    I had to put on my headphones to hear it well. While in Yakima in 1970 I looked up Roger's phone number and had about a 15 minute conversation with him. He was very nice and polite. He reminded me of us farm and ranch folks in Idaho. By then I had read the Bigfoot article in Argosy magazine and had gone to a local indoor movie theater and watched the video Roger took. I came across a Bigfoot track in the Clearwater National Forest in Idaho and I have a photo of it. I had many conversations with locals in the area that had seen Bigfoot or had Bigfoot experiences. Idahoans don't talk about it much. You have to ask them. As soon as they find out you're a safe person to talk to about it they really open up. I kinda felt sorry for 4 young gals that had a very terrifying all night Bigfoot experience. They heard most all the vocal sounds a Bigfoot is capable of including the chattering communication sounds between two or more Bigfoots. Then huddled in their tent during 2 hours of hearing rocks the size of soccer and basketballs being hurled through the trees and bouncing off trees around their tent. Late the next morning after the hot sun drove them out of their tent they walked around and looked at the dents in the trees where the stones had struck and they looked at the large rocks all around them that had been tossed. Only one of them had even heard of Bigfoot before. Oh my. The girl I talked to really needed to talk to someone about it. I'm glad I was able to help her get this off her chest. It really bothered her and finally there was someone she could talk to. I have other stories but this one had the most terrifying effect.

Also, his "take it, or leave it," perspective is that of someone who knows what they saw and isn't trying to prove anything to anyone. Much respect.

    Pretty certain it was Al Hodgson that called Roger from Willow Creek, Ca. Anyone seeing a Bigfoot in this area always filtered it around or through Al Hodgson. 53rd anniversary of the greatest film footage to ever surface on this day, Oct. 20. It was a blessing there had been so much rain and log jams that built up soil on the banks of Bluff Creek as it created an outstanding substrate in which for Patty to leave some great tracks that were 42 inches apart all the way to 48 inches as she picked up some speed to get away. They were also smart to put tree bark over the tracks for other people to come and view, especially for Bob Titmus who was an expert tracker. When Bob talks about it is walking slow, but covering a lot of ground quickly, this is because their gait is different from ours in that they are so smooth, natural and athletic while walking ( and running ). They also have no straddle in their steps. They have no head bob unlike humans. To show how fast Patty was walking I got to talk to Bob Gimlin for a few minutes a few years ago at Salt Fork Lake, Conference in Ohio. I asked Bob how much ground did she cover in the 29 seconds of film. He told me from the time she took off ( Roger had not started to film yet, until the film ran out she covered 200 yards in 59 seconds. Later doing the math this measured out to a little over 7 mph. At this speed humans are actually at a very fast jog to running. Only olympic speed walkers can go 7 to 8 mph and when you look at videos of this, their walk is undistinguishable from running and is very herky jerky and certainly not natural and smooth like Patty's walk. And of course Patty is walking on very rugged and uneven forest ground. Bob is not the only one that makes mistakes in judging weight ( at lot of folks have trouble with estimating height also ). 12 years ago while reading every report on the BFRO website ( and several other sites also ) many people would state a huge muscled male Bigfoot at 8 foot tall or above weighing 300 to 350 lbs. while being 4 foot across the chest. A 4.5 to 5 foot tall silverback gorilla will weigh 400 lbs, and more sometimes. Now a huge male Bigfoot will make a gorilla look puny. Patty at appx. 7 foot 4 inches is certainly above 500 pounds. Probably above 700 pounds. I like your statement Les that they represent our connection to nature. My opinion of what they are is either Gigantopithicus or an evolved relative of them. Another hominid on the primate/human branch. Can they be much more? - I always keep an open mind

    • @marisxv
      @marisxv 4 года назад

      As far as your statements regarding the speed with which Patty covered so much ground so quickly, you have not taken into account the fact that Patterson turned his camera off several times as he was filming the event. And Patty is nowhere near 7 foot 4 inches tall. From those who have been studying this for years, the current consensus is around 6 foot 3 to 6 foot 5 at best. Gimlin knows this and I'm sure you do as well.

    • @cbrippee
      @cbrippee 4 года назад +3

      @@marisxv Bob told me the total duration from the time they rounded the root ball until she was out of sight was 58 or 59 seconds and they were going by that trackway, not the total filming time. They had 29 seconds of film, I believe. As for height no one really knows as you have to know the exact distance that Roger was from her when he filmed her, which was always changing as she marched away. I do know of a female Bigfoot in Kentucky that was 6' 7" at only 8 years old. They grow fast also confirmed by Kevin Lainge with his childhood best friend Glagg. Glagg grew from about 6' 2" to appx 9 foot tall ( and put on tremendous muscle bulk and mass ) in just 3 and half years. Also Janice Carter Coy watched them grow fast from babies to adults on her Grandfather's ( Robert Carter Sr. ) farm in Eastern Tn. back in the 1980s and early 90s. Patty looks older than 8 years old to me. I have a 10 x 8 inch signed photo from Bob at frame 352 when she turned and looked back at him on my office door. Of course like humans growth rate and weight will vary. I personally think she is at least 7 foot, and I think Bob puts her most likely in this range 7 to 7' 4" now. Maybe some day we will have the technology to really know. Best regards. Chuck
