This project is pure gold in my opinion. We never miss an episode of Outdoors with the Morgans. Especially like to watch you play in the dirt . . . growing up in the 40's, the most fun you could have was sliding down the wet dirt on the river bank or digging in the sand gully between the house and the railroad tracks.. We agree, you are goooood!!! Best Wishes from California. My husband turned 83 last week.
Nothing better than watching another guy play in the dirt! I love your toys. The only difference is mine have 4 wheels and i drive through the mountains of WNC. Have a blessed Easter! and give thanks for His gift!
Mike you really have a good eye for working dirt with your machines. That side hill you cut in with the mini-ex and skid steer turned out just awesome. Keep the great content coming. We appreciate the hard work that must be involved making all these videos.
Good morning all! Your woodyard is taking shape! Hey, on my 10-acre honey locust and Osage orange clearing project - I may have found the optimum solution! There’s a local manufacturing company that makes a skid steer attachment tree saw with 36” blade, 3/4” thick with carbide teeth. It can cut trees off just below ground level, solving the root grinding issue too. And the best part? Just about our nearest neighbor has one with a track skid steer! He got it to clear fence rows on his place. We’ll take a look at the equipment and the project when I go to the farm in July and see if he can say how much a couple of days of work would cost me. He said it burns fuel at about the same rate as a similar-size tractor - only 5-6 gph, so I’d hope it’s not too pricey. Doing it way for a couple of days (especially if I can line up another track skid steer with grapple to move downed trees out of the way) would be the equivalent of several weeks of manual cutting and I’d still have to deal with stumps if I went that way. Does anyone in the OWTM world have experience with this kind of tool?
The Honey Locusts are bad about regrowing if you don't remove the roots. I used my mini excavator to remove them. Don't have any experience with the Osage Orange here in Tennessee. Hope this helps, good luck on your project.
You still have to put tordon on the stumps then come back and foliar spray regrowth every 2 or 3 years or it will come back worse than ever here in eastern Kansas. The only tree we have that you can cut and kill without chemical is Eastern red cedar.
Great job painting line. It would have been all over my shoes if I had done that. Love the out come of the wood storage area. That is a great job. For not being able to angle the bucket it is great. That is one happy dog.
Mike - your skill is one of a visionary. Few people can sit behind the controls and sculpt the hillside and the property the way you have. Congrats and thx for sharing and enjoy your channel.
Archie gets me smiling every time with his antics. Nice straight line Melissa without a hiccup. Mike you’re a Picasso with that skid steer. Happy Easter Morgan’s!
Archie is SUCH a smart dog that he’s helping you clear the orange line by biting off the residual stuff. What a GOOD doggie you have. I wish I could have them again but I just don’t have the time to train them.
I ran across one of your very first videon back in 2017 and all you had was a single row of stacked firewood and a deer feeder. It's amazing what one person can change with the right equipment
Might be interesting to see a drone view of the renewable energy processing center from the past compared to a view of how it looks now. I remember not so long ago when the only thing down there was a deer feeder!
BEWARE: Sculptor at work !! What a transformation you made of that slope, Mike !! You certainly have a flair for driving that skidloader !! It did EXACTLY what you wanted !! I continue to salute you on your earthmoving skills !!
It did not turn out right. He said he would fix it. Because the depth of the soil increases, the length of the slope must also increase, to maintain the same angle. I think he would admit to a miscalculation. A straight line at the bottom would be best along with a curved line at the top. Do you recognize the situation that I recognize?
At 22:05 she said the dog recognized what he recognized, that an adjustment was needed. Sometimes it is easier to make an adjustment than it is to have engineered the project to start with.
Good morning, Happy Easter 🐣. Nothing better than a video in the morning. Weather has been crazy up this way . Ground cover in snow this morning. Happy Easter to the rest of your family and to all your followers.
I really don't know how you ever got along without that track loader, doing a great job on the landscaping wish I could be there in person and watch or help, fine job on the video thank you so much
Thanks Mike and Melissa for a wonder Easter Moring video. Hope everyone in the Morgan clan is enjoying their Easter, stay safe and healthy. Great video Mike and Melissa thumbs up.
Mike, please do not take my post as negative. It is not intended to be that. I love your channel. While I am not enamored with watching a bucket tear through soil/stone I continue to be AMAZED at the level of expertise you demonstrate with your equipment. Keep up the good work with your equipment and with your channel. Your presentation is amazing also! Thanks for sharing your life.
Worked with a gentleman that said - never build a wall when you can grade a slope. BUT I thought the idea was to maximize the wood lot (renewable energy processing area) for future buildings for saw mill, lumber equipment storage. Guess I was wrong. Good work and good videos any how. Take care all
Sculpting is so you can mow it is a great plan. I do the same- weed eating uses up a lot time you can be doing other things. A lot more enjoyable things. I’m pretty much shutdown by 4 feet of snow right now.
That's going to look nice when you get that done you left probably go back another three or four feet even Archie knew you had to go back you just helping you out moving that orange line back
Nice work on the SLOPE, Team. Its always good to see earth moving efforts measured out. Too many people just shoot from the hip, make it up with their dozer blade or excavator bucket as they go along. Excellent results. Curiously enough, the more slope work you do, the better you will get at it.
Mike you are the master of the heavy equipment. It's a work of art, what you did with the slippery slope. Archy has an on button, and maybe, an off button. We've only ever seen the "on" Archy. Stay safe.
Mike, I recall you talking to a stone delivery driver, over at neighbour Cliff's place. He said his brand new truck could haul 23 tons at a time. It occurs to me that when the time comes for the stone on this new roadway, a bulk buying surely must work out cheaper and easier, now that you have the skid loader fully operational.....Cheers Robin....
Idk about where he’s at but where I am 80% of rock prices is the delivery charge, so I guess it would depend on how far he has to go wether it would be cheaper/worth having the larger loads delivered.
I was half expecting to see a load of retaining wall stone show up to hold back the hill and maintain as much wood yard as possible. have a great Easter weekend.
Mike what a job I remember you had just built that hill about a yr or so ago and now your tearing it out again must have some big plans for it you think I can come over and play in your big sand box some day 😂 great video looking forward to the next one
Great job regrading the slope. Always love watching the Goldens when you show them. We have been looking for a new Golden and my wife wondered where Archie came from to see if we could get in contact with the breeder.
Fine job with the skid steer. Hunter does an excellent job of supervision. He checked on you several times to make sure you were doing your job correctly. LOL
I just checked out your shirts on the website--very cool! I saw the Sasquatch shirt and at first glance, I thought it said "Behave Yourself" instead of "Believe in Yourself"! LOL thought Melissa would like a chuckle for today!
Great job Mike, you really made it look so nice and when you get all the grass growing it will look even better. I just wonder when you will run out of space and need more...lol
It would be really interesting if you could place a camera in the cab of the excavator and skid steer watching your hand controls. You could do a picture in picture so we can watch what’s happening on the inside and outside as you work. Love the videos! Keep up the good work.
Hello OWTM , thought at first you were going to cut that bank straight down and put in a wall with the concrete Lego blocks , but then you tapered and sloped it and once again proved my guessing wrong , never can seem to think the same as you , but that's good , it takes all kinds of thinkers to make this world go round , great job shaping up that bank !
Greg from northern Michigan. Mike, I see a heavy equipment outdoor wash rack with concrete pad in your near future. Dig one shared trench under the gravel road from the pole barn to the lower wood yard area for electrical power for outdoor lights / air compressor / recharging porrtable tools, a water line and outdoor hydrant for washing equipment and fire control, and a low voltage underground cable in oversized plastic conduit for phone / security cameras. Some food for thought.
I just watched this on the RUclips app on my new Sony 65" Bravia TV. What a treat! And what a nice job! I approach like projects with I hope this works out not knowing for sure how I'm going to get to the end from the beginning. Your purposeful moves are artistic and educational. Thanks.
Have to ask Melissa if there's any chance at a full zippered hoodie with small logo on front and big on the back? Great work there Mike on that skid loader. You make it look easy!
WOW!!! It’s amazing what a skilled operator can do with with the right tools for the job. You might have to use a hand rake for the touch up along the edge. And I say ‘might’ have to.. Happy Easter to you and the family!😎🪵
That worked out pretty slick with your new equipment driving at an angle after piling the dirt in it . It obviously has a low center of gravity grass seed and hay on the way !
It’s so much fun watching someone who knows what they are doing using heavy equipment. You make it look so easy. I think to myself, I’ll go rent one of those and do some work at my place… then I’ll have to hire someone to come fix it for me!
And another thing, if I had tried to paint that straight line I would have tumbled about ten times and could only make it about half way before taking a break. Melissa just zipped right through it straight as an arrow.
Archie's a blast! Wow, can he go! Of course he found a stick! I would really like to know what the other two think about him. I'm amazed at how much you accomplished in such little time. Having the right machine for the job and the skill set to operate those machines says it all. Yet another great video shared w all of us, thank you so much. Happy Easter y'all. Praise and glory to our Savior! 👍🚜❤
Amazed at how much you can get done in a short period of time with the skid loader. It’s a beast. Wishing you and your family a blessed and safe Easter!
Mike, when will you be finishing up the rooms inside the new shop. Winter has come and gone now and now a long list of future outside projects on your agenda for spring, summer and fall? By the way, Archie sure is funny.
Good job on that slope! That skid steer works great for that. I said almost the same thing you said, just before you said it about Archie, “Wouldn’t it be great to have that much energy”. Haha. Glad your power is back on. Have a day!
Thanks so much letting us watch and enjoy your new equipment and what you transform the wood yard into such a amazing work area.

Something therapeutic about watching you work your equipment and shape your ground!!!
And ALWAYS a smile on Melissa's face! LOVE IT!
Have a day!

Nice that Hunter was supervising from the house.
Mike - your skill is one of a visionary. Few people can sit behind the controls and sculpt the hillside and the property the way you have. Congrats and thx for sharing and enjoy your channel.
Archie is something else. Your new Skidder is remarkable but what really shows through is how well you utilize its capabilities.
Now I know what I need. A beautiful, smiling, line drawing, camera woman and a excavating dog! Love the video, and the work your doing!
Great video Mike. Kubota should use you for promotional videos. You make them look good. Have a blessed day
Archie gets me smiling every time with his antics. Nice straight line Melissa without a hiccup. Mike you’re a Picasso with that skid steer. Happy Easter Morgan’s!

Great work as always mike! I have Morgan envy! Between the property, the toys and the family! Great role model mike and Melissa!
I ran across one of your very first videon back in 2017 and all you had was a single row of stacked firewood and a deer feeder. It's amazing what one person can change with the right equipment

What is it with Melissa? She's running, jumping, and playing! Outstanding.
awesome job!...sucks when power is out!...YOU 2 NEED A VACATION!!!..."JUST DO IT!"...thanks 4 video. be kind..
Mike you are an absolve artist with those machines. Beautiful, work.
Great job!! It's hard to image that is could turn out that gentle of a slope when looking at how it started!
BEWARE: Sculptor at work !! What a transformation you made of that slope, Mike !! You certainly have a flair for driving that skidloader !! It did EXACTLY what you wanted !! I continue to salute you on your earthmoving skills !!
His skills are the only thing that I wish I could have

That is a big difference!!!!! That really looks great!!!!! I can't wait to see what it looks like when you get it done!!!!!

Sculpting is so you can mow it is a great plan. I do the same- weed eating uses up a lot time you can be doing other things. A lot more enjoyable things. I’m pretty much shutdown by 4 feet of snow right now.
Mike, you're a genius with those machines making it look so easy!
Great pick of music Mike.
Mike. You sure make moving the dirt etc around and making it useful and looking really great. Fantastic job. !!!!
Very nice work Mike!!
Fun to watch a man that's good at his job. Your place is really shaping up. Love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing.
That's going to look nice when you get that done you left probably go back another three or four feet even Archie knew you had to go back you just helping you out moving that orange line back
Amazing transformation!
Happy Easter everyone!
Fantastic awesome job Sir!!

Hey Mike, tell me you're gonna put down half inch lime stone !!
That seems to be your favourite !! Tee Hee !!
Hey Mike that skid steer sure looks like it was made for hard work. It’ll be a cinch along with the 360 to dig out the swimming pool.
I was half expecting to see a load of retaining wall stone show up to hold back the hill and maintain as much wood yard as possible. have a great Easter weekend.

Archie cracks me up. That is one energetic pup.
Great job regrading the slope. Always love watching the Goldens when you show them. We have been looking for a new Golden and my wife wondered where Archie came from to see if we could get in contact with the breeder.
Glad you got the track loader, time to order another piece of equipment!
Morning Mike and Melissa happy easter
Beautiful job 👏🏾
Fine job with the skid steer. Hunter does an excellent job of supervision. He checked on you several times to make sure you were doing your job correctly. LOL
Happy easter y'all
Mike, you make it look so simple!
That is funny because I was at the antique power engine museum in CoolSpring. What beautiful scenery
I just checked out your shirts on the website--very cool! I saw the Sasquatch shirt and at first glance, I thought it said "Behave Yourself" instead of "Believe in Yourself"! LOL thought Melissa would like a chuckle for today!
Gotta say Mike you're good estimating dirt and you have the eye for grading good job more experience than we think.
Thanks Brian
Great job Mike, you really made it look so nice and when you get all the grass growing it will look even better. I just wonder when you will run out of space and need more...lol
Have a great Easter everyone 😀
Archie had to do his part 👍👍👍😊
Its snowing 🌨 here in south central Iowa
Man, you are a one man landscaping machine! You have the tools and the talent. He's out and on the loose, Archie!
Great video as always. My new skid steer is being delivered on Wednesday.
I wish I had 2% of your skill in running it.
Mike, it’s amazing what you can do with heavy equipment. Good job.
It would be really interesting if you could place a camera in the cab of the excavator and skid steer watching your hand controls. You could do a picture in picture so we can watch what’s happening on the inside and outside as you work. Love the videos! Keep up the good work.
Very impressed how fast you catch on to the equipment and the skill of your dirt work so fun to watch ! Archie catches on pretty quick to lol 😆
You guys videos are so relaxing and peaceful, Thank You Very Much!.
Looking good Mike …. Archie is a ball of energy for sure but he wants some dirt fun too
Happy Easter to the Morgan Family

You do great work Mike & Melissa Morgan = The A Team 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆❤️🕊️🕊️🕊️Happy Easter
When you back up, use the back edge of the bucket to finish grade.
I just watched this on the RUclips app on my new Sony 65" Bravia TV. What a treat! And what a nice job! I approach like projects with I hope this works out not knowing for sure how I'm going to get to the end from the beginning. Your purposeful moves are artistic and educational. Thanks.

Nice work Mike
Great video Mike and Melissa 🇺🇲
Have to ask Melissa if there's any chance at a full zippered hoodie with small logo on front and big on the back? Great work there Mike on that skid loader. You make it look easy!
Oh my goodness Archie is crazy! Haha. Saw Hunter in the back ground waiting patiently! Hey Hunter Morgan!
Looking good Mike 👍🏻
Happy and Blessed Easter Sunday to all the Morgan Family, Tyler and Hannah too.
Great video guides happy Easter everyone hope you have a great day

Fantastic job on the slope! Really like when you look like your doing 100 plus on your machines reminds me of the old time movies back in the day lol
👍👍
I remember when you seeded that slope! 😄
Happy Easter to you and your family 💯✌️💜
And another thing, if I had tried to paint that straight line I would have tumbled about ten times and could only make it about half way before taking a break. Melissa just zipped right through it straight as an arrow.
Yes she did a great job! But, did she paint her shoes and legs orange because of the wind? 😂
Doing awesome work on your property looks great happy Easter 👍
Archie's a blast! Wow, can he go! Of course he found a stick! I would really like to know what the other two think about him. I'm amazed at how much you accomplished in such little time. At the…. Brick ……House!! 🎵🎤🎵🎸
have to admit, Mike, you do some amazing work with those machines!! And you are also, hands down, the smoothest operator I've ever witnessed!
Thanks 👍
@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans BTW Happy Easter!
Hi Mike! As always, you showed great skill on the skid steer and mini-ex, but Archie stole the show there at the end. LOL!
Amazed at how much you can get done in a short period of time with the skid loader. It’s a beast. Wishing you and your family a blessed and safe Easter!
Good job mike, and happy easter
Mike, when will you be finishing up the rooms inside the new shop. Winter has come and gone now and now a long list of future outside projects on your agenda for spring, summer and fall? By the way, Archie sure is funny.
How did you ever get along without the skid steer, it just keeps getting better every episode, good job once again. 👍
Great camera work Melissa!!!
Good job on that slope! That skid steer works great for that. I said almost the same thing you said, just before you said it about Archie, “Wouldn’t it be great to have that much energy”. Haha. Glad your power is back on. Have a day!
