My first Strat was a 1972 model next was a 1990 Strat Plus what a difference. Yesterday the 75th anniversary model came in and it`s been quite a journey.
Got my commerative strat today. What a gorgeous, smooth instrument. Love it but I'm afraid to breath on it. That first ding in the finish is gonna make me cry.

During Fender's 50th anniversary i bought my very 1st Strat: a MIM '95 Stratocaster Special that's my very 1st maple neck since i bought it brand new in '96, coming up on the 25th anniversary of when made my last payment April 23. Throughout 20 years I've endured its quality control issues which was prevalent in the 90s and have since upgraded it by going from the HSS layout to the traditional SSS and it flourishes much better as a Stratocaster should; here's to 75 beautiful years and thank you Mr. Fender and crew.

I just bought the Diamond Strat recently and I love this guitar. I was never previously a big Fender fan but, i am now. The only drawback now is, i really want to buy more Fenders but, my budget won’t allow it. 😊

Loving fenders, but holy shit fender is not cutting edge. They’re a company that lives off of their reputation, reissues and slight adjustments that they periodically remove and put back on over the years. Anyone with common sense on how a company works knows there’s zero necessity to be “cutting edge” nor would they ever want to.

The 75th anniversary is a bit nicer. Locking tuners, slightly better pickups in my opinion and gold hardware which looks nicer. But they are both amazing guitars so you can't go wrong with both of them.

Ordered mine 2 weeks ago from guitar center, wasn't expecting it until May, but it shipped Monday. They must have had a lot of stock come in so cross your fingers.
I have a 1979 strat "25th anniversary" my father gave me... It is my main guitare and I love it, but... My father changed the bridge pick up back in the days to put a humbucker "Dimarzio super distortion"... So he carved the wood of the guitare to place it, in order to play punk music. Thank you dad for giving me this guitar, but what you did hurts me everytime I look at it!!!
Fender has been kicking ass and taking names the last few years. This series looks to be no exception- and I've always wanted a matching painted headstock one too! Cheers P[>
I 've recently got my Fender American performer telecaster and i have noticed that it has a 75 years old anniversary stamp on the head, right next to the serial number. Is this legit ? Because it also came with a color crack around the neck plate and that make me worried a bit to be honest. (Btw the serial number is correct).
They are close but the American built Fender's are just superior in every aspect in my opinion. I've got a US built 1982 Vintage Series '62 Reissue Sunburst Strat as well as MIM and Korean Strat models from the 90's and in all honesty the American built one is just on another level of quality as well as feel and playability. Of course it cost at least four times as much as the others but when it comes to Fender guitars you truly get what you pay for! Cheers P[>
Probably not as good. I haven't played a Mexican neck in a couple of years that I like. No rounding, and pokey frets, just my opinion. The specs have changed compared to the older which were really good.

7:03 Hendrix tone and for me the best tone Gibson with his humbuckers try to sound like that tone for example : David Gilmour with his solo on " Another Brick on the wall part 2 " he recorded with a goldtop but when he played live with the stratocaster sounds much better so far ! and maybe nobody mentions this guy but for me this from 1970 he still plays Stratocaster the 1972 model Ritchie Blackmore actually he still make records with the strat on his medieval band " Blackmore´s Night " and nail the solos and Clapton he play strat too but sometimes i saw playing a gibson jazz guitar and Beck ,Mark Knopfler ( stratocaster guitar players ) switching strat and gibson guitar , Hank Marvin and Ritchie Blackmore playing stratocaster like on the begining .

So i saved up forever, had £2000 the american pro 2's came out, asked the guy in guitar guitar, have fender got anything else coming out NO he says, so i bought the tele deluxe darknight, now these come out i would of went for the tele in the bourbon burst instead!
i looked on a website, the anniversaries are made in mexico, and the commemoratives made in u.s..........that just takes away from the true american fenders traditions of the anniversaries made in the u.s.........just doesnt seem right, and for 899.00 that makes it that much more of a ripoff........now dont get me wrong. i have a mexican strat i sent back to fender and had it loaded with what i wanted, i picked it because it is the best playing guitar i have ever felt.i have had many of true studio and professional guitarist offer me big money for it because of the way it plays and sounds.........but my total cost was 400.00 bucks.........

Really can't say that the recording quality of the overdriven sounds is anything but massively disappointing. Fizzy and painful to listen to. I've noticed this with many of Fenders videos. Fender - Please take note!

How is the neck on the Mexican compared to the American telecaster?
In my experience they’re practically the same. The American necks look to be aged and tinted a bit more.

Whats up with the tiny neck plates
They're contoured, along with the heel, to get to those last few frets easier. It helps.
