It's funny one of my tutors from university called him 'Little Clint' with his reasoning being that all the sets in his Westerns were really small in order to make him look so big. It's always stuck with me so every time I hear someone talking about Eastwood I always think 'Little Clint'.
I think that the idea of the film renders any questions and critique obsolete. That's a different genre, so get over yourselves. Because, guess what, guys, we all are bad actors in our lives. and guess what, life is boring even when such events happen. Maybe he is trying to say how perverted by the Hollywood industry our perception of life is.
