That was such a special thing to do for your friend. And yes, as you get older (41🖐🏻), things like festivals and partying all night aren't as exciting anymore. I highly recommend traveling to upstate NY if you ever need those quiet peaceful moments but don't want to fly out somewhere. The Metro North has a couple really nice stops.

Coachella seems like it started as a place to enjoy good music and hang out with friends. And now it seems like this la exclusive rich people where people just show off expensive outfits. It’s less about the music and more about how it looks on social media. Something like lollapalooza seems far more focused on the music and appreciating good music and performances.
Also not to mention being in the hot dusty desert seems like hell on earth
