When you're gaming and your mom says you should go outside:
This should’ve been the videos title 🤣
Ha
@@UmerAJ Haha
@@UmerAJ Hahaha
.
This would be a great combo for van life. The solar panels and dish on the roof😂
Ima do that
As far as i know starlink cant be used for different areas or a movin vehicle. But there are plans to make it happen in the future.
@@flycrack7686 yes he mentioned it right at the end of the vid
Ben 10
@@demp11 haha ooops you are right
Dude woke up and decided to move his whole office to the park
Was sick of being stuck at home 🤣 We could all do with a bit more fresh air these days!
Dude woke up and chose violence
@@MegaLag You should see if you could take this on tour with you to the world's most remote locations and see if it is truly possible. Just national geographic the hello kitty out of it.
Honestly I'm impressed that the solar panels outputted so much considering their size, though it did look sunny.
They can actually produce more! Although it was a sunny day, I had tested it on sunnier days and gotten 135watts in input (which is the most the Jackery 1000 can take). Otherwise the panels individually can get about 95 watts each in perfect conditions!
@@MegaLag WOW. That's really good. How expensive are they?........... oh....
@@MegaLag are you in Australia? If so it wouldn’t surprise me if you had so much power.
Because you can basically get a sunburn from thinking about going outside here in Australia
@@PloverTechOfficial He's in Germany.
@@vincentschult1725 all good thanks! I did not know
*I love the Input/Output wattage function along with the % of charge remaining. solar **Generater.Systems** Well done.*
This is one of the very few channels I get excited for when a new video is dropped. Your narrative sounding voice is perfect for the type of videos you do. Easy to understand and listen to. The amount of effort you put into your videos are great.
Thanks for the kind words man!
@@MegaLag no problem! Keep the videos coming!
One of the best "New" tech channels! Great ideas and production.
@@itoleck yes! It’s definitely fresh.
Absolutely, this channel is gonna be big soon.
I bought a Jackery in summer and it literally was amazing I worked outside every single day only problem was finding places where I got 5g and it was fast
People outside the UK won't have these issues. Mobile connection is far superior in other European countries.
I did it while writing my thesis, in my case it was national park office. And I only needed jackery 240 + one solar saga 100W. It was surprisingly productive week for me. Though without starlink :)
Awesome man! That combo would certainly be enough if you’re working with a laptop and mobile internet!
OH, I'm so happy to hear about this setup and especially the way to manage productivity with it! :D
Starlink and solar power, just as the Technoking envisioned!
Wow, this project really impressed me. When I saw the video title, my first thought was "Has MegaLag's quick success transitioned into shillery so quickly?!" I was glad to see an honest review and a really cool use-case. Who wouldn't want to spend their workday in the park? The Jackery seems a lot more useful to me now--I had seen Linus's video on powering a boat using one, but I don't own a boat so that meant nothing to me. And your speeds with Starlink were double what I get with wired internet at home in the largest city in North America! Really good job, and thank you for showing both the uses and limitations of the current state of these products.
Thank you for featuring me in the video! It was a great video. Starlink is working great for our internet. We get around 100Mbps download and 10Mbps upload.
When you pulled out the solar panels I knew this would be an epic video!
I was like meh until you took out that Nespresso machine. Then I was like “this guy is my hero!”
Awesome Video! Worth the wait :) I really liked the storytelling and idea. Also I'm really glad you included a Sponsorship. It was integrated perfectly and not at all annoying. Even more it showed me a possible alternative to the google products.
Thanks brother!
Awesome that Jackery sent you product for the video! I looked at their power stations a couple of years ago but opted against them for the weakness that they only provide low-wattage USB-C. If it supported up to the current spec (100W) you could have powered your laptop and ipad without the loss from the inverter. Unfortunately, all the makers of power banks seem to do an either-or choice: either it's got an inverter OR it has full-speed usb-c power delivery (I've got one that does up to 87 watts usb-c).
That said, pretty brilliant setup, and I'm glad you pushed it to an almost silly extreme!
40 ping? That’s an upgrade from my wifi!
I love finding “small” channels at their “start,” as of this video I’ve seen all of your content and I’m loving it! I turned on the bell and look forward to more uploads in the future!
Thanks for the kind words! More content is on it’s way :)
Füchschen? Good choice! Probably my favorite Alt bier. Need to go back to the Altstadt and get some more...
Hey MegaLag, just a little advice on German laws (the Medienstaatsvertrag). You have to communicate, when you got e.g. some hard- or software given for free by someone with a commercial interest. Something like “Unterstützt durch Produktplatzierung” for (I think) 5 seconds in the beginning and in the end (in one corner of the video is enough).
Nevertheless a great video, I really love your storytelling!
Thanks for the compliment and the heads up! Do you by any chance know of a website where all of this is explained in English? Or perhaps an official website I can translate to English? Would help a lot!
Thanks again!
@@MegaLag The free WiFi for the public is really nice of you, but unfortunately a grandma recently successfully got sued for having an open wifi that someone used for piracy. In Germany, if you’re unlucky, you’re on the hook for your guests.
@@0xbenedikt That's why we can't have nice things.
@@MegaLag try shooting an email to your local (landes)medienanstalt, english could be a problem for a german Behörde though
@@0xbenedikt Was worth the risk
Starlink will be nice for for my 201ft M/Y during my 2023 world tour. Only problem is I do not have the money for any of that...
Poor production planning? Your videos are better than many people on youtube, love the quality of your vids megalag
This is kickass and respect for Jackery for being hands off.
This was an incredible idea. Great video!
Glad the rain stayed away. Great video 👌
The content quality is beyond incredible. For a pretty new channel, that's amazing! Keep up the good work, the results are coming :)
Thanks man! Will do my best to keep the good content coming!
I love this showcase of Starlink and just what solar+banks can do
I remember visiting Australia several years ago. When I arrived, I went to purchase a prepaid SIM card. What a shock! Excruciatingly expensive, painfully slow. Vodafone.
Luckily, as my prepaid SIM was about to run out of data, I received a message from my everyday phone service provider. They were now extending their included roaming service to Australia (and New Zealand). Limited to about half my allowance in my native country. Which was still more than I could find offered by any local phone service provider.
Of course, it didn't do anything to improve the connection speeds.
@Harry Groundwater tbh wifi these days is okay but mobile data is like not even in this country
@Harry Groundwater i have nbn fifty, even on the worst days i have garunteed 20mbps+ which is okay enough
@Harry Groundwater optus, ten bucks off with mobile plan comes to around 65 a month. its not cheap but its the things we have to do for internet. live outer suburbs of melbourne
@Harry Groundwater no problem have a good day but their mobile data is absolutely trash in my house i get 1 bar 4g
Thanks for the video. I'm a member of a search and rescue team (in BC Canada) and we often get deployed into areas with no phone coverage so I'm currently doing field trials with the Starlink RV version to see how well it's going to work for us in remote areas. We have a command truck with a generator which powers the Starlink which we use most of the time but we also have a mobile command unit with a Dell Rugged laptop, portable printer, and a Jackery 500 for when we don't need the larger truck. The mobile command unit is basically what you tested minus the coffee machine :). My next tests will be how long we can run without charging up the Jackery although we do generally have a generator along that we can fall back on.
Hi Jeremy, thanks for sharing! Your use-case is a perfect example of how this kind of setup can come in real handy for more real-world scenarios!
I hope it works out well for you guys. Thanks for the hard work you’re doing for your community!
Love your channel and where its going! You've got big things coming your way.
As a techy from the 90s this is really cool. That being said this is a really 90s solution.
There's Laptops that can handle light work loads on battery for over 10hours easily they often also have their own LTE antenna. So all you basically need is a laptop. Also man get a better data plan. 3gig for 10€ is really bad. I got 10gig for the same price and with the option to cancel any time.
What I could imagine this being useful for is a DJ set or as you did an extensive outdoor shoot
These are very unique ideas and your implementation is great as always! I appreciate you sharing this with us and have a good one, sir.
Thanks Recise! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Just a little note, you probably know already but just in case... if you plug your laptop directly in the battery's usb-c plug it should be much more efficient (you avoid 2 conversions ), assuming the battery supports the current/voltage combination needed by the laptop (USB-C sucks...). I would be curious to know if that works(if the battery supports it), if you test it.
Every video touches some new interesting aspect of tech. Clearly explained with all pros and cons. I am really looking forward to the in depth video of this insane power bank.
Thanks mate! Appreciate the kind words!
@@MegaLag also your Intro is epic 😀👍👍
When I see a megalag video I insanely click! Can’t wait for the new content!
Wooow! Your finger must be insanly thick?😉

Almost thought this video was sponsored by Jackery but then I remembered Monday at the start of the video 😂
That's some badass ISS at 4:02, complete with a rotating ring.

@@MegaLag for sure
I would take a Füchschen, greatings from Derendorf ;)
This is such an awesome video I keep watching it again and again. Already watched it like 6 times!
Love the upload! All I was looking for!
Would be interesting to put the dish on a car (maybe pickup truck) and drive around to test Starlinks coverage.
Yeah I thought about welding the Starlink to the back of my bike, with the Jackery in the front
@@MegaLag That sounds like even more fun. I've heard the dish is pretty heavy though, so it might be challenging. Nevertheless a good video idea.
Your idea is always amazing!
Keep going!!!
This guy does really great editing and Very Good videos. Keep up the good work!
I have Jackery's smallest power center. I have been very happy with it! And Happy with your videos, too!
Love that you posted it on Monday
This is my best video of your channel
And i appreciate your work for this video
I'm a new subscriber to your Channel! You have a way of explaining things that even I can understand!
Looks awesome! Love your videos, man.
Love the video - fantastically creative and fun
Freaking epic! Love your continued creativity for videos!
Loved this mate, well done
Great idea, great production, shocked you dont have more subscribers, keep it up love your stuff
Wow! Great video. Great that you disclosed that the company sent you the products. Many people don’t disclose that.
Great video! Very creative!
I've been doing park office the past few weeks. I get 5 hours on my laptop so I go home once it runs out. I sometimes use a canoe seat on the picnic table bench for back support or just a cushion. I have my laptop bag and another bag to carry my lunch/cushion/blanket. It is saving me from going crazy being at home all day.
As if the video wasn't perfect enough already, pulling out the Füchschen was the cherry on top :D. Keep up the great content
Dude, you deserve the shot to RUclips success. This video proves you weren't a one-hit-wonder with the Airtags stunt. You are a great story teller, and have put out great content so far. Best of luck.
Looks like a wonderful day in the outdoors
Amazing setup!
youre awesome man n that solar setup is amazing!
Excellent video! Keep up the good work! 👍
this video is underrated. keep it up!
Love this video MegaLag well done.
Wow. What a grouse video! :-) Well done, my friend! Really made me smile! Plus the Jackery gear looks awesome! Here in the Northern Territory - we go camping often enough, but haven't invested in a power solution yet. Will definitely have a look.
Your channel is going gang-busters mate! Keep up the great work!
Cheer Benjamin, really appreciate the kind words mate!
Yeah the Jackery is great, I’m sure it would come in very hand when camping. But Unless you’re cooking with it, the 1000 would likely be a bit overkill for camping. But hey, if you go often enough, I suppose the extra juice wouldn’t hurt!
Sir you are the best, your setup is perfect and that is a creative idea✌️
Damn this video was so interesting 😮 Also, LOVED the intro and outro animations... very creative!! You just earned a subscriber ;)
Thanks Cristian! Glad you enjoyed the video
Three sponsorships in one! Get the bag bro 🤑 Awesome video and idea as well
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for your time and effort
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching :)
This is probably one of the funniest and best videos I saw about an office setting during covid
Very creative idea!
this is so awesome, i am at college getting my bachelors degree in programming and definetily see myself working from some cabin in the woods with starlink in the future.

Awesome video, as always.

I've loved Jackery for years!
Love the content every video is entertaining
👍🏼 Watching and commenting via SpaceX Starlink! 📡 Here in the fiber-optic-free part of Rural America, Starlink is fantastic! 😎✌🏼
Ahh the video I was waiting for.
Love this video.
Your videos are awesome keep it up
Amazing video and thank you for making a great content! I would appreciate more videos on how Starlink works and how reliable it is in Europe. Anyways, keep it up!
Wow this is great
Actually by using the usb c plugs on the jackery for the iPad and MacBook you can safe a good amount of power by skipping the AC conversion.
Are you Tech-splaining
This is so nice! I’d love to go camping with the jackery and never have to worry about power or internet.
Thanks! Indeed, it’s a really cool set-up! I think I’ll make more video on different use cases for this sort of combo
just signed up to Monday, its so good and easy to use, that's for recommending them
Glad to see you’re enjoying the platform too! The intuitive interface is what sold me when I began using it over a year ago :)
Awesome idea!
Fantastic video! When you said rural and remote area I thought if fits perfectly to Rheinpark in Düsseldorf! 🤣 hope to see you around in town one day doing other amazing projects!
