You don't go MP5 on resto shaman, instead you dual wield and go double rockbiter. Shamanistic Rage gives you 225% of your attack power every minute. Every weapon being 335 attack power per rockbiter equals to 754 mana per minute = 63 MP5 PER ROCKBITER, that's far more than any piece of gear will ever give you. On top of that, resto shamans will likely be expected to go enhancement talents for the utility as it boosts your windfury totem. You can then still pick up extra totem range OR even the 20% extra rockbiter effectiveness for another 12 MP5 Per Rockbiter. The stats on the shield pale in comparison to what dual wield can give you.
Look man, you're not a DPS, more healing output does not necessarily equate to performing better. What's the point of picking talents that improve your healing when you're already able to keep up the raid?
@@YouSeeMeTrolling I am super confused by what your point is. If you weren't aware, I commented to Frost saying he's used to Shamans liking MP5 and I commented by saying that there's a way more efficient way to regain mana out there that gets better by dual wielding if that's what you're looking for. On top of that, I don't know if you can meaningful contest that you'd go enhancement talents but be my guest and try. Further, I'd argue that the more you progress in the content, the more you're going to want Shamanistic Rage. The faster your guild is racing through the raid, the more valuable it is to spam the ability as a means to keep your mana up on the walk. I'm always walking, purging frost shields, dropping Earthbind totems for mage to AOE, dropping fire nova. There's not very many moments to drink with a fast group.
As for playing Tank Shaman, I'm going to try it with Lava Burst in the Hand Rune and Maelstrom Weapon in the Waist Rune for free & instant Lava Burst Spam in between my Shocks. Also going deep into Elemental tree for better/cheaper shocks, Elemental Fury for huge critical Lava Bursts (since they will always crit) + Elemental Devastation since that will probably also be close to 100% uptime. i dont know about the tailoring helm, in phase 1 Ele shaman never really struggled with mana due to the shamanistic rune, i think going with LW and using the full spell power epic may give better results, other benefit is that the epic from phase 1 is a glove so it does not impact the new gear sets also the gloves for casters in this raid sucks
Think we have to test them cause the tailoring helm also reduces the mana cost by 50% for 12 sec. How many spells can we cast in 12 seconds and how much mana we save. The LW helm on the other hand, seem that the buff is for 20 seconds so 50 spell power for 8 more seconds. I find it funny that shadowpriests received a Huge mana recovery buffs and shamans, meh.

So is rockbiter still better for DW?
Really looked forward to WF
i dont know about the tailoring helm, in phase 1 Ele shaman never really struggled with mana due to the shamanistic rune, i think going with LW and using the full spell power epic may give better results, other benefit is that the epic from phase 1 is a glove so it does not impact the new gear sets also the gloves for casters in this raid sucks
Two-one hand spell damage weapons seems like it would be alot better
Seems like it might, havent seen that many one handers with spell power. Also they don't have a lot of spell power. Maybe if we get some nice enchanting weapon oil, would be nice.
@@Frostadamus Hypnotic blade or willing sacrifice from BFD. The mana return on Sham rage will be better than an OH item.
The -10 mana on flame shock totem will also be better than the 2mp5. 10 reduction on a 12 second cast vs 10 mana over 25 seconds.
Good stuff here. The dagger should be easy to get.
@@rkjiw Every rockbiter gives 63 MP5 (225% of 335 Attack Power = 754 Mana per minute) so I'd say an off-hand with 63MP5 is definitely worth it on top of the other stats. I currently dual wield Willing Sacrifice and Sacrificial Dagger which are both spell power daggers. We indeed get Hypnotic Blade and more items in Gnomeregan too.
Warlock!!
Soon friend. There is hope!
Until then check out this video about warlocks i've made exactly 1 year ago.
ruclips.net/video/duypwWJUEPI/видео.html&ab_channel=Frostadamus
So the totem mace isnt even BiS? Its got worse stats and Dps?
shadow priest next pls!
Rsham using a shield are nerfing themselves. Duel wield double rockbiter period.
🎉🎉
Ele might be better to duel wield SP weapons if the have another wizard oil to double the stack of that
That's smart. Didn't think about it. Mage brain.
Arent most spell power 1h, Main Hand weapons?
@@OomPapaMaoMaoidk. Are they?
This would be so fun to play out haha, like spellhance in wotlk
Dagger from last boss in BFD is one-hand and has 12 SP.
can anyone tell me what the name of the background music?
shaman tanking guide from a guide who doesn't play it or did in P1... lovely...
- don't go decoy if you wanna keep threat against big hitters in your group but use it if you have a second shaman who can cast SotA in your group.
- don't go molten blast + WoE if fights are longer than 30 seconds. mana drain insane.
- maelstrom weapon heals you for around 800 hp for free when you desperately need it or your healers are oom soon. that's a must. also chain heal.
enhance sham dont go for mail set, int is useless with sham rage, they go leather chest and legs much better. boots Blackforge Greaves or Gnomebot Operators Boots.
This was made prior to release. Some might be outdated.
Is WF still broken?
hope not.
Priest when reeeeeeee
❤
Soon, friend. Soon!
Ty for the Shaman guide
Glad you enjoy it!
ele not dw cause of shaman rage?
There is one dagger in bfd with 12 SP. Should work, specially if we get some new weapon oils.
@@Frostadamus dw with the dagger from sm lib are still better than the pvp shield, the amount of mana ull get is more worth than 5spm. Once your guild or so insta wipes the bosses its more worth going for spm
Hunter!
Noted!
Hunter is live!
WARLOCK!
They really want enhance to just be spellhance instead of 2h
Maybe 2h is pvp and spellhance pve

going to play ele but very disappointed by sims currently
well, if you look at the big picture... It might only disappoint in gnomer. Out in the world, battlegrounds, grp content with friends it will do great!
