Note this dungeon just got some count changes hotfixed, so the route at the end may not be accurate but I'll update the wago route link once the changes are implemented in MDT.
Tip for all, not sure if this has been said yet already, The "Deep Chill" cast by the dragons between the 2nd and 3rd boss, that does a snare/Magic dot on all players, This is nasty for a healer, but you can drop the dot instantly using certain specs/abilities, if the Snare goes, the dot goes, So i play MM hunter, and i literally just Disengage as soon as the dot goes on me and boom, i take 1 tick! ive seen a druid shapeshift out of it as a healer, Pally Freedoms etc etc majority of them will remove the dot.
This ^. Also... The frontal from the dragons does follow the tank but it also has a maximum range. If you just walk away from the dragon as it begins casting you won't take any frontal damage. You just need to make sure your melee DPS doesn't run in front of the dragon chasing any extra mobs that are following you.
Solid tips! Those are definitely some of the more scary mobs in the dungeon so staying on top of mitigating those big damage sources can really help your healer out!
I want to thank you for putting out these amazing guides once again! They're extremely helpful because they go over everything! I have one suggestion for the future that would make consuming them easier for me: Adding the name of the mob and if the cast is kick/stoppable above the little infobox that you add. I usually pause the video for the most important casts to add colors to my plater, but while paused I can't see which mob and if it's kick or stop, so I often have to rewind a bit to hear you say it again. Adding this info as text would help me a lot, but it's certainly more work, so no worries if you feel like you don't need it. Anyway, thanks again for the content and hope s2 goes well for you!
No problem at all! Would definitely recommend checking out my ability spreadsheet as that may have the info you're looking for, you can find it here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xcazwg59rRt11BdPld17EQtwPSOT8rDx_zUpEA-dWlM/edit?usp=sharing
man, dispels are a hot commodity nowadays lol if the trend continues i feel like it would be nice to maybe condense poison and disease dispel or something, there’s just so many kinds!
No problem! Yeah there are a ton of poison/disease dispels this season, and off the top of my head only a single important curse dispel from the last boss in Neltharus. Hybrid classes definitely gonna bring a lot of utility between that and Afflicted!
@Tactyks I've also found it good bad luck protection for pugs. Every time I've done the other way it has eventually led to a longer run back after a wipe.
A crucial strategy I’ve seen on the first boss is having everyone with the dot stack before it expires so the patch it leaves takes up minimal space. It’s also nice to do something similar on the frog by stacking loosely before the swoglets come so they’re easier to cleave.
@@Theparadoxd7 You'll take a few ticks of damage but assuming you run asap its not a big deal and the value of being stacked for healing (at least for most healing specs) will outweigh that on most key levels.
Did you know, in the gauntlet before the last boss, you can stand directly behind those "pillars" and the water will not affect you? As a tank I like pulling to the next "pillar" and then just planting in the safe spot with my back to the waves, so I never have to move. It was somewhat visible in this video (you were in the wave but didn't get pushed), but seemed like you tried to move away regardless, so I'm not sure if you knew!
I wonder if that got hotfixed since? I noticed the pillars dont LoS you from mobs anymore which is nice for casters, constantly was having issues there
@@footay5 Just been in there as tank and done the same thing as always. Pretty sure that won't get "fixed" since to me it looks like an intended mechanic.
Thanks for these guides, they are insanely clear, Quick question for this dungeon: can you pick up the mushroom Before engaging with frog boss? say you wanna go the route suggested and not pick up the initial mushroom but the 2nd one makes the frog alot easier, is it pickup-able before engaging the frog?
Personally I didn't find the mushroom buff super necessary if you have even a single poison dispel in your group, even on the frog boss itself, which is why I didn't bother pathing through the right side after 1st boss. If your group doesn't have a poison dispel it could definitely be worth going that direction to grab it though. Unfortunately didn't see if the mushroom was in range to be grabbed before engaging the frog boss :(
There's an alchemy disease cleanse in Brackenhide, an extra action button speed increase in Neltharus from cooking as well as a one-time damage hit from Blacksmithing, and finally a stacking passive speed increase from mining in Uldaman.
I don't think you'll see a dungeon as easy as Shadowmoon was just because Blizz has said that it was too easy, but in terms of the easier keys this season my guess would be Underrot or Freehold (though the last boss in freehold is a bit scary atm).
AoE CCs and slows are super useful, things like Ursols, Crippling poison, anything from a frost mage, etc just to keep them away from your group and then spam poison dispels on melee. That or go down the left hallway instead!
As a tank im getting knocked away by the squall buffet and the boss is instantly turning and smacking a melee (usually killing with a 1 shot) am i doing something wrong?
That's a known bug on the boss currently, unfortunately not really much you can do about it unless you have a way to prevent the knockback from happening. Otherwise just gotta wait til they fix it :(
So idk why but when I played this dung as a 15 last night I couldn’t see the difference in the ice pillars no cracks or different colors nothing and of course kept dieing when I tried to stand behind one. Lost the timed key cuz of it 😢
And also they should’ve put a bigger difference like blue and or red or something very noticeable. I died to that and the stupid floor mechanic even though I wasn’t in it for long. Thanks a lot blizzard 🎉
Yeah the trash on that side is definitely a bit more difficult and the skip itself is probably the worst one I've seen, just remember not to release later on in the dungeon!
that trash gauntlet is just a harder and much more often version of tarvold (boss from sanguine depths i think) and that shit sucked with pugs. cant wait to avoid this dungeon like the plague as a caster
ah yes the halls of infusion, im actually not the biggest fan of this dungeon for a multitude of reasons. trash is a nightmare on fort and is very dangerous on pugs, irideus sucks to fight (especially on pugs), gulping goliath is tedious, and wave section is horrendous.
Why did they put the skip holes in a spot where you forced to clear the right side every run? M+ is boring enough already with people just running the boring route everytime and counts that are too lenient leading to invis skips. Now Blizz is forcing routing? Just let us raiders never touch this part of the game please. So mundane and the mechanics are always 80 times easier than raid bleh
Note this dungeon just got some count changes hotfixed, so the route at the end may not be accurate but I'll update the wago route link once the changes are implemented in MDT.

A note on the shortcut, the one to the frog boss room opens even if you dont defeat him. I think its tied to the minibosses before his room

Yo did they add updated party frames? Mine looks like the older style and don't see an option.
My party frames are actually an addon, grid2 if you're interested!
What is giving your warrior wings?
That would be the very rare dragon scale trinket off the first boss of the raid
