILE to show off. RIGHT as Deku does what he does best in checking on everyone 1st, he’s left hyperventilating IMMEDIATELY at the sight of what has happened since the war began. NO ONE is ok, they are all thrown around with ONLY Mirio being practically unharmed but traumatized. Ripped off limbs, stomach hanging open, RUPTURED HEART, and everyone is just trying to put themselves together. And worse? Deku can’t HELP them. He has ONE opponent. And he’s DESTINED to fight him til the end. And Deku JUST got out of his emotional trash fire from the rogue arc. That doesn’t make him HEALED from it, he’s still circling the drain pulling himself out from relapsing. I’ll take his anger here WAY more than his apathy which could break his heart. (The remix of Bakugo’s apology theme is DEVASTATING HERE) He can express himself. Just…poorly and predictably for AFS. Even at Deku’s 75% level, he’s still vulnerable to AFS no quirks. (And as Deku told Lady Nagant, if you got my spine, I’m done) And him letting loose Blackwhip wildly, smokescreen wildly, and all that.
It’s all Mirio can do to calm him down. Thankfully it DOES work. Deku doesn’t have EVERYTHING but he has enough. His electricity OFA armor getting closer to full FIRE. Even his eyes look ablaze. And he has his IMPOSSIBLE mission to free Tenko Shimura ahead of him. While AFO has suppressed him deeper and deeper. Nana sees her…family molded into the armor and knows he’s there and everything gets started.
AFS JUMPS and the whole fortress gets knocked down like an All-Might earthquake. And Deku just BLOCKS the punch. We’ve seen the quirks used in tandem and OCCASIONALLY combined. But he couldn’t do it against Nagant. Now? Let’s throw Fa Jin and Blackwhip together, shape em, boost it with stockpile and throw him around. And put ourselves on a 5 minute timer with the biggest reveal of them all. Here comes the 2nd’s quirk. Gear shift. Accelerating the strike AND his blow back as Deku essentially gets free hysterical strength. It’s NOT infinite speed but it DOES bypass the laws of inertia. I am not a physicist nor do I think any of us in the comments here today are. So all I can do is just pull up Newton’s 1st law. An object in motion will stay in motion unless force is applied on it. Which is constantly with gravity, mass and others. Without this law in place, an object with an outside force is NOT guaranteed to start moving, and many factors like momentum, and and course changing can also just be bypassed. Deku just froze the guy in place and made impact as he went to higher gears WITHOUT launching him as another force and has accelerated himself to 120%. At Deku’s current 75% level’s 100% shooting past to 120%, he went from Mach 22.5 Faux 100 to Mach 27 of All-Might’s Season 1 Mach 30. We are ON THE CUSP. He also can completely halt his movements with no drawback or slowdown on the body AND relaunch to the 120% speed AND combine other quirks while this happens. So here’s how Horikoshi broke the laws of inertia. I want to be concrete about it but I think it’s just as simple as looking at Newton’s 1st law. An object will stay in motion or at rest unless acted on it by a force. Which is constantly with gravity, wind resistance, and other factors. Deku bypasses that by hitting him with Faux 100 which we saw sends Shigaraki FLYING, and he STAYED in place until Deku LET the proper impact occur. Deku can accelerate himself to 120% which is pretty much free hysterical strength for 5 minutes combining with Fa Jin charging the right moves, AND halt his movement without any slowing down, whiplash, or altering direction. This is BUSTED.
I DID end up talking to an astronomy/physics professor for more concrete thought processes, and we just spun out how to work out the other laws and ONLY talking about the removal of Newton's 1st law, but eventually his theories of what would occur landed on EXACTLY what Deku does to Shigaraki with NO anime explanations or clips, just theorizing the law itself. Just talking of the earth and moon's orbit. No inertia, the moon might just HALT even with force applied to it, OR spin constantly in a set direction its angled at. Which is more or less EXACTLY what we got as he removed and reinstated the motion law. I'm crazy for looking, Horikoshi is CRAZIER for likely talking to a theoretical physicist to write AND implement on almost the exact same thought process.
And this is ESPECIALLY confusing to AFO because it’s barely recognizable as the quirk he saw from the 2nd with its current ability. And the 1ST time brought him to tears when he held the quirk. SMILING to make AFO cry as he shows the quirk’s original use JUST to tick him off to say “I got you” and now it’s the same. Deku under MANY technicalities has surpassed season 1 All-Might and has blasted through the AFS steroid armor. The 2nd SCREAMS at him to finish the job. The 2nd of EVERYONE wants AFS to go down NOW. There were SO many circumstances and people hurt leading up to this. But as we all know it’s JUST NOT YET TIME. So there’s EVEN MORE to do as he somehow regrows flesh to keep a somewhat full form.
And there’s STILL many other final battles to get through. And for that, we’ll wait for next time.
@@Kaempfdogthere are pretty few true speed quirks in mha like gearshify. Engine and Jet do give superspeed but thats through propulsion. Although, gearshift is pretty similar to the quirk Overclock from vigilantes. While gearshift can be used on anything touched, overclock only applies to the user and speeds up their whole body and perception. However, the laws of physics still apply to overclock, so if they're midair then they can't fall faster since its just their body being given a speed boost. Gearshift has Quintuple Smash but Overclock has Instant Eight. Oh, and this isn't even close to the fastest attack in MHA. That would go to the Team Up missions character Blackbelt who hits your pressure points 100 times in a fraction of a second, so fast that people just think he did a single karate chop to take out a villain
@@tobofu5978 well I DID finally get more concrete at least THEORIES from my professor. And I felt pretty validated. But I think the Blackbelt guy still has this beat until we see the 60x boost come to fruition. We MIGHT be seeing those maneuvers get there.

Speaking of combinations, I always thought a cool one would be Danger Sense + Smokescreen. Copy what Mustard did back in S3 and detect people's movements through the smoke. But depending on Danger Sense's range and level of reading it may be redundant.
I remember back in season 6, when 2'nd said someting like "from now things will accelerate" and you guys immediately went like "is this his quirk?"

It baffles me how many people do not get the concept of shifting gears like in a car to understand what Deku is doing, similar concert as you shifting gears going up in a car to get it to go faster and lower gears at times to slow down at moments lol

It's super impressive how Deku can use all of these quirks to emulate himself going 100%. But just imagine what he could do if he could actually use 100% of his power like against Overhaul and then stacked all of this on top of that?
When I heard Deku's getting multiple quirks, I was worried he'd be a Master of all Trades type, which I wasn't fond of. I didn't want him to be an all-purpose pocket knife (I was really worried he'd get some op healing power.) But I'm glad that combat-wise, his powers support his "Hit Hard, Hard to Hit" fighting style.

the episode was fantastic just like the res of the show with fantastic va, sound effect, music and animation, they did gearshift justice in the anime
Firstly i talk about the contervisal cover which was of toru fully visible in her hero costume with tape covering her chest and privates and this cover cause a debate with one side saying "it a fictional character, what the problem" and the other side ssying " i do think it wrong depictaing an underage character like that, fictional.or not"
infact it go so bad that horikoshi had to apoligised and he explained why toru cover, you see he was pressed to get the chapter out and hadnt drew the cover so he used a piece of concept art as the cover
before the 2nd user quirk was revealed i had my own theories about the second user quirks like a fusion dance quirk, telportation quirk or a time based quirk and i brefiely thought bakugo was the 2nd ofa user
i was honestly glad the quirk was not revealed to be something like a laser beam or explosion quirk since i thought that it would have been underwhelming in my opinon
fun fact: in the english leaks, it said "gearshift could change the laws that govern reality" but in the official version only says "gearshift can change the laws of pyshics"

Hype as this episode was, I am a little disappointed that the final quirk is essentially just yet another power up quirk, like Fa Jin and his base power. Technically it's different, but practically not much. He already had speed and strength twice already.
I don't think you understand the quirk if that's what you took away from this.
Deku can literally ignore the laws of inertia, which means he can start, stop, or change direction instantly.
It's kind of like Ochaco's Zero Gravity but on steroids and dialed to a million.

Actually, if it ignores inertia then he can't use the super speed to hit harder, which makes it super speed with a downside. I'm sure it's a power that could be used in creative ways in another story by another author, but in MHA it's just being the flash with drawbacks. The visuals were cool, I'll give it that. It's just, in a series with so many diverse quirks, I'm annoyed that half of Deku's were basically all the same one. Even something like super hearing would be a more interesting power in my opinion.
Also, Deku basically has a superior Zero Gravity power, and Zero Gravity doesn't effect the inertia of objects, just their weight. Sorry, I know I'm nitpicking.

OFA+Fa Jin+ Gear Shift allows him to literally break the laws of physics/reality.
He can change the speed of anything he touches, so the inertia thing isn't really an issue. He can decide how hard it hits.
@@user-rr7uh1bz5s Pretty sure you still wouldn't be able to pass light speed, even without inertia. He still experiences time, so with time dealation it'd still require infinite time to reach it. Also, everyone in the show is massively sub light. Power scalers never seem to grasp that a light speed character would release planetary sterilization level energies because of air friction alone. I don't see Deku getting close to that speed in his five minutes.
Though light speed nerdery aside, I am curious what you mean by his heightened senses during the Nagant fight? When did he demonstrate that, other than recognizing Overhall at that distance, maybe?
