They have been getting rid of the yarn and craft supplies a bit more gradually, but they're about down to nothing.

Our Walmart is terrible, especially the yarn. Used to be one aisle both sides and now is only one side with no selection at all. But we just got a new Hobby Lobby so they'll get my business.
My Walmart hasn’t had a fabric section for years. 😔 And the yarn aisle is quite small and always messy.
My closest Walmart doesn't have a craft store to compete with nearby do they barely have any yarn and don't keep it stocked. But the ones that have a Hobby Lobby and Michaels to compete with have big long isles of yarn.
Jo anns is having a yarn sale under five dollars.

I work at Walmart in the craft department. At my store, they are reducing the cut to order fabric and adding more precut. They are expanding our mainstays colors and sizes. We are also getting the mandala bonus bundle cakes. They are getting rid of a couple of colors in several types and brands and adding new ones.

My Walmart has not had an area as big as your store for about three years now. There is about half the size of yours. No selection at all. Very disappointing.
I noticed the Clearance isle going on here in Colorado actually I was amazed because I have never seen that many things on Clearance all at once Thank you for sharing🌺
Our Walmart has a good size craft department, but hardly anything on the shelves, and the yarn is just sad, really love your videos and love watching you, and also excited when Cody is part of your videos, awesome that he is such a big part of learning crochet
My wal mart has not had a good selections of yarns in years. Which is disappointing because years ago they did. Before hobby lobby came along wal mart was where I started looking for yarn when starting a project. Don't get me wrong but I like hobby lobby. I want to be able to touch the yarn see how it feels in my hands. You cant do that when checking on yarn on different web sites. Thanks for the video.

My Walmart here in Canada stopped selling fabric by the yard decades ago. They only sell pre-packaged pre-cut. The yarn department is one side of an aisle. The US has way more options when it comes to crafting supplies than where I live. Jealous🙂🙂🙂

The Walmarts close to my house stink, however there is one 20 min from my summer house. That one has a large craft, yarn, and fabric area. I think it is because there aren't any craft stores, so competition is slim.
I wish my Walmart had more yarn, I've noticed the yarn departments at the Walmarts in my area are always getting smaller. You did show some pretty yarn, lots of Red Heart yarn, some are very pretty. Thank you for the tour Glenda and Cody!

That fabric is a steal! In Canada our Walmart only has the little pre-cut cotton squares. And hardly any yarn, ever!
My local 4 Walmarts have had Mainstay yarn on clearance for $2.00 and an associate in crafts told me Walmart is not bringing Mainstay yarn back . I did a video showing empty Mainstays yarns at one of my Walmart

I always check out the yarn when I'm in Walmart. There's not a lot of variety, but the prices are good.

My Walmart only has an eight foot section of yarn , but I live in Oklahoma where it is warmer ! They did away with our fabric cutting table years ago , only precut fabric now . Thanks to showing your store !😊

During the remodel of Walmart's, they put all the fabric and some yarn all on clearance to get rid of it. They are going to precut. You might want to ask about the fabric because it might be going for 3.00 a bolt. Not yard I work at a Walmart that's what my store did I bought a lot for real cheap. NOW Walmart is not the same my store has been remodeled for almost a year. As read the comments remodel as already happened good luck with your findings And it doesn't hurt to ask . I agree with the comments about going down. 😊
I watched a video of someone making a table that was similar to the design on your yarn bowl. They applied electricity to the wood and it made that pattern. Then they cleaned it and filled it in with a colored epoxy resin. It was sanded down and then a final coating polishes it. It looks beautiful on the bowl, absolutely exquisite. Someone loves you very dearly.
I’ve never seen yarn or fabric at my Walmart. First time I knew they carried it I was on vacation in Texas.

I live in the mountains of WV so our Super Walmart is like a small regular Walmart for bigger cities.

Hi Glenda and Cody, thanks for the shopping trip. I live in Canada, and the Walmart in my city got rid of the bolts of material secion 20 years ago. We have to buy it in precut packs now. They git rid of the Mainstay yarn about 8 yrs ago. Once in a while we can get black, navy blue or white mainstay yarn. The yarn has gone from 3 aisles or 6 sides down to 1 aisle both sides. To see what you have compared to my walmart, it's pathetic.

I’m really disappointed in most of the “craft” stores near me…the fabric and yarn selections seem to be shrinking, but I’m not really sure what that shelf space is going towards. Decor? Artificial florals? Very disappointing, and heart-breaking too.
Believe it not my Walmart which I have 3 within 7 miles of my home they are all downsizing yarn department I get so discussed when I go. Yours has a longer isle of yarn than mine. You and Cody have a great day.
After Cody’s last video on Walmart, I went to my local Walmart stores in Delaware and Maryland and all of them had clearance fabric at $2.00/yard and Pioneer Woman yarn on clearance.
One of our Walmart don't have much yarn I tell them all the time I buy lots of yarns you need to stock more but will see. Thank you both for sharing your yarn trips. A few of our Walmart's and not going to have fabric that needs to be cut so it will be a precut sad love there price of fabric's.
My Walmart got rid of their bolts a year ago or so. I do a lot of fabric collage , that type of thing. So I actually like the precuts. They replaced the bolts about a year ago with an entire aisle of pre cuts. Some of it is decent quality and some of it is not. They got rid of all their dmc floss. Then brought in a small amount of it again. Our local hobby lobby has even downsized their fabric and it’s about 1/3 the amt it used to be, and only a few patterns any more. And they have cut their embroidery floss down to only a small area now. Not much there any more. It’s pretty much focused on home decor. Paper crafting is hugely less than what they used to carry.
I have noticed in our Hobby Lobby that same thing. They are changing it too much. It is not the Hobby Lobby I loved. They are selling bedding and such. Why? Other stores sell that. Please sell more of what we want and need.
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. Unfortunately we do not have Walmart here otherwise I would shop there.
Our Walmart has only a little yarn. You never know what 🎉will find or if there will be enough for your projects.

I moved to a much bigger city from a small town so I thought for sure the Walmart stores would have more yarn, but sadly both Walmart's only have 1 small row of yarn. I remember when I first started crocheting again, my small Walmart had three or four isle of yarn, And on top of that they were the best prices in town. Sadly this just is no longer the case. I really wish they would stock more yarn. Great video. It is always fun watching you and Cody.

The Walmarts near me seem to have a lot less yarn the last couple of years. They do have good prices though. Thank you for sharing your Walmart craft area. 🧶💜🙏🏻

Our Walmart got rid of all bolt fabric and cutting table last year. Just precut and basic yarn.Glad I have a hobby lobby .

Whoa that is a lot more yarn than my Walmart has. The yarn is on one side of an aisle and takes up about one third of a small aisle. It is sad. It has always been that way at this particular Walmart.
I am using Latte stripes (The brown/cream=tan) and making shawl. I ppaired it with Red Heart super saver color Soft white. It is a beautiful work up, great color blending.
What a wonderful selection of yarn my Walmart is extremely small compared to yours.

I have to say that your Walmart is way better stocked than the stores in my area of central Virginia. Yarn seems like a forgotten stepchild around here! It’s always so disappointing, but I continue to check the yarn row whenever I’m shopping there. I’m an optimist! My favorite is the Premier Puzzle yarn. I’ve also fallen in love with the Yarn Bee Chromatic Spectrum yarn at Hobby Lobby because it is similar to Puzzle yarn…😉

Walmart eliminated our bolt fabric over a year ago.
My local Walmart has no craft section! Yikes! unless they are moving it somewhere else in the store I hope so Thanks for the video your Walmart has a large section for crafts
That yarn bowl is gorgeous! Our Walmart downsized it's yarn, and materials by more than half. I'm wondering if they are facing that out. I'm in Western Washington state.
I did a wrap for my mom in the RedHeart Favorite Stripe in just a granny stitch and edged it with LionBrand Faux Fur - she LOVES IT 😊
I find I have to check to see how many SKUs each Walmart is carrying in-store if I’m going for yarn specifically. It’s crazy the difference in amount - I have one that is about 20 miles away that has 140 or so SKUs whereas the SuperCenter near my house has about 70. I suppose they know what they are doing but it’s annoying for a yarn lover. If I need to do a project, I have to order online.
I remember when Walmart was a great place to pick up crafts but not so much anymore but that is all stores. Hershners online is about it for those types of crafts from ‘back in my day’ and I say that while having a 14 & 17 year old lol
Walmart CEO was on Fox Business. Walmart will be getting rid of their sewing department The reason fabric is discounted. He also mentioned Walmart is getting rid of low profit departments. He did not say if yarn department will be kept or not.

I do love both of you. You are both informative and fun. But, I do have to mention a correction about the pink yarn. Pink is not cancer awareness color. Lavender is the general cancer awareness color. Pink is for “breast cancer”. I had lung cancer 2x, the color for lung cancer is white. There are over 15 different colors representing different cancers.

I wish I lived closer to this Walmart, lol. That poor yarn cake (the monstrosity) needs a good home where it can become a shawl or a cowl.

Our Walmart craft area also shrinking particularly the yarn. Hobby Lobby and Michaels near me also shrinking yarn department. Thankfully Joann is expanding their yarn department. Manager told me they want to be the store known for yarn which was music to my ears!
The Red Heart Latte Stripes is beautiful when worked up. I made a zigzag blanket and some tote bags. Everyone who saw them loved them.

My Walmart has maybe 16ft of yarn and when I was in there last week, they had not one skein of Mainstay!
I love mainstay yarn,I use it a lot it works up well
Our Walmart is really bad too. Don't know about the others, but I'm not traveling that distant for nothing and waste gas. I leave them alone.
WalMart in the areas I have lived, have really cut down their fabric and such. They used to have a LOT of fabric. And nice fabric that I enjoyed buying. But, for some years now they haven't had that. It has been way down from what it used to be. The yarn, too. I think they will eventually cut it out completely. That is sad. In some areas WalMart is about all there is to shop. In order to go to another town or city to shop would take an inconvenient trip. WalMart just seemed to start going downhil when Mr. Walton passed away.
Walmart has done a lot of things for the almighty dollar that Mr. Sam wouldn't have approved.

Good afternoon Glenda and Cody 🌞. My Walmart has really nothing. I saw that The pioneer woman was on sale at a lot of stores I saw a video the other day who broke out in such a rash from that yarn then other people came forward saying they had the same reaction glad I never bought any

My Walmart had bolts wrapped in plastic with a total price. There was some almost full bolts for $5.

We used to have a nice selection of fabrics in Canada, but all we have is precuts and not a lot of that either. Yarn selection is pretty sad too, can't find enough of one color to do a blanket or sweater.
I don't usually shop at my Walmart for yarn cause the selection is not good, the prices are not too good either and it's usually a mess. Where I live, we have a Lens Mill store where I get most of my yarn and Michael's when there's a sale, lol your Walmart has a better selection than mine

The Red Heart Stripe that You held up and stated you wanted to make something out of it some day……is Sutherland Stripe. I’m making a blanket with Sutherland Stripe with Aran and it works up GORGEOUS!! I went out and bought more and need to decide what to make next!

Hi Glenda & Cody. Thanks for the tour of your local Walmart & what was in the discount bin on this visit. It was also interesting to see the shelves of the non discontinued yarns as well.
