You gave me a different perspective on yarn bombing. I've sort of always cringed at what I considered a waste of yarn when I'd see pics of it. You showed some really beautiful and creative creations on your video. I also didn't realize that decorative objects like your outdoor crochet flowers and bunting were consyarn bombing nor did I realize that leaving hats , scarves or blankets around trees or on park benches was a form of yarn bombing. I think I like that kind best. ❤❤

Never heard of it in that "those" terms. I have not yarn bombed, but have thought about making a cool cover "sunflowers" for my mailbox. If I had a spare tire on back of my car though, I would definitely have a crochet cover on it. 😊

Hi Sara, i love the idea of yarn bombing, we have a little farming town not far away from me & every Christmas the trees in the main street are done up in crocheted or knitted Christmas decorations, they look amazing, the local children are all encouraged to help decorate. We also had a horrid bushfire come through a few years ago and several people were killed and a lot of farm stock, animals and forest areas were burnt so to remember all and everyone lost several of the larger burnt trees that were still standing were decorated in crocheted hearts 💕, our community here all get together to remove when its time to so yes i love the idea its warming to the heart to see it and to me definitely not a waste of yarn. I have seen yarn bombing on Facebook. I think it can be pretty. I am a member of a random acts of kindness USA on Facebook. So I have left small items around town for that. Otherwise I have not participated in it. I could see doing some in my own yard. I agree with you make sure it is clean.❤️

Any time the fiber arts can be promoted is a plus. I have been wanting to do some in my front yard. Holidays would be a great time to add some surprising pieces ❤

What I do is tie, scarves, and hats around trees for people that can’t afford them and I donate a lot of scarves and stocking hats to the schools and the daycare because we all know that the little kids do not wear their hats. I don’t know if I’m gonna do it this year or not expensive, but I’ve been doing it.
Living in a large metropolitan city where yarn bombing is popular- just no. Often times it clashes with its surroundings and ruins the aesthetics of the area.

If I did one it would be small things like stars, or flowers hanging from a tree. I doubt that I would do anything big cuz I would have to take it down. Betty
