I am talking about the roof sliding window not the doors. Only Scout 80s had sliding window but I am pretty sure you know that. At the 1.46 the person states that the sliding window came out in 1970.
@@TheBinderBoneyard I have to hand it to you, I am pretty shocked, and my hat is off to you Sir. I think you are the only person I came across in You Tube that would say he made a misspoken. Also I would like to tell you I like your podcast one of the few I listen too. Keep up the great videos and podcast!
Had a 1967 Scout 800 with the 266 V8 back in high school in the mid 80s. Loved that thing and have regretted selling it ever since as it was in really good condition other than needing an engine overhaul...now, to find a good one, you have to open the checkbook wide. Maybe someday I'll get another one.
Good information. Going to look at a unmolested 1969 800 A Aristocrat today. Owner said it was passed to him from his grandfather and great uncle. I'm hoping it still has the line ticket.
Ah I just read the comment from another keithtalking about the fold down window. Good info. It really had me confused. Would still like to communicate with the rest of the scout bunch .I'll try to find you on Facebook
I have an 800a with side round marker reflectors. According to the book, early production 800a had the round reflectors. You sir are wrong about important features of the rectangular side marker lights
You'll need to watch the video again. I specifically mentioned that the 69 800A had the round reflector which is correct according to all the literature.
I had a 68 Scout and it had the sliding rear side windows. I just thought it was an option that the original owner opted for.
I have a 69 800A and I have the round windshield Reservoir
Great video but you made a little mistake the 1969 Aristocrat came with sliding side windows.
Weird, of the 5 aristocrats I've owned, all were roll up windows.

@@roberttimbyI see. I said SR2 and commanche, which are 70 and 71 models. I did leave out the aristocrat, so thanks for the clarification.
