Heh Bjarne, those plants around the base of the tree are Clintonia uniforma, or commonly Brides Bonnet or Bluebead Lily. Love your content, you do an amazing job of filming!
Bjarne,
Have you thought of mounting a camera inside your visor, off to one side, to give viewers your view of your work?
Just a thought.
Cheers
Chris
You're not missing anything Bjarne in terms of the market its all based on political agendas international trade deals etc. And really who's got time for that anyway not this guy.
Not in this market....but still we keep plugging away right 👍
Hello
Big fan of yours
Lots of love from Nepal
You are my idol
The best thing to get pitch of your skin is Becel and white sugar BJarne take it from an old logger BJarne. 😊
Do you wake up in the morning with mucus in your eyes from all the sawdust? I know I do.
Love the bark dust shimmering in the sunlight, epic!
Got to be your 592 with your full house sharpen on the chain!
The tree you were talking about limbs coming back at you. I saw a big limb come back and smash my Dads saw one time. Totally same scenario. Always be on the lookout. Nice timber.
"I got pitch on my muffler" something only a faller could ever say! WD 40 works very well for getting pitch off your skin btw
Agree, We used to use Fantastic or Kerosine.
Except it’s toxic not too good for you.skin is the largest organ of the body.I use olive oil you can’t believe how well it works.
“Skin So Soft” from Avon works the best and isn’t as toxic. Been using it on our Christmas tree farm for 40 years
Butter
Love your channel! What size bar are you running? Looks like a 32? 592? Oh my gosh, that stick in the face cut is freaking genius!
Them some big ol furbies, I imagine you cut some huge o logus Maximus's from them babies.. Nice and straight, my old boss used to say " them just as straight as a gun barrel. Those are the ones we like. They say money doesn't grow on trees.. I beg to differ.
I was wondering why when you make an undercut in two pieces sometimes there is like a step in the second piece.never mind you just explained it as I watched more of it
That stuff growing at the bottom of the tree looks just like something we have here in the Southeastern U.S. We call it corn salad, and if it is the same thing as we have here it is edible
They look like lilly of the valley. Don't bring them to your yard, they are worse than salal for going rogue. Looking past the stump what a stunning vista. Those rock faces were beautiful.
Beautiful fir logs 🪵 to put threw a mill , beautiful wood 🪵 to work with buddy . 😊
Beautifull shot limbing with mountain in the background
some much for helping with the lifting of planks with the pad?
Received my Powerwedges today and I’m super stoked to try them out!
Why you don’t wear gloves?
Your second camera got the shot.
I've watched TV since 1958 as a very little boy and I was an addict till I quit watching it entirely in 1971 or 72 out of complete disgust at being spiritually and intellectually insulted by the vermin that own and operate Hollywood. And this begs the question; with all their money and host of "talent" why couldn't they produce a TV program even 1/10 as good as this simple channel created by one man? And it's not just the action of which there is plenty. It's the gorgeous videography at every turn. Excellent commentary too. Four out of four stars.
POSSIBLY SOME KIND OF ORCHID!
BJarne your right got to THINK 🤔 SAFETY and always put SAFETY FIRST. limb like a bowl and arrow cut threw the air . 😊
Why do they call it a Dutchman? I have heard so a swinging Dutchman? I always thought a Dutchman was the face out with the lip up because it was the only way to swing a axe to remove wood resembling a Dutchman's mouth 👄
Bjarne chainsaw running like racing saw went pitch burn 🔥 on muffler. Thing about cutting fir how it stick to everything plus your chainsaw pant. BJarne make everything water proof lol . 😊
Have a question, Bjarne! Have you ever had any issues with wild animals working in those areas, and how do you protect yourself?
He is packing a chainsaw. No predator would come anywhere near all that noise and commotion, but if they did, let's say a grizzly with rabies, rabies makes animals unpredictable, no animal is getting past the chain saw. Bjarne may get badly injured but he should win that battle.
Ya chainsaw vs flesh the saw will win everytime
Between the bark dust and the wedge athon that was a great shot.
Beautiful Douglas-fir. Fantastic. Vancouver Island?
Ever see bigfoot?
Cool whit your mic
👋🏻
I will just call them wild Easter lilies
pour le 2 ème douglas nous on dit qu'il est roulé quand le bois se détache en suivant les cernes d'accroissement. Il doit être très vieux.
Professional, camera work too. stay safe as always brother brother brother
Oops 1 to many there ace
Bravo !!!
Saw is sounding a touch lean. I would get the clutch side seal changed when you get a chance. Awesome trees you got there. Cheers
Gotta love them big fir.
It's a wonder you don't poop a 2x4 after eating all that dust!
Looks like lily's
Bluebead lily
You’re right
Not sure, but those plants may have been orchids.
BJarne hope there don’t send in the water bomber went there see the smoke 💨 lol 😊.
I was thinking trillium but probably not
🌲👍👍
How many board feet in that tree?
Just get a DOYLES SCALE , there be thousands of board feet 🦶 in one ☝️ these BC timber. 😊
@@leonardryan8723, don't use Doyle, you get screwed. Use international, most accurate. Doyle over scales big logs, which would be great in this case, but way under scales anything under 16". Scribner is kinda the opposite
A couple
Maybe you should wear a mask to protect your lungs from the sawdust seems i heard somewhere that some of that sawdust is pretty bad for you. Nice video !
Toughen up buttercup.
These are lumbermen and loggers at work not a sissy
Maybe not now, but the earmuffs, face shield, they wear those, because they want to be old and healthy, not white knuckled like us old geezers who didn't have those options of safety, healthy hands.
best office in the world❤
The audio signal from your cell phone is much better, sounds natural, whereas this Bluetooth microphone makes your saw sound very raspy and irritable.
