And thus starts a beautifully written and acted relationship between two men so different in age, background, etc. It may be my fave of the whole series- and the moment when Charlie gets the carving knif from him is priceless

Another great moment happens in Shots Fired when the White House goes on lockdown and once the President learns of the situation he goes through the proper protocol then immediately asks the question, "Where's Charlie?"
Leo: He's somewhere in the building.
Head of Secret Service: We're holding people where they are right now.
President Bartlett: But if he heard what happened he's going to be trying to get here.
Secret Service Agent: We have to hold everybody for a moment so we can secure the...
President Bartlett: NO! I'm telling you if Charlie heard there were bullets he's going to overpower whosever's trying to...
Just at that moment Charlie come busting through the door after what can only be a dead run and a fight with another Secret Service agent guarding the door. He's out of breath and physically looks consumed with finding the President. Nothing could stop him from reaching the Oval Office. Once he sees the President he HAS to know that President Barlett is OK.
The look on the President's face says it all. He loves Charlie like a son and is extremely relieved that Charlie is OK, and was not beat up or worse by the Secret Service while en route to his office.
Once he knows that the President is OK, Charlie immediately starts breathing heavily and apologizes for his actions. Not to the Secret Service detail, but to the President Himself.
      Charlie: I'm sorry Mr. President.
      President Bartlett: Come here.
President Bartlett has a smile on his face. An expression of gratitude and pride. He's proud of Charlie at this moment.
Charlie walks over to the President wondering if he's going to be reprimanded right then and there but never hesitates.
President Bartlett: It's bulletproof glass in the windows, OK? You wanna kill me you're gonna have to do it from inside the building.
      Charlie: Thank you, Mr. President.
Only after that exchange does Charlie acknowledge his colleagues in the room asking if they are OK.
The devotion between these two men runs deep.

And yet working for Bartlett, being around so many dedicated and smart people, he grows not only in his confidence but comes to appreciate his own abilities and talents.

Aaron Sorkin’s work takes my breath away and I’ve watched all four of his West Wing seasons but bought the whole set.

I loved this show because it showed that creating change is hard. Each proponent makes the case for what they feel is the best stance on an issue, often asks for way more than they will ever get, and they negotiate, argue and in many instances find a solution. The solution may not please either side entirely but it shows that change is incremental. I read a long time ago that "bottlenecks" in making decisions actually help us find better solutions. @@royw-g3120 Didn't start any new wars though, did he? Infact he signed four peace treaties. The exact opposite of what the FUD from the media claimed throughout 2016.
By contrast, last week poopey pants Brandon blew up some women and kids in Syria and has been ramping up about Russia for weeks. War is good business for the globalists.
Reality is Trump never had a truthful reputation for the public to react to because the MSM media never let them see it, they just lied 24/7 about the guy. By contrast, Biden as VP way back helped destroy two middle east nations, setup ISIS, unleash a migrant crime wave upon Europe, and served a president who allocated $1 trillion for new nuke weapons spending, aswell as dropping 10x more drone strikes on civilians than Bush did.
Given the scale of the propaganda against him, someone having a -ve opinion of Trump is not surprising, but ignoring what Biden (and Hillary) actually did when in power is just bizarre.

I am a conservative , and a Republican, however I thought that this show was one of the finest ever presented. The intelligence, at that level was portrayed beautifully. I’m not sure that anyone in the Federal government, still adheres to principles, the way this show portrays them, and maybe that’s always been true.
It’s nice to think that though. May God bless America, no matter which side of the aisle you choose.
