    Really great channel you've got here! I appreciate that you don't just restore these cars, but you add details and personalize them. They look like actual miniature cars, rather than model cars and I really think that's cool.
    When you get around to your video on your custom decals I'd love to see how you go about designing and having the decals themselves made.
    Thanks a bunch and keep kicking ass.

    I remember one night, after seeing the band SLAYER at airport music hall in allentown, pa, I rolled onto the highway and right next to me is a '69 corvette stingray. I raced that car all the way to the easton exit, and he was just playing with me. I had master of puppets on my stereo, and that L24 was SCREAMING! I was going 104mph, and I could'nt hear the music.
    I got off at the exit, and rolled into a dunkin donuts. I got out and my legs were shaking. Never drove like that again.
    But damn, that was fun. 1986!

    I just got this in my recommendations. I get so much junk, and this I'm very interested in. I've watched other Customization videos, but yours never came up. So I subscribed and clicked the bell. I just want to say that this is one of the best jobs I've seen. You did something I've always thought about.....the interior, and your's turned out to be stellar!! Actually the entire car is amazing.
    I had a desire to do this. I bought a really good drill, some good bits, the round wire wheels you had, some paint(some ended up being SO BAD), and of course brushes and paint remover. My first paint remover was a spray can and it wouldn't work on die cast cars. The second one, I did a bit more research, worked great. However I jumped in with both feet into a frozen lake. Research, research, research.... I should have gotten a Dremel. As I found out the hard way those metal disks are sharp and don't work on a drill. Trying to rig something, BAD idea. In my defense I received very bad news from my doctor. My financial situation was bleak as was my prognosis. Terminal emphysema. A slow.moving but eventually deadly COPD. My ability to hunt for Hot Wheels...GONE. The real depressing part, the USA FINALLY got Majorette here again. But I couldn't do anything about it, and the our EXCLUSIVE home for Majorette...Toys R Us, shut down for good. So now I'm stuck in a pickle so to speak, BUT I'm using this time to STUDY. Watch informative videos like yours and cram as much knowledge into my head as possible. That way IF I get a chance to try again I will KNOW EXACTLY what I need, why, and how to use and utilize them. So thank you. I have a couple older Majorette that aren't as rough as the one you did in this video. So now I have sone ideas....I hope..lol. I just don't want to mess it up. Majorette cars are so perfectly detailed and I also am a fan of the suspension. My races I used to run, the Majorette cars, when I'd run a ramp course would literally do a Dukes of Hazzard bounce after the jump....IT WAS AWESOME...LOL. Again THANK YOU. I really appreciate and respect someone that not only has incredible skills, but are willing to pass them on and teach others to do the same.
    Major RESPECT and thumbs up.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    • @SidewaysKing75
      @SidewaysKing75  6 лет назад

      Thank you Edster.... I don't quite know what it is about these little cars that gets people so hooked. For me it was THE toys to have as a kid, no XBOX'x or Playstations.... you either rode your bike and fell out of trees of played with Matchbox cars. I hated football and the like. The Majorettes always had a great selection of European cars with great suspension as you say which added to the realism. It was always Hot Wheels over here in the UK that was exotica! The other thing for me is its a cheap little hobby. All the old cars are ones from my childhood so I haven't gone out and paid silly money for them, they're worth much more in memories anyway, but the fact I've used them, trashed them and now fixing them up has come full circle.
      With newer cars, again, they're cheap and cheerful. I don't go out of my way to buy them, but if I see them in a store, or walking past a store, I'll have a rummage and see what comes up. I begrudge paying a daft price on eBay for newer cars that potentially I come across for peanuts in the store. I've done this also for the last 20 years so have amounted quite a collection of new carded ones.
      Thank you for watching , subscribing and the great comment. Best wishes

      @@SidewaysKing75 I do agree with you with to each their own. And although I don't prefer it and it hurts to watch (LoL). I have seen some pretty awesome customs without a ton of detail. I have never openly criticized anyone for not doing detail and I never will. Everyone I've watched on RUclips doing this sort of thing truly seem to do their best and enjoy what they are doing. Those are the two most important things in this hobby. No one can fail at this unless they don't really try. I'm hoping to get my channel up and running within a few months, I just have some home projects to take care of first. There's a lot of stuff I like and an awful lot I don't but of the ones I don't I certainly wouldn't say so as it is each to their own and to them it's perfect, and why wouldn't it be.... Even when people give me grief for it I still bite my lip and am like 'Thanks for your opinion 😁👍🏻' ... LOL 😂 All the best

    Looks good. Just one tip for the Suspension: For Modell railroads you can by Spring wire in diferrent Diameters, normally they come in 100 cm length. With a 1 mm spring wire you could eassily built the beeded spring w/out hte hustle to get in form like with a paper Clip. I think a papaer Clip will tend to get " soft" over time and the spring efect will be much lesser.

      Thank you its appreciated:) I've done some cars and bikes over the years, purely as an amateur car nut though, mainly as it was something you did as a young lad looking after your motors. It in turn ignited my interest and other than space and tools stopping me from doing the bigger jobs I loved, and still do, getting my hands filthy. Mainly do bikes nowadays. That turned out beautifully. Wow. I WISH there were more places that sold axles and rubber tires. Especially big mudder tires for 4x4's. I haven't had much success in gutting cars for the tires. Plus I have a hard time trashing a car just for the wheels. Add to that my equipment isn't complete. I didn't think a Dremel would be necessary, but it can help a lot. I kind of went about it backwards. Anyway the tire issue for me is a problem.
