I received a 4" laceration on the back of my calf from one if my trusty blue chesters. I lost a pedal whilst mid-air from a 15 foot step down and landed with the aforementioned calf resting on several of the pins. I was riding the next day after getting stitched up. My wife thinks I'm an idiot.
Dude that's hardcore. I've had people look at my shins when I'm wearing shorts and ask "is that from mountain biking?" I recently switched over to one up composite pedals because the blue matched my bike better, but actually like them better.
@@TheSaucyMTBr yes, they’re threaded. Can be a little stubborn and monotonous but still faster than a file. By the way, i had a shin cut like that down to the bone about 2-3 inches long; it bleed so much my socks and shoes were full of blood. It was deep enough to see white bone. I slapped a quick clot bandage over it and was able to drive over 2 hours to a better town to get stitches. The entire time I didn’t bleed at all. The doctor was amazed. You can easily fit a quick clot kit in a bike pack/Fanny pack. Just in case.

I have same petals only I lowered the pins quite a bit. They’ve gotten me a few times in the back of the leg.
Never thought of lowering them! Ha. What is wrong with me? That's easier than filing them down.
