Seriously though. The dude is a friggin’ beast. Who knew a little forklift thing (IS Guido supposed to be a forklift? I’m not 100% sure) could be so gangsta?
"The King" is based on Richard Petty who won 200 races over a very long career from the 1960s to the 1980s, and they did race cars like that for a short time called the Superbird, and the other car with Mrs "The King" is based on Humpy Wheeler who owned several racetracks including Charlotte Motor Speedway and would come up with different ideas for races, like the All-Star race where the cars had different paint schemes than their usual ones
Route 66 and interstate 40 are real. Route 66 used to be extremely popular, but when they built the interstate, it bypassed a lot of towns, and most of the towns and attractions started to fold up.
This is one of the greatest movies ever! The characters in the story were well-made and the story is intriguing. I like how Lightning McQueen starts out as a normal over-confident know-it-all racer to becoming a considerate, caring friend. His personality change was great, because he also kept his confidence, but learned friendship and patience.
If you learn his backstory, it makes sense why he doesn’t have any friends, which is kind of sad. Closest he had to a friend before Radiator Springs was maybe Mack.
Paul Newman (Doc Hudson's voice), was a great actor, legendary SCCA race driver, and a really good and generous person: "Newman won several national championships as a driver in Sports Car Club of America road racing. He was a co-founder of Newman's Own, a food company from which he donated all post-tax profits and royalties to charity. As of 2020, these donations have totaled over US$570 million. Newman continued to found such charitable organizations such as the SeriousFun Children's Network in 1988 and the Safe Water Network in 2006. Newman was married twice and fathered six children. He was the husband of the actress Joanne Woodward from 1958 until his death." Please react to some Paul Newman movies! "Cool Hand Luke" to start....
Here's a fun fact for you girls. The movie features multiple voices of actual car racing legends, including legendary NASCAR racer Richard Petty who voiced "The King" Weathers. He was 69 years old when he voiced in this movie.

It wasn't until I became a father that I saw this movie and now it's absolutely my favorite of the Disney/Pixar films. My son used to watch it all the time and I took full advantage of every opportunity to watch it again and again.
Radiator flats story is basically the story of Route 66 in America. Up to about the mid 60s, Route 66 was the main connection across the country and it was a twisted road families would drive it for the experience together. Fun little towns and crazy tourists stops. But the interstate system was put in to save time. Bypassing many little towns like this.
When I went to California in 2015, I drove on hwy 40 and found one of those little towns in Arizona depicted in the movie. It was a nice little town with older cars painted up to look like those in the cars movie. It was really cool to see.
I wanted to give you guys a hug during the final race scene 🥹 My eyes were watering up so much...... I haven't seen this movie in a long time and now that I'm older and have been through tough times, I really understand the meaning❤️😭

"Is it strange i wanted the cars to kiss" LMFAO i feel that hahaha Man i hadn't watched this in so long, its so good. Timeless. No wonder this movie has bled into pop culture
This movie made me want to live in a small town just to see what it was like. Now I do, and I know what Sally felt. Though I miss my old friends and family in the big city, my new home feels just as good. I also have researched Route 66 extensively, and this movie has brought it back to pop culture stardom.
Fantastic outfit, Magy, you really matched the theme of the movie ❤ There's so much attention to details in this movie - the flies are flying cars, the founding father of Radiator Springs being one of those first models of cars, the cows are old models of tractors. The "facial" expressions of the cars, together with those big eyes, convey the emotions to the viewers like nothing else. Lightning had such an amazin character development throughout the movie - his friendship with Mater, the budding romance with Sally, the beautiful trainee - mentor dynamic between him and Doc Hudson. It was so endearing, how happy Lightning was to see Mack during their reunion, how much more appreciative he became. Luigi and Guido got their time to shine during the final race and it was a damn spectacle seeing Guido one up his bullies. Mater teaching Lightning to drive backwards - this new skill helping Lightning to win the race - setup and reward made for a very satisfying segment of the final race. Mater in a helicopter - the happiness in his voice - that alone is enough to make this movie a top tier one. I think the silly truck won every single viewer's heart over, with his accent, his blind trust in Lightning, his innocent idea of having fun, the loyalty he has towards his town and friends. Definitely spirit animal material. Seeing the town back to its former glory, all restored, was such an emotional moment, along with Lightning embracing his new "Radiator Springs" look. His new friends surprising him as the new pit crew was just the perfect little reveal. The biggest examples of Lightning's character growth were his refusal to accept a new sponsor, choosing to stick with the one that gave him a chance in the first place and also choosing to help the King finish his last race, instead of winning it for himself there - tear jerking material right there. Proud of you for recognizing the other Pixar movies during the credits scene! As always, your discussion was so insightful, pleasure listenin to you. Thank you for the beautiful reaction ❤

The hotel that looks like Giant Traffic Cones is based on a real place on Route 66 ( Wigwam Motel in Bernardino, California), and this story is based on the real stories of several towns that got bypassed by a major highway.

Joe Ranft, the co-director of this movie and the voices of Red and Peterbilt, passed away in 2005 in (in a twist of tragic irony) a car accident, when the car he was riding in lost control, drove off the road and into the sea in the California area. He was a storyboard artist and storyman on many Disney Animation and Pixar projects such as The Brave Little Toaster, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid, The Rescuers Down Under, eauty and the Beast, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lion King, Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Fantasia 2000 and Monsters, Inc. He also voiced several characters such Elmo St. Peters and the Clown in Brave Little Toaster, Igpr in Nightmare Before Christmas, Lenny in Toy Stoty, Heimlich and a Fly in A Bug's Life (he also reprised Heimlich in the bloopers of Toy Story 2), Wheezy in Toy Story 2, Peter "Claws" Ward in Monsters, Inc (another monster was named after him in the same movie) and Jacques in Finding Nemo. In addition to this movie, Tim Burton dedicated Corpse Bride to his memory.
Thanks for the great reaction... and greetings from Stroud, Oklahoma on Route 66... home of the Rock Cafe owned by Dawn Welch. Dawn helped Disney/Pixar with their research for this movie, because Disney wanted to capture the real spirit of the people who live on Route 66 and the road's history. When John Lasseter learned that Dawn had moved to Stroud from a big city, he based the character of Sally the Porsche on Dawn's story! Sally came from a big city and bought the Cozy Cone Motel... a tribute to Dawn moving to Stroud and buying the Rock Cafe. If you visit Stroud, there are replicas of several Cars characters outside the Rock Cafe... one of many great tourist attractions on Route 66. I invite you to visit Stroud in 2026... the year Route 66 celebrates turning 100 years old! It's gonna be a big, nation-wide party! P.S. I moved here three years ago from a big city too. I figured if Dawn had been accepted by the people here that they would accept me too!

This animation is very good and brings incredible messages to us about Friendship and respect, it shows how we should act in front of people and situations, prioritize what is most valuable, love. thank you girls you are awesome
In addition to finishing the Cars series, I'd highly recommend the How to Train Your Dragon series which is also loaded with positive messages and great storytelling!
And, you know, the _next_ movie in the series goes in a surprising direction. "Fin MacMissile. English Intelligence." "Toe Mater. Average intelligence."
When accidents happen on the race track, drivers are required to stay in their current position while the messes are cleaned up. They are not allowed to pass other cars in order to move ahead in the pack.. And I doubt that Lightning McQueen would be allowed to pull the stunt from the beginning of the movie.
Paul Newman historically turned down award nominations for his acting roles. But for this movie he was nominated for some kids choice award…… and he accepted it.
Fun fact: Actually it's not "fun" it's actually kinda tragic. The scene were The King wrecks in the playoff race is scene for scene based on a real life wreck that happened the exact same way. If you put the real video of the wreck and the wreck in the movie, it is exactly the same. Camera angle, speed, number of rolls, even the way the car looks sitting in the grass afterwards. It was almost a career ending wreck for the real driver
both outfits are good. The jacket and the two colored shorts. The tractors falling over backwards is a joke taken from "cow tipping" a practical joke in the midwest. The story is that cows sleep standing up and you can just push them over.
Hearts so tender, crying to this animation. You two young ladies are so delicate and precious. I am happy you both enjoyed this movie. I am hard to please, I watch very little movies or tv, but even I like CARS!
i liked cars as a kid as my dad is a huge race fan and every weekend he has to watch his races and i also live a short distance from the Daytona International Speedway

"Fin MacMissile. English Intelligence."
"Toe Mater. Average intelligence."
I-40 is the fwy my dad as a cross country truck driver uses. Usually starts from LA to east coast. Up to Massachusetts.
I freaking love this movie so much! My favorite actor that plays lightning McQueen is Owen Wilson
When accidents happen on the race track, drivers are required to stay in their current position while the messes are cleaned up. They are not allowed to pass other cars in order to move ahead in the pack..
And I doubt that Lightning McQueen would be allowed to pull the stunt from the beginning of the movie.
NOW WATCH CARS 2 AND CARS 3!
The voice of Doc Hudson was done by actor Paul Newman, who just happened to like driving racecars.
my childhood movie this how i got into cars
14:32 On a disc version of this movie. I think the bumper sticker said "Nice Butte" instead of "Radiator Springs"
Paul Newman historically turned down award nominations for his acting roles. But for this movie he was nominated for some kids choice award…… and he accepted it.
Magy :"There is a piston cup there. Take it. Make it your own"😂😂😂😂😂

Fun fact:
Actually it's not "fun" it's actually kinda tragic.
Life is a highway is bring me back😢
This was one of my favorite movies ever, just fun and amazing how they played out a wild idea
I remember exploring the radiator spring replica exhibits back in Disneyland, and just about almost everything was detailed from the movie!
Guidos "pit stop" is giving infinite aura
@Magic Magy Movie recommendation for you and Laura: Shrek Forever After 😀
both outfits are good. The jacket and the two colored shorts. The tractors falling over backwards is a joke taken from "cow tipping" a practical joke in the midwest. The story is that cows sleep standing up and you can just push them over.
Nice So Sweet McQueen 😢😊
So many classic innuendos in this film from the great Paul Newman to Larry the cable guy to Richard petty
Hearts so tender, crying to this animation. You two young ladies are so delicate and precious. I am happy you both enjoyed this movie. I am hard to please, I watch very little movies or tv, but even I like CARS!
@ 23:34 I never get tired of that joke!! 🤣🤣🤣
You ladies are so lovely together and to eachother.❤ Great reaction.
I don't watch for the movies anymore I just want to see the smiles and it makes me smile
i liked cars as a kid as my dad is a huge race fan and every weekend he has to watch his races and i also live a short distance from the Daytona International Speedway
LIFE IS A HIGHWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great reaction ladies, part 2 is good also!!!
I love when Laura gets emotional
Can you two react to how to train your dragon or Matilda please 🙏
Anybody else like Magy's outfit?
