Yeah, i definitely like your solution to the handle problem better than mine. Also, i picked up a sweetheart mints tin the other day and it fits perfectly in the inside big pocket. It's the same size as an altoids, but half as thin, and fits small bits, and maybe those hex keys, too.
Tama Longbong I'm a candy freak so I'm always scanning those different tins they come in. I will look for that one more closely next time, maybe have a Lori Wrench to hold up to it. If it fits that it will fit 80% of the others.
I'm sure you've figured out the handle situation a long time ago, but thought I'd mention it anyway. There's a carabiner that has a swing away hook that can be used for this. It's often talked about on travel channels. It,s often used to hang bags when in a toilet. Sort of a more masculine version of the purse hook. The biggest one is likely to work for most door knobs?
I hadn't seen the whole video when I wrote the above. Love the solution you ended up with too. It's all about hacking stuff until they do what you need, whether it's a ready made thing like that carabiner or what you did!
TruthAndTattoos paracord fixes everything! :) thanks for watching! I'm still using the cable ring since it stuffs in the back molle so nicely but para would definitely be my backup plan
Just discovered your channel a few days ago and I'm hooked. You mentioned in the unboxing video for the vanquest pouches you had a neighbor that might be able to tighten up the sleeve on the bigger case. You could probably have him put on a bigger, longer handle so you could use it the way you used the old one.
King Street Rob that's true, it's a shoe repair store and they have heavy duty stitchers so I'll ask him about that. I've got the FTIM stuffing video coming up and I've already decided to ask him about just cutting out the middle flappy pocket. Thanks for tuning in, I appreciate it :) 👍🏼✌🏼
I'm gonna go with the cable key ring for a bit to see, but yeah ADAPT OVERCOME CONQUER :) If it don't work, MAKE THAT DANG THING WORK! Thanks for watching :)
Very interesting about the handle on that Jason.... it is a nice case, and u have to wonder why they screwed around with the size of the handle.... how much does that go for in the States ?
The Slim was 15.99 the Husky was 19.99 and the FTIm was set at a "fire sale" price marked down from 36.99 to 22.99 (I wouldn't pay 37 for it) Shipping was 8.50 straight off the Vanquest website. Not bad prices at all. It all boils down to if you need "tight" interior molle for slim objects, or "looser" mollle for a little larger diameter stuff. After several more days I am of the firm opinion buy the Maxpedition style (that cost around the same price available all over ebay) if you need tight molle, and vanquest for looser style. Quality wise, they are both pretty equal. MADE IN TAIWAN! lulz
Hi Jason, made in Taiwan stuff usually is pretty good stuff. I have never had a problem with stuff like that. Pretty good pricing on the bags, they look super super heavy duty.... and yeah what a p*sser with the strap handle being smaller... really sux.

Rest In Peace Rob, you are still missed ❤
Pretty easy to clip a a set of D rings on the loop and make it any size you need with a piece of cord....

Ever consider a drop leg case, like the 5.11 UCR? It’s meant to be an IFAK, but I’m finding that it’s quite the handy tool holder for the tool basics

Wouldn't hanging from the side be better, so nothing will fall out, maybe a drill belt hanger or something
Could you not use a loop of paracord to create a new loop
