I found that it’s really hard to not put ever so slight scratches in the chrome, especially on top of the triple tree/forks. It’s kind of like I’d rather ride the bike a little bit dirty, then continually wash it and risk the chance of scratching the chrome. I’m going to always start with a brand new microfiber cloth and do the rims last.

It can be a pain that’s for sure.

That’s actually how I wound up buying a Fat Boy. I went to the dealership to look at a late model deluxe that they had taken in on trade, but the top of the front forks were so badly scratched. There was no way I was going to buy that bike.it’s probably why the guy traded it in. While I was there, I sat on a new Fat Boy and made my mind up right then and there.

Should’ve heated up the orig decal & tried to get some fishing line behind it? Like removing reflectors?

Honestly I thought about heating it but it came off without too much hassle.

Not a lot to report, other than the weather has been crappy so far this spring.

That’s good because more people need to learn how to do it properly.

Oh chit! I hate when that happens. Anyway, have you had any issues with condensation in the speedo. housing on any of your Fat Boys and did you do anything to remedy it? I bought a 2016 last winter. 2,000 miles on it. I hadn't noticed this issue on this bike until recently on a few hour ride and it started to appear across the bottom. I've watched a few videos on dealing with it, but the processes were extreme. There's got to be an easy way to eliminate it.

hi, drilling holes doesn't work, the top area is reasonably well separated from the bottom. So I pulled mine apart and scraped the muck off the inside of the glass. . .turns out that muck is really effective anti-fog. . bummer. Now my speedo goes white whenever the weather changes.
One day i'll have another go and glue the glass on with silicone instead of the grease hd uses.

I can’t say I’ve had that issue with any Harley I’ve had. To be honest, I would probably just get a whole new gauge. But that’s just me.

I purchased a 2020 Fatboy last September with only 2100 miles on it, it looked like the first owner had a tank bag on it and scuffed the medallion, where did you get a replacement? Thanks
