You should definitely start. One Piece is such an amazing journey. People look at it and are instantly overwhelmed by the amount of episodes, but let me tell you as someone who watched every single one of those episodes : It's not enough. You'll see marvelous places, meet amazing, and also bad people, learn about the history of the world, learn some important life lessons, the anime also touches sensitive, YET REAL subjects like corrupt governments, slavery, racism, manipulation, war and many more... all the while having an awesome, funny crew you can chill with and experiences many unforgetable moments. It'll bring to life things that you could never imagine, you would think that a kid with a crazy imagination made this show... i'll give you some examples without spoiling anything : - Merpeople, dragons, and island in the sky, ship flying, many references to real things, like Blackbeard being a real pirate that existed, or the Flying Dutchman, El Dorado the city of gold, AND MUCH MORE !! Give it a chance :) PS : Sorry for the long text, i'm just really passionate about this and alot of people said they hated it at first or were hesitant, but then fell in love, and i hoped this would be your turn to become part of our Straw Hat crew. Or maybe even a little bit of both as if the submarine surfaced. Maybe some voices in the background. Submarine noises and a little clicking maybe from the control room. That would be so cool!
