Literally the first thing I thought when I saw the characters.

Looks weird in the character screen. Looks sick in-game, though. I feel like you don't notice that the legs are short in game but it makes the characters arms stand out, which is great and makes the attacks more satisfying
They look like they modeled the characters after gorillas. Really strange take to have the arms go past the knees, lol
I was thinking the same thing; I _hope_ that these aren't supposed to be regular humans or something. Otherwise - what the heck were they thinking when they were designed. lol

Love the Tim burtonesque character style. Really well animated facial expressions, lip movement, and voice acting. Game seems solid so far

It's beautiful and not smeared by ESG and DEI crap. So I bought this game cause the story telling is not shitty at all and is very interesting. Kudos to the developer Mahler for not bending the knee to ESG but bends a knee to true gamers instead.

Just bought it , gonna play it later.
A lot of comments online about the weird controls (run, dodge and climb all mapped to the same button, and the Mushroom cave in particular), gear durability and some terrible performance (as per usual these days).
Looks gorgeous, but possibly a brief wait as they release patches.
It’s early access fyi so might want to hold off even longer till it’s finished baking.
the whole reason developers realised this early was so they could get feedback like this so that when they officially release it full price it’ll be as polished as possible
May sound exagerated but this game looks gorgeous. mc body proportions aside, the artstyle is so idyllic.

I tried this game, got stuck on the beach area for 45 minutes, didn't know where to go or how to progress to the next area, uninstalled.

It looks like some parts are being skipped. Like at 27:00, after being defeated by the axe wielding guy then drowning, it skips to a different area.
Hope they can achieve a locked fps on consoles without sacrificing a lot the fidelity (4k30 will be good if locked) because so far this game struggles even on an expensive PC, visually this game is impressive and the art style is unique and beautiful, DF explained how they are trying innovative technical stuff with this game! its really great to see a studio taking risks, wish them all the luck
When this game comes out, it will be such a nice game, paying 40 bucks in order to play only the first arc plus game being alpha is definitely not worth the money, given that this is an indie game. I can't wait to see how awesome the game would be in a year from now.

I’m hearing the only people dislike about the game is the resource management aspect. It’s not a survival horror game so the inventory shouldn’t be finite.

you should do something about the controls, took me 10 minutes to find a spot where was possible to sidle to wall..also, when the camera moves, the movement direction changes if you hold the same arrow..it should be possible to control with a mouse like diablo

The character designs remind me of an old FPS game that didn't last very long due to bugs and hacks: Brink. If you watch the trailer for it, it would show almost the same style of character designs. Long, overly exaggerated face and boy. They took this to a new level by making it more pronounced in the hip and arm area. Weird looking.

This is the most boring looking game ever. I was browsing through the video and I didn't see any battle nor interesting dialogue, and there were way too many cut-scenes.
