Join us in celebrating Sasquatch Chronicles’ 500th episode. We’ll be welcoming Les Stroud to the show, and he sits down to talk about his journey as Survivorman and what lead him there, what he’s up to now, and of course, Sasquatch. Les will share with us some never before heard experiences, his opinion on what the creature is, and will give us some firsthand insight into some of the most memorable moments from Survivorman: Bigfoot.
Les Stroud is a Canadian survival expert, filmmaker and musician best known for his hit television series “Survivorman,” where he uses his skills and knowledge to survive completely alone in the wilderness for up to 10 days with limited or no ready access to water, food, and supplies. He is the “only producer in the history of television to produce an internationally broadcast series entirely written, videotaped and hosted alone.”
Les began his rich career as an outdoorsman in 1990 as a guide for Black Feather Wilderness Adventures leading canoe excursions into the Northern Ontario wilds. The time he spent there would lead him down the path to creating his first documentary, Snowshoes and Solitude, which was named “Best Documentary” at the Muskoka Film Festival and Best Film at the Waterwalker Film Festival. Stroud would go on to produce a collection of “specials” for The Discovery Channel Canada which laid the groundwork for “Survivorman” as a full-scale series, spanning 7 seasons and inspiring a long list of subsequent “survival”-themed television programs.
His interest in the “Sasquatch Phenomenon” (as he likes to refer to it) began at a young age and continued to grow as he spent more time in the outdoors, especially in remote locations which offer few, if any, concrete explanations for some of his more mysterious experiences.
Stroud dedicated an entire season of Survivorman to the mystery surrounding Bigfoot. He started the journey from a skeptic’s perspective - equally questioning and open-minded - in the pursuit of bringing legitimacy to the discussion of whether or not Sasquatch exists. He remains actively interested in the subject, subsequently conducting a handful of interviews expanding on his beliefs and divulging details from some of the unexplained encounters he’s had while out in the wilderness.

My husband has always scoffed at the idea of Sasquatch, but when Les Stroud “went there”, he said, and I quote, “Now this guy I can take seriously. If he thinks it’s possible, then it probably is.”
Yeah he’s a nice person too a good guy.
jane goodall also speaks of them existing a REAL possibility!
@@banderas2000 I saw the interview with her on that bigfoot show on every Sunday and if she says there's no reason why they couldn't exist and maintain a population then it's possible IMHO..if most people actually have a clue how truly large some of these forests are they'd understand
So just Les Stroud is reputable and no one else in the Bigfoot research field is believable?
It real
My favorite reason for listening to the show is because Wes listens and lets the people talk !!! You get to hear the person tell their story and you can hear the truth and emotion of it all and become like a distant friend of that person, almost like united soldiers.
It will always be my favorite show ! Wes is the Coolest guy.
I bought a Sasquatch Chronicles hoodie just to start conversations!
Thats really fun !!!
👋
Les’ description of his communication with them leads me further down the path of the supernatural. They are the “Giants on the Earth in those days, and after”.
Yes, they speak a language (which I saw them while speaking, so no mistake ).
Nothing in the animal kingdom speaks like man,-- but these things do !.
Giants in the earth

You couldn't have been more right Les, I idolized your show as a kid and most definitely did hold on to everything you have taught through your adventures. I was lucky enough to meet you briefly at marble lake in Ontario as a young kid aswell and got your signature on a bill that I still have today, you are a huge inspiration and I'm so glad you are still coming out with new content to enjoy and inspire more young minds.
I could listen to this guy all day.
I could listen to Les for days! Such a great man and honestly the single most best talk I ever listened to, when it comes to this topics.
dude is a living legend. traveling the world, making music as well. i dream to be as busy as this guy. i want to explore the forest so badly
The only thing holding you back is you.
Take someone with you, and insure your own safety
I never knocked for these creatures, never hollered for them, but have seen them from the age of 6. They're out there when you least expect it, as they said.
The vibration idea is spot on. All living beings emit light. Control the frequency and you control how you appear.
Met Les once. He’s a very nice guy. I was about to go camping in grizzly country for the first time and he answered lots of questions for me. And yes has got a great sense of humour.
But I never forgot that lesson and for a number of years it was great. Never happened again. Thank you for giving us interesting really good content. By the way I'm sure people have noticed communication between animals . Cats and dogs and horses and just about any animal. They don't bark at each other to communicate in the backyard when there's no one around. The same with cats. Cool as can be.
Omg!!! Wes, I loooove this. Seriously? SURVIVOR MAN is the best. I was captivated by him right from the very beggining. He is the real deal. And that you get to be with him in his home, simply awesome. Lucky you.
You guys rock my world🤩
Awesome! Thank you Wes! |Thank you, Les! You were both great! Amazing and Wonderful to listen too.
Les Srtoud is a modern day trail blazer..
And so are you Les.
You are giving credence to this phenomenon we call Sasquatch. Keep up you're great work. 👍
My favorite share was the Lady visiting from England.. She had no clue what she was seeing. Till she was so scared, she fainted.
You can't make that stuff up.
That’s one of my favorites too. Genuine experience.
Agreed the English lady was one of the best. If you really want a taut and somewhat humorous one Vietnam Veterans episode the 2nd story with Armando the truck driver and his dog was super entertaining.
My entire family just love Les Stroud he is amazing👍❤️
Congratulations on 500 super great show and getting Les to come out on your show and say what he doesn’t on his show was EPIC . Great Job
That was orobably one of the best BF podcasts I have listened to..I've been a fan of survivor man's Les Stroud from season 1 episode 1 ..
I’m a believer and I have never had an experience personally, but the couple of people I know who have, I respect, therefore I believe them. As for Les, it’s exactly the same thing. Les is such a regular guy, great sense of humor and then there’s his survival side, which is real. Extreme respect, personally I love the relationship Les has with his son. Les is no bs. Please keep up the content Les.
Awesome interview. I also agree about the "Finding Bigfoot" show critique. I had high hopes for it but it made me just turn my back on the whole bigfoot "phenomenon" until recently. Now I need to go back and watch the Survivorman Bigfoot shows.
I enjoyed the telling of these wonderful honest
adventures of Les Stroud and I do believe in Sasquatch!
Thank you 😊 so much. From Broussard Louisiana and Happy New year, we need some miracles!
Great episodes. Thanks guys. Both of you do a great job and men like les are rare that will speak open and honestly about things no one understands
But I sure do wish Les would explain why this creature never dies, never defecates, never attacks animals or people, never seen in groups like other primates, never captured clearly on trail cams, never shot, never reproduces offspring but still exists, never seen growing up and is always fully grown, never burned up in forrest fires, never seen on drones, never trapped and captured, never leaves any bones like the Wholly Mammath or T Rex....
I have been waiting and waiting and waiting, maybe a man of your stature can answer JUST ONE OF THOSE ISSUES.
Wow , the survivor man himself . Great episode ty
Beautiful episode! Thank you Les for being so genuine. Thank you Wes for being so openminded. I am following from Turkey and i am amazed by your experiences. Wish you all a happy new year.
I love your interviews no interruption is the the best thank you for that
That’s dope hearing how great this guy is to encourage someone else that he doesn’t even know that does the same thing as him just gain so much more respect. One day hope I can buy him a beer 🍻
Thank you so much Les for coming out and sharing your encounters. You've always been an inspiration, and although I'm sure it was tough to share at first, you are doing the subject of bigfoot justice. Being honest with the high strangeness that happens out there, while staying grounded at the same time is spreading awareness to people who weren't originally open minded to the subject. I'm happy you teamed up with Wes to share his content as well, you couldn't have picked a better interviewer. Blessings for 2022.
Love Les and his willingness to always come across honest. Thanks for the podcast.
he will die of cherry black poisioning!
Wipe off your chin
Yo Wes, I just listened to this episode at the end of Aug and it's Fantastic! Les has been on the cutting edge of the 'Survivor' genre since he had a hand in creating it and it's spectacular that you gave him this opportunity to update us, his many fans, as to some of the 'Behind The Scenes' info that have gone on with the shows!! Your shows are nothing to 'Sneeze' at either as I'm finding them becoming more intense every time as well. Keep up the great work, as it's really uplifting to hear others share their stories and not have to suffer in silence any longer. Thanks for posting, ~Mark~
Yes! My 10 and 12 y/o boys were hanging on every word, action and decision Les was making….and…copying him. So I’m so glad he always brought his A- game. Well done Les!
Happy New Year and thanks for all the GREAT shows! Les is one of my favorites - this episode is a real treat!
Thanks for that one,was turned right in,great stuff.
There is 37:40 eps 7 Bigfoot les pans camera there is a big foot behind them slow it down and watch it les and Scott slow mo it ya see it walking upright
@@taylormaade7228 that was a sound guy running to get out of the shot. I see you spreading this everywhere after someone pointed it out to you. But it was a sound guy and the production team just left it in there as kind of an 'easter egg'.
@@VanceLeeMusic yes sir I watch a lot of all his videos in slow mo and seen something walk around in background well I guess if it’s an Easter egg it’s a good one i watch them over and over I guess no Bigfoot I guess we’ll keep shearching cause I was excited
Did you really listen? What did you think about during the 2 minutes of total silence?
This interview was fantastic. Grew up watching Les on survivor man. He’s a genius and I take what he says at his word. So glad he’s tackled this topic and is interested in getting answers
Les & Wes
Dynamo duo.
Stay hooked together forever.
I could listen to Les talk all day. Such a great dude.
Prime stuff right here! Been listening for a week and love Sasquatch Chronicles! Congrats!!
I love watch all les shows I can watch over and over need more shows and people like him he is most honest out there keep up and make more
I love les. Always watched his survivor man series growing up as well as his Bigfoot series. Man Is as honest and genuine as they come. It blows my mind to hear all of these attributes Les speaks of. I never knew Bigfoot to be so intelligent, just fascinating!
This is fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing!
I thought I saw sasquatch once and it scared the life out of me...turned out it was the mother in law coming round for tea lol😂😂😂 I still have nightmares about it
That was not expected hope she don't listen to this or your Bifey
I bet you wish it was sasquatch. Lol
Bufoon
Fantastic episode and spectacular show. Thank you for your channel. Love and God bless you Wes and all your guests.
We need Les to do more of the Bigfoot stuff I absolutely enjoyed watching those. ❤️👣
And you must also still believe in santa claus too. This is a total racket and I want in. Getting money for something that does not exist is the biggest racket going.
How do I get in on this money making game? I mean it, I just checked the prices for a bigfoot costume and they go for under $200 at Walmart.
1. bigfoot never in history has killed or attacked anyone, and deer, bears, cougars, snakes have.
2. bigfoot doesn't leave any poop, amazing
3. bigfoot never dies and leaves bones to be found or scattered by other animals
4. bigfoot is never seen on trail cam or clear video, always far away, not facing the camera, grainy footage that is about 10 seconds or less
5. bigfoot never been hit by a car
6. bigfoot doesn't migrate
7. bigfoot is a primate, but primates are social animals who live in groups, not always seen solo like bigfoot
8. Scientists know what lives 7 miles beneath the ocean, the dust mite that leaves dusty poop on your fan, but somehow they nor hunters can ever find a 9 foot tall, 1400lbs animal
9. The guy who made the most famous bigfoot video admitted it was a hoax
10. Not one hunter has shot a bigfoot, and it would be easy to shoot one and just say it attacked you and you defended yourself.
11. bigfoot does not reproduce a family. Consider that animals are hunted to control their populations, and since this is not hunted there should be thousands of them. We never see baby bigfoots, they are always fully grown up.
One guy said "you can't find any bigfoot bones because it buries their own, they are very intelligent." Another guy said "you can't get bigfoot on a trail cam because the battery system for the camera emits a high pitch sound that bigfoot can hear and that warns him about the dangers of a camera." And another guy said "you never see them hit by cars or shot because when it does happen, the US government comes out of nowhere and tells everyone to just forget about what you have saw...these things are special and protected by the US government..." LOLOLOLLLLL!!!!!
You have to be a professonal excuse maker or super naive to believe in this, amazing how people will believe in those views, but not think about bigfoot never dying and leaving bones or pooping like everything else on earth. Amazing how it can exists without ever reproducing any offspring..
@@larrypero5233 How'd you know? You can't forget the Easter bunny too. You're such a dunce!
@@mr.e6033 So what does that say about you when a "dunce" is able to ask you 10 questions, and you can't answer one? I mean the questions are extremely basic and yet you rather do name calling instead of educating others.
See, if you were really about bigfoot you would at least explain why he never dies, never defecates, never travels in packs like other primates, never faces the camera up close, never attacks or kills others, never leaves behind fur, never burned up in forrest fires, always seen fully grown, alone, far away, shaky camera, grainy footage, and short clips.
A man of your stature is expected to do way more than name calling or going by testimonials. A man of your stature is expected to answer anything basic. Now it is understood that nobody has all the answers, but gee wiz, you mean you can't explain why this creature hasn't been trapped and captured, or never dies?
Man, take your santa claus, easter bunny believing ass somewhere.
LOLOLOLOLOLLLLL!!!!
Fantastic show, we have all had strange experiences, but our ego won't let most of us to accept them , I find upon reflection on some my own bizarre things they line up with other people's.
We have so many other humans still living in the wild forests for Indonesia, the Amazon, Philippines etc which has had no encounters with modern man…an island in the Indian Ocean is off limits to the public for example… Sasquatch had the entire country up to the Artic as their home..then the gold rush arrived and settlers came in…in less than 200 years we have almost pushed another species to extinction due to our encroachment. If you were told that there existed an a feather velociraptor over 12 feet tall you would laugh..but in New Zealand, the giant Moa existed and we killed them all to extinction. So many species lost to so called “intelligent “ modern man. Sasquatch is intelligent enough to avoid us. The great blue whales has a language and very intelligent..yet we killed so many only a handful are left.
Or like the great auk , the arctic penguin
AMAZING SHOW! Love this episode. Lots to think about. Hope we find some answers soon.
I’m always amazed at how quiet you are and how you do not interrupt!
THIS WAS MOST INTERESTING AND EXTRAORDINARY SUBJECT MATTER REGARDING BIGFOOT ORBS...MINDSPEAK.. SOO FASCINATING ESPECIALLY COMING FROM SURVIVOR MAN...WOWSER'... REALLY ENJOYED LISTENING AND COULDN'T GET ENOUGH...ONE OF THE BEST OF SASQUACH CHRONICLES... KUDDOS....🐵
Hello everyone, Happy Sunday!
Throughly enjoyed the two of you together❣️❣️❣️
*thoroughly
My sister and her friends saw one of these things and I saw three creatures on a sandbar on the Texas side of the Sabine River from the Louisiana side. They could have been bears but they certainly didn`t look like bears. The big one was on two legs. What`s strange is there`s a lot more evidence of Sasquatch than the big black cats people see in my region but I`ve seen three of those at very close range.
Can you elaborate on the three creatures you saw on the Sabine river descriptions? Also where did you witness the black cats at? Years ago I saw 2 black cats in Louisiana after hurricane Katrina. I assumed they were escaped exotic pets.
Remember, bears have snouts. Sasquatch don’t. So if you can see their head, you can figure it out.
Australias own Les. Les higgins is also a survivor man . Called the bush tucker man . In the Australian out back .
58:10. I was standing on a hill in the Sierras around 1981 or 82. This massive wave of what I would call primal fear hit me. I had the strongest feeling something was going to show itself to me. No words or anything, just a heavy feeling. In my mind, in my voice Said I don’t think I’ll be able to handle it. I had the feeling of ok and everything I was feeling went away. I have no idea what that was all about! Until this day I believe something was going to show itself to me.
I already listened to this one twice
At the beginning there is almost 2 minutes of silence. No one here even commented on that. Has a single person listened to this? Or do people really just come here to comment about a video/podcast they haven't even heard? Good grief.
Yeah I caught that. I just forwarded a few minutes and the rest was great. I'm sure we weren't the only ones to notice. 🤷🏽♀️🙂
I think a lot of people, I know I do, fast forward through the first 5 to 10 minutes anyway because it always takes forever to get to the guest or the stories.
Focus on the positive, Erik.
I wz hooked after one episode.
Congratulations on 500 💜
You are right there is nothing more frustrating when a interviewer interrupts the show with horrible ,and boring questions 😴, I usually will switch channels to find something else . I love the fact that you let the encounter be told! Then you might ask a question after it is told. Thank you!
Epic interview. Great questions. Thanks for posting.
What an interesting talk you two had! I really enjoyed the conversation. I love you both. Have a great 2022, guys. Stay safe and keep on being honest and open, just the way you are. ❤️
Happy new year. Awesome video thanks brother.
Les I have a picture of a white orb with a bluish tint to it, it was at like 2-3pm and under a tree thats even casting a shadow and I truly believe it was my grandpa that passed bc that what he would do on his land just places that had a nice view he had a lawn chair there so he could just chill and watch over everything over us and idk it was a crazy experience but I definitely got a picture and its my background
So good!!! Thank you!!!
😍😘😍😘🎉🎊
If you are not much for chit chat..it gets good at 54:00
Thanks wish I would of liked to see this comment about an hour ago lil!!!
Love survivornan watched every episode multiple times
Amazing stuff. Loved it.
Les and Wes are just straight up legends. Humble and honest. Love these podcasts
Wes, you are the man! Fantastic interview!
les's episodes on bigfoot were the best on the subject . no one has come close to doing what he did . the truth about what happened or didn't happen is what made it great . l wish he could make more .
My uncle was 94 years old when he passed an adamant about these creatures being telepathic, he started talking about that back in the 90s before anyone was even talking about this as a possible attribute to this phenomenon? He insisted it was every time anything unconventional was meantioned in a conversation.
Awesome Episode !!!!!
What can I say Wes Germer and Les stroud. 2 of the coolest dudes out there and for sure at the for front of the Phenomena of sasquatch. I need not say more
Really lol
We love the sasquatch Chronicles 👍❤️
Thank you Les..for opening up...and explaining..when you went to..portland?...with the woman with gaurdian...you never explained at the end of that show..
I love les' response for the people that say "I've been hunting for years, I've never seen anything!" I'm going to use that against my father in law. He says "I grew up in the Arkansas Ozark, never seen it, it's not real."
My uncle is a logger and he was like that but eventually he saw them. They were being terrorized for days before they finally called some natives who told them do not shoot them first of all because they haven't harmed anyone and if you instigate you're going to regret it. The last part stuck with me because it made me realise even if you manage to kill one youre probably only seeing the lookouts, the more athletic hunter types aren't going to be too happy about it.
Your talk with Wes on ep 500 was a great discussion . u shud have him as a guest on your podcast, sasquatch is a fascinating subject to speculate over. but even when u guys were talking about film and advancements in tech, that was cool shit to listen too as well. Some people are just on that similar wave length
The Les show in India still my favorite. I don't understand how anyone can do that by themselves.
BEST SHIW EVER. WE LOVE U WES GERMER
Great to here of his expiences and logic
Best interview ever!!!
Great show as always Wes!👊😎
great stuff mucker many thanks. these things are here in the uk no doubt. take care.
I love this episode! 👣Two of my favorite guys! 💕 happy, healthy & safe new year 🎉🎊
Amazing show! Well done!!
Like many others love listening to these videos while I am in my sewing room creating I don't have to look up to the TV it's like story time for everyone and I haven't seen or heard bigfoot but I am a believer, with all of the channels out there and I subscribe to them also!
Wes you have a 'calming' effect on people.
Les is awesome
Awesome Way to celebrate 👍👍👍
Wow. Fascinating
I get anxious being alone in my house for too long. I can't imagine surviving in the wilderness,,, alone.
Cool! Happy New year everyone! 🍻
That was awesome
Wes is hands down the gold standard for Squatch pods!
Les is the man flat out. He could record a good show on The old VHS Camcorder.
The fact that you knew Kerry Arnold is everything 🤘😎
"We're sleeping" 👣 😴 haha love it.
Best episode u have made!!!!!
Great show guys, the way you let people tell their stories 👌
Les and Wess are both great.
I agree, you are an excellent interviewer. I get so impatient with interviewers who interview themselves. It's just such an ego thing you have the gift of restraint, and as you say it maintains a rhythm and a pace to the storyline. You don't butt in and add your commentary obtrusively
Right on!!😊
great conversation
I hope no one is offended by me saying this, but this is way too short lmao awesome interview
As a curious question too someone who experienced the telepathic speaking[and partly the lights], how confident are, anyone who experienced such an experience, that it is related and or is, sasquach? Or do you think they can be two,or more, separate creatures and or beings? I am kinda skeptical on sasquach my self, as I personally have not had any such experience in the woods myself, but I find listening to people who have very interesting and I can not be ruled out as a possibility.
Anyway great podcast thank you for sharing and thanks to the creatures of the podcast as well.
15:29 - Les Stroud interview ACTUALLY BEGINS ... 37:54 - Sasquatch Content Begins ...
