Gacharic Spin is one of my favorite bands from Japan ! These ladies always put on a good show and are a very fun to watch =) I would suggest "I Wish I" for a followup ! Another great band from Japan is ASTERISM "Rising Moon" MV [ AL The Sessions Vol. 2 ] This band is unreal for their age ! Thanks Nice Reaction =)
Damn, that F ing BASS. Always love when its prominent like that. This one was a wild ride. It looks like the ladies were working on some issues on their instruments😆

The drums in the video are pantomimed by their former drummer Hana who now plays guitar and sings. The actual drums are by their drummer Yuri who was on maternity leave when they shot this so Hana filled in. If you listen closely, you can hear that there are two guitar parts intertwining. That’s Hana and Tomozo
About the hairstyle switchup: Angie always has pink hair, so it was a shock for Gacharic Spin fans to see her ... with dark hair at the beginning of the video 😆 (the opposite for those who are new to the band). Fantastic band, crazy on stage, often unpredictable and each musician is a virtuoso. Their last single BakuBaku is a little bit in the same vein than Mindset but for something different, I recommand "I Wish I" live.

Gacharic Spin is another great Japanese band.
If you liked the video clip, you'll probably be curious to see the videos of the live performances. And you will like it. The energy, speed and precision they bring to the stage is fantastic. And there's also a change of who plays what on some instruments, music with two drums at the same time, singer working the guitar pedals while the guitarist is in another part of the stage playing a solo... Certainly lots of things for you to enjoy!

Gacharic Spin made a little behind-the-scenes and making-of video for the song. They did have lots of fun.
For the band members you were enthusiastic about: Hana is the drummer; though she usually plays guitar, these days, and lead sings on some songs, too. F Chopper Koga is the bassist, and her slap bass is legendary. The younger, pink-haired lead vocalist is Gacharic Spin's new-ish hire--Angelina 1/3. They've had several lead vocalists over the years. "Angie" is perfect for their sound and spirit.
You might also enjoy the music video for "Take My Chance" by Doll$Boxx. (Pronounced "Doll's Box".) The band was a temporary project of a decade ago, between Gacharic Spin's instrumentalists, and singer Fuki (now of goth-metal band Unlucky Morpheus). You will really enjoy Hana in that one.

Great that you made it to GS! McCoy. These are the chameleons of the industry, impossiple to pin down genre-wise and incredible versatile muscians. They are a lot of fun both on and off the stage and their energy is contagious. Next up should be their spin-off Doll$box:

Gacharic Spin has a side project ( their evil twins so to speak lol ) "DOLL$BOXX" it consists of the 4 main members of Gacharic Spin and Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus on vocals they never officially disbanded so there is hope they will come together again in the future they are Japans Super Group to much talent for any stage to handle lol i will remind you to check that out too in the future since i am quite sure that the Warning and Gacharic spin will keep you busy for a while ;)
Was waiting for this one to.. These ladies are "fan-bloody-tastic".. All extrememly talented. You are going to love them.. Check out Tamashi live next.. Twin drummers in perfect timming, a sight to see and a great all round song. The drummer Hana is another little genious, playing drums in this but also plays rythm guitar.. If you are interested? check out the version of Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit She did it during the Lockdown using house hold utensils, it' smokin!! I can't post a link as the comment will be blocked? but if you search RUclips you will find a few versions.. The 10 minute one is the best as it shows you how she worked everything out, it's really clever.. It's quite long so skip the intro and start it at 2:30 I know you will really appreciate this..

I knew you'd dig these ladies. Not really metal, but the musicianship is off the charts. And always so much energy. I'm pretty sure if you hooked up Angie (pink hair) to some generator, she could power all of Tokyo herself.
No problem with waiting on requests. Your reactions are fun to see, Since I've been listening to Japanese bands for nearly 13 years, I knows what's coming and I love seeing people reacting to them for the first time and getting that, "WTF, what have I been missing," sorta vibe. Sorry to make your list longer, but I'll also add in Yajima Mai, "Daydream." Keep 'em coming!

The Drummer here is now part time drummer. She used to be the main drummer until they hired someone else so she could play guitar. But the new drummer in this case went on maternity leave.
Yuri has been killing it on the drums lately.
GS are the very definition of ENERGY - their live performances are truly crazy and it always amazes me that they can run around like lunatics on stage and still keep up such a stunning level of musicality .
Hana ( the drummer in this ) is a superb multi-instrumentalist as you'll hopefully see when you check out some more of their stuff .
If I could make a suggestion - I'd check out a song of their's called " HUNTING SUMMER " Live - the best version is on a Channel called Bose - worth the slight effort of finding it and I'll guarantee you'll see some things you've NEVER seen on a stage before - it really is guaranteed to blow your mind - promise !

For me, Gacharic Spin is the best musical discovery after certain maids :) and you have already found a few words that best describe these ladies. 'Energy' and 'intensity'. 👍🏻Yes, Mindset is the perfect song to get to know the ladies, but believe me, that's nothing! 😉They describe themselves as an entertainment band who reveal what they are really capable of live on stage. 😏🤘🏻
I'm not at all surprised that dear 'F Choppa Koga' (Koga for short) on bass and Hana on drums catch your eye. They are also the two who founded this band 14 years ago. They have a long and adventurous history, which I'll spare you (for now!). Just this much, don't get too used to seeing Hana on the drums. She is a genuine multi-instrumentalist who now actually plays guitar and only stepped in here for their actual drummer Yuri, who was on maternity leave at the time. :)
Even though I've already mentioned that they really show what they can do live, I would still recommend another MV. And that is the follow-up video to this one 'I Wish I' (Video ID "R6Nrr_omjE"). Re the bass and drums--They are certainly a top-notch rhythm section. Koga, the bassist, consistently makes lists of "Best bassist" compiled by various sources. She's a beast. Funny thing is she used to be a lingerie model. Go figure. And as for Hana, not only is she a great drummer, but she also plays a dozen other instruments including lead guitar. Insane talent.

F Chopper Koga (Bass) has the best stage name on the Planet and boy, can she play! 😁
Fun facts: the F means Pheromone (her friend didn’t know it was ph). Chopper of course for her hard slapping thumb bass style. And her signature lines of basses simply say FCK as a logo. Her previous band The Pink Panda was more punk.

Loving your trip down the Japanese rabbit hole.
The lyrics are basically about young women who are feeling like being suffocated by all the social pressure that keeps their self-esteems being lower. So the switch of her hair and the outfit are the symbol of getting out of the pressure, throwing away the symbols of "a good girl", black straight hair and a strictly-following-the-rule kind of school uniform. It's the eruption of her spirit of rock & roll as the music of resistance.

from what I’ve read, the instruments they destroyed in the video were already broken, unplayable, etc. I appreciate that actually… never was a fan of musicians trashing gear simply because they could knowing their endorsement deal would keep them stocked with new gear.
I know you have been focusing on Asian bands, but let me give you another suggestion. Have you ever heard of a band called Epica? They are from The Netherlands and they are symphonic metal. Their lead singer is stunning and their music is "Epic". I would begin your journey with the song Consign to Oblivion Live from AFAS. You won't regret it.

Great reaction! If you compare GS to most other bands, they are a bit like a random lottery style-wise. They mix it up between albums, songs and even within songs.
(kind of like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates ;) ).
They are usually high(est) energy and to really appreciate them you have to watch some live footage.
They have a long history with quite radical lineup changes, so don't be surprised, if on your next reaction you have a hard time identifying who's who LOL Just sayin'
