This is my favorite cruise line, private resort, better than anything I've seen in the Bahamas. I love the bay side beach, with crystal clear water. It's a really beautiful spot.
Absolutely the best Labadee video out there. Thanks again Matt for all that you do to help us fellow cruisers out. I’ve learned so much from your videos!
We just got off Oasis that stopped here. My wife rented one of the cabana things in Columbus Cove. Best money we spent. The staff brought us our drinks so we never waited at the bar and we were real close to that dining area. Absolutely the best way to spend a day at the beach. Oh, the view of the ship was nice too.
We were apprehensive about this port when we booked, after seeing your video…..we are really looking forward to it!!! Thank you so much for the tour!!!
Great video! This is certainly the best in depth Labadee video out there. I love the variety of things to do including the artisan market. It seems like you can get food, drinks, the beach, and some of the culture in one place!
Now that Royal Caribbean has opened Labadee back up, hoping it helps the Haitian people somewhat after all the turmoil they’ve experienced over the past several years.

Wow, that’s a very nice video of labadee. We really need a big pool with bar on it in labadee. They got a lot of place to add a big pool, labadee is huge! Thanks for the video.
Thank you for doing a labadee tour! Literally yesterday I was searching for a labadee video to send my mom about our future cruise on Harmony! Your channel was the first place I looked; alas, no video. Then you come out with one today 😂 almost perfect timing
hey matt, Tom here. we are currently on the Granduer , enjoying the carib. My wife and I signed up for the World Cruise, the ASIA 87 day section, EXCITED!!! Tom
Thank you for doing all these video tours. We're going on Harmony of the seas in September. I'm so excited to see all these places. I had no idea there was so much to do.
my family is going on a cruise and this is the first stop and i was nervous because iv never been out of the U.S. and this video made me feel more at ease about going to a place iv only heard bad things about
Matt, you are wonderful 👏at RC videos and answering questions. I really appreciate it; I am an experienced cruiser 🛳 but next week I will be on my first RC cruise...and your channel has been invaluable!
We visited Labadee in February on the Jewel of the Seas, and I had low expectations of this stop. But, I loved it! There aren't many videos out there of this port that are as bright and pretty as this one, but luckily you had great weather. We did too and found this to be the best beach day. The Zip Line is expensive, but it was worth it, and we had never done a zip line before.
Thank you for this. Never been to Labadee but it looks like I might like it better than Coco Cay (can I say that out loud?). I'm not really a pool/lay around on the beach person. The walking trails look like something I would love as well as the alpine coaster. Can't wait to get there and explore for myself.
Be careful about getting too far away from the main area. Like they say, it’s a peninsula, NOT and island and there is a fence separating this area from the rest of Haiti. There are some sketchy individuals there that try to get you into their shops. We were there right before Covid. Food was blah, flies all over it. Beach area is beautiful but we decided there was more to do on the ship.
Went to Labadee in 2019 & it really was just a beach day, we really liked seeing the local artisans & their work. The one thing is it was just really hot lol I couldn't stay on the beach for too long. I didn't walk around too much though, if we decide to go back then I'll try to do more.
I loved Labadee. I wish RC had a 7 day cruise that just went & stayed there. There's more than enough to see & do & we weren't impressed by Cozumel or Falmouth.
It’s a shame that they are offering same old foods like hot dogs and burgers instead of introducing the people to great Haitian food. That’s a missed opportunity.
We had an over water cabana. We originally purchased a beach cabana and were upgraded as the original location we being used for a staff party. It was beautiful but if you have any mobility problems it won’t be easy to get into the water.
Especially after my visit to CocoCay this past January, I was very curious about Labadee. It looks like a great mix of developed and natural areas. Great video. I can't wait to book a cruise and visit!
Thanks Matt for the tour I had an interesting time there, I was using a mobility scooter and pretty much got around OK but I felt that when I got back to the food area I was ignored and not helped to find out more about what food choices were available and where to park my scooter or no it seem like there was no one to help me that but other than that it was just beautiful out there thanks again for the tour
Matt, Labadee looks like just what a Caribbean vacation should be. I couldn't imagine wanting anything more ,except mabey a week or two more time to do it all. Well there's always next year ! Q: How long did it take you to see and do it all ? PS thank you for including the map .
Thanks for this, Matt. I'm going on a cruise tomorrow on Vision of the Seas and was really planning to stay on board on Labadee day. Now maybe I'll venture out on some of the walking trails and go directly to the crafts market (I forget what it's called) and will totally avoid the one where the vendors are so aggressive (you called them friendly, whatever).
Couple of questions: 1. Can you leave labadee and visit Haiti? 2. What happens to the uneaten food at the end of the day? Is it donated to a local community?
Thank you for this., Very informative. I must say that I'm not impressed with the glitz. We were there before all the 'improvements' and enjoyed our beach day very much - even with the short rain shower! We booked a guided tour (is that still available? I think maybe not) We learned about different kinds of voodoo, Columbus, exploitation, colonization, slavery, and much more. We also learned about the RCL lease of the bay what it means to the town of Labadee. Our tour was to have been only an hour but our little group had so many questions, we kept our guide much longer. He didn't seem to mind; pleased that there were some that were truly interested. We spent a little time on the beach and shopping for locally made crafts. Something that I found very interesting, is that evening, back on board, we chatted with some fellow passengers who said that they thought the stop at Labadee was a waste of time. 'Really?' We then asked if they knew some of the things we learned. "No" they said. I realized that they had no interest in learning about any of those things. The 'new' Labadee and all the fun things to do is all most people are interested in. So, realizing that we are in a minority, we accept the fact that Labadie Haiti is not for us.
We were looking forward to Labadee again but they just canceled it for the April 30th sailing on Explorer. Bonaire was added which is a bonus because we think the snorkeling is some of the best around.
Did a snorkel tour at Bonaire last fall, the vendor was called SeaCow. Very good snorkel experience and very professional. Each group had a guide and we drifted in the current at Klein Bonaire. And they didn’t skimp on the rum in the punch after snorkeling
This is my favorite cruise line, private resort, better than anything I've seen in the Bahamas. I love the bay side beach, with crystal clear water. It's a really beautiful spot.
My wife and I was there 3 years ago and we truly fell in love with Labadee. We are going there with my in-laws there in December.
Wow Haiti is so beautiful when it's cared for.
This is a tourist area. As a private company, they have no obligations to help their own citizens in poverty.
Absolutely the best Labadee video out there. Thanks again Matt for all that you do to help us fellow cruisers out. I’ve learned so much from your videos!
Yes, this is my country! Haiti is beautiful and Labadee is a paradise. Thank you for this great video describing a day in Labadee!

Great Video Matt. The only comment that I could think of is that Labadee has the Hottest Sun in the Caribbean. Keep reapplying that sun screen.

Now that Royal Caribbean has opened Labadee back up, hoping it helps the Haitian people somewhat after all the turmoil they’ve experienced over the past several years.
Well, at least a few of them will have part time jobs thanks to the tourists.
